His name is Thomas Rhett Akins, Rhett is his middle name, it's a southern thing!
He's named after his dad and has always been called Thomas Rhett since he was little. His dad, Rhett Akins, is also a singer songwriter in Nashville.
a lot of southern people call each other by both their first and middle name and Thomas Rhett’s last name is Akins, not really Rhett and that’s why she keeps calling him by both his middle and first name. (:

His full name is Thomas Rhett Akins. I think it's a southern thing to use first and middle names. They use both first and middle names when talking about their children.
