Using Opera 10.63 on Windows ME, I was able to view the full Twitter site perfectly and aside from not being able to play videos, RