They should've released Anti-Venom during the HV week, I feel like the game mode could've pumped more hype to the card given how the mode incentivised players to put more higher cost cards in their deck which is what an Anti Venom deck wants
I know it’s very telegraphed deck but anti venom is a HUGE tribunal enabler now with another option to reach into the deck basically because it makes a card free
Apparently, they made him a 4/7. Which means the card was probably performing REALLY poorly internally. I’m pretty sure that’s a sign to skip him lmao.

The biggest downside of AntiVenom is that he’s a dead card if drawn on Turn 6. I also don’t think he’ll be a strong card this season, and I wouldn’t be surprised if they do buff him to 4/7 when releasing. However, he could be the best synergy partner for Frigga-the first spotlight card next season. With AntiVenom on Turn 4 and a 0-cost card drawn, followed by Frigga on Turn 5, you’d have another 0-cost card ready for Turn 6. This might be a powerful new combo, and I’m looking forward to it.
I see Anti-Venom/Luke as a variant of Pixie/Mobius. You usually want to run Pixie when Mobius is already good, so additionally high-rolling a free card is good. And if you play Pixie without Mobius you're just making your deck worse. Anti-Venom will be run when Luke's a good meta call, so a free additional card is just a good bonus. But outside of this specific 2 card combo he's just bad. Not running Luke and hoping you hit a 0-power is Magical Fantasy Land, never gonna happen.
I might still pull since I like combo deck and I’m missing two cards this week. I feel like this card would be improved if it drew a card to hand and set it to 0.
Synergy I would like to try is Bast. Also, Anti-Venom might be quite decent even without Luke or Shadow King. Crucially he allows you to play an additional card on turn 6. Maybe Hit Monkey deck or Surfer might like him? Anti-Venom might turn out to be good..
Bast means you MUST play anti T4 and Bast T5 and then the pulled card T6. If u play either off that curve the combo doesn't work. Feels a bit restrictive for a 3 power card when u can just drop luke cage or shadow king
@@BushSage Most popular deck of Bast usually aims to play Hit monkey with many cards on turn 6 and usually most cards have low power to begin with (thus not so useful for Cage or Shadow King). That is where turn 5 Bast might not be a bad idea compared to Cage nd Shadow King.
I have a hard time saying that he's going to be bad because every card that comes out that allows you to cheat energy has been pretty good. Im definitely waiting till next weekend to decide to get him though
I don't think this card will be very good. If he were 3 cost it would be better, but at 4 that means you basically have to have really good RNG in the last two turns of the game to make use of his ability. All of these RNG-heavy cards tend to perform poorly.
The floor is actually much lower than a 4/6 if they have mobius. Anti venom could make your whole next draw completely useless and lose you a card play in that instance
Bounce is the most popular deck right now and nobody is playing Mobius. Most times playing Mobius just leaves you behind in power whilst your opponent is getting ahead.
Anti venom gives you a free card to play on turn 6. It makes you way harder to predict when you have full control. This card is going to be a cube stealer in the right decks.

Anti Venom SHOULD be "Draw a card and make its cost and power 0." This can make him good. But without the draw, Anti Venom seems lacking.
With the draw, he wouldn’t be good. He would easily be one of the strongest cards in the game, no contest.
