Finally, American tax payer dollars spent wisely. Wonderful performance, and must confess brought a little tear or two.....after watching the political and progressive nonsense that has been tearing the fiber of this country apart....was 8 minutes, thirty six seconds of my life well invested.......the USAF band never disappoints......thank you.....
This is what America is about, everyone working together, regardless of skin color, age, gender. Thank you so much for your service, all branches of the military. Have a safe and happy hew year.
THANK YOU, ALL OF YOU, FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR NATION. AND FROM A FELLOW MUSICIAN, I WANT YOU TO KNOW THAT THIS PARTICULAR VIDEO BLESSED ME MORE THAN I CAN DESCRIBE. ONE DAY WE WILL HAVE PEACE ON EARTH AND GOOD WILL TOWARDS MEN, AND YOU ALL WILL PLAY A PART IN BRINGING IT IN. THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH, AND GOD BLESS YOU, AND GOD BLESS AMERICA!
sharon davis 1 second ago Beautiful! I am proud of all our military people even in 2017....May they be safe a well this new year of 2018 and may they all come home to a grateful nation for their bravery and loyalty to the USA
Faces in the choir and children in the audience were lit up like Christmas trees! Who knows the number of children inspired by this "happen-chance" concert. Fun for all - VERY PROUD OF OUR AIR FORCE!! EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE AND CAMERA WORK!!! Showing the world and Hollywood HOW TO DO IT!!!
I look forward to these public performances every year and every year and bowled over by the talent on display. I still feel the 2015 at Union Station is still my favorite, but this one works exceedingly well. Best wishes to all for a happy and musical holiday season.
WOW, so many talented Airmen ans Airwomen. I have never scene so many Master Sargent's in one place. Their performance made me proud to have served 21 years in the Air Force. What a beautiful and well done performance.
Proud of our Air Force's Airman-musicians, who are just as talented and brilliant in camouflage singing to deployed troops, as they are in dress uniforms in our nation's capital! Thanks for sharing your ability to uplift and unite all who hear you! Aim High--always :)
That was fabulous. Warming the hearts and souls the spectators and hearts and souls of those who performed this Christmas surprise. Starting with " Dona nobis pacem ". "Give us peace,". While usually sung in the traditional 'Cannon' format . This musical arrangement starting with baritone voice solo and then adding a soprano voice was absolutely a beautiful goose bump moment . Christmas from around the world !! Irish step dancing combines the entrancing rhythms of traditional Celtic music with the grace and energy of dance. The fife instrument and dueling violin's set a perfect rhythm for the Irish step dancing . What a welcome twist to a Christmas program . Then back to American musical roots with the Jazz "We Wish You a Merry Christmas" instrumental. Adding the fun and talented jazz dance with a jive dance choreography added in for good measure . Charming ! Topping the entire performance off with the entire ensemble in a wonderful finally ; that was a true spectacle !!
It would be wonderful if the USAF band could play at one of our HS marching band competitions. Perhaps they could entice our children to continue with music!
Outstanding! The tears are rolling down my cheeks. Thank you USAF members for sharing your musical talents with us this Christmas and in years before. Thanks especially to all of the parents of these airmen and airwomen who saw to it that their children learned to sing, to dance or play a musical instrument. You gave them a gift and they are sharing it with the citizenry on this occasion! Merry Christmas!
Finally, American taxpayer dollars spent wisely. Wonderful performance, and must confess brought a little tear or two.....after watching the political and progressive nonsense that has been tearing the fiber of this country apart....was 8 minutes, thirty six seconds of my life well invested.......the USAF band never disappoints......thank you.....
Just gorgeous....thanks from the family of SMSGT John Dodge (USAF, Ret.) Merry Christmas and the happiest of holidays to the finest musicians in the armed forces.
Truly, truly spectacular. Beautiful setting, fantastic production, excellent musicianship, and an absolutely top-notch video. Thank you so much, USAF Band!
Amazing, inspiring and wonderful! Tried of the same old same old Christmas music everywhere you tune in? XM, Amazon, commercial radio has nothing like this. Please make the time to check out previous Christmas Flash Mobs of the USAF- no matter what your politics, this makes you proud to be an American.
Wow!!! What an incredible musical experience! Thank you so much for blessing my heart so much with your musical performance! Loved it!!! Please keep up the good work.
thank you for your service and the incredible concert! may God bless you, keep you safe, as you protect us through your commitment. so glad the pc crowd hasnt spoiled the blue bringing us a favorite of our holidays as tears well up with pride.
I somehow missed this video being posted last winter. I am in awe. I watch every single one of these holiday flash mob performances by the USAF Band every year and they just keep pushing higher and higher. Every year is even more incredible of a performance than the previous, and they're ALL already pretty damn amazing. This was their best one yet. I can't wait to see what they do for the 2018 holiday flash mob in these next couple weeks.
Sadly, this was their last holiday "flash mob". They did mention it last year. They went out with a bang on last year's performance. This year they performed 'One Voice' at the National Cathedral. Not elaborate but nevertheless a good performance.
@@alwilliam3379 Aww, I'm sad to hear that. I enjoyed their incredible flash mob videos every year and looked forward to the next year's. I was hoping to be able and lucky enough to witness one of their flash mob performances in person some year. I do agree, if this performance last year had to be their last flash mob performance, they absolutely went out with a bang! Thanks for letting me know this was their final flash mob. I had been checking every day for the past week or two hoping to see a new one uploaded for this year, at least now I know it won't be coming.
I have tears i my eyes, and joy in my heart for this wonderful rendition,. Merry Christmas to all !! These musicians have their ducks in a row !! Viva the U.S. Air Force !!!
The Gospel Tide Choir had it's humble beginning in 1960 directed by Nelson Byers until 1993 after which Fred Keener directed thru 2004. Purpose of music was for the international radio broadcast "Gospel Tide Hour originating in Chambersburg, Pa founded by Rev. C. B. Byers.
Dammit! I was there in that exact same spot one day before this happened! We live in Toronto but we were in Manassas visiting my other half‘s nephew for the holidays, but our time was so limited, that, and I had no idea they were going to perform The next day. If I knew that I would’ve stayed one more day,. If you’ve never been there, it’s an absolutely incredible hotel with the biggest atrium I’ve ever seen in my life. Everything you see is inside this gigantic atrium that is pretty much an indoor full sized park! Our nephew took us there thinking the concert was that day, so we got there and found out from somebody that we missed it. So he hung around for a while, and went back to Manassas, which is just outside of DC, and headed back to Toronto the next day....little did we know....the information we received from a hotel staff member was completely wrong. I wanted to go back and strangle that person after I found out we missed the entire show and we could’ve stayed an extra day to see it! We weren’t staying at the Gaylord hotel, but I’ve already booked our rooms there for next year, you have just got to see it to believe it, it’s absolutely incredible, and we have nothing like that here in Toronto, despite being one of the biggest cities in North America. If you’ve never been there, I highly recommend going, just to see the place is worth the trip! And even though today is only September 17, I’ll say it anyways, very merry Christmas to all and a happy new year! (Yep, I am one of those crazy Christmas fanatics, because I carry the spirit of Christmas in my heart 365 days a year, I don’t donate money to the homeless or help other charities just around the holidays, but all of the days throughout the year. Christmas is sort of the pinnacle of generosity, but for me, it means so much more than that) PS - we were thinking of spending this Christmas in Manhattan, as I’ve heard that Christmas at Rockefeller Centre is quite the site to behold, does anybody know if that’s true, and if so, what week would be the best time to go visit so we can get the most out of our vacation. I’m definitely a city person, and I fell in love with Manhattan the moment I first went there years ago. If only I had good health and more money, I swear to God I would move there! I hope you Americans realize just how much you have to be thankful for, and what a beautiful country live in!
As a USAF Veteran (SSGT Medic Vietnam), I couldn't be prouder of these guys! I fervently hope this is not the last Flash Mob, as hinted, but perhaps as an alternative their Holiday Concerts could be video recorded and posted for public enjoyment?! Congratulations on a superb performance!!
They are! Go to their Facebook page and they list the links to their livestream. They are at Constitution Hall this weekend for shows. facebook.com/USAFBand
THANK-YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY. AND I WOULD LIKE TO APOLOGIZE TO YOU FOR ALL AMERICANS FOR THE REALLY UN-KIND TREATMENT THAT YOU ALL RECEIVED ONCE YOU WERE HOME FROM VIET NAM. YOU GUYS WILL ALWAYS BE HEROES! MERRY CHRISTMAS, AND GOD BLESS YOU!
Corben Bowen pointing something out doesn’t make someone a keyboard warrior. People in a branches band are full time band members. That’s all they do for their career. They don’t serve, they play in a band. Literally every other mos has something to do with supporting an effort except the band. The af just recruited a girl and promoted her directly to ssgt because she was good looking and popular. All she does is sing. That’s it. It’s not service. It’s not sacrifice. It has absolutely nothing to do with defending the Constitution.
That was amazing!! I love how the production of the performance has gotten bigger and better each year. Thanks for your service and have a Happy Holidays!
The woman that appears in the beginning of this video, has such a perfect and beautiful voice
Beautiful...proud and lucky to have been called a United States Air Force Airman 1980-84,Thank you.
You know what's truly amazing about this vid? The kids were engaged and enjoying it
Finally, American tax payer dollars spent wisely. Wonderful performance, and must confess brought a little tear or two.....after watching the political and progressive nonsense that has been tearing the fiber of this country apart....was 8 minutes, thirty six seconds of my life well invested.......the USAF band never disappoints......thank you.....
Play for Jesus !! God bless.. Merry Christmas Patriots and fellow Americans
This is what America is about, everyone working together, regardless of skin color, age, gender. Thank you so much for your service, all branches of the military. Have a safe and happy hew year.
It doesn't have to be Christmas to watch this. I save the USAF vids and watch them often. Always puts a smile on my face and goose bumps on the arms.
What an honor and a blessing, to be able to create beauty, and bring such joy to others, in the service of their country!
My favorite is still flash mob 360 at the air museum 💃🏽💃🏽💃🏽👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Terrific! I liked when the director pointed for that last high trumpet note.
That trumpet at the end!! Very cool.
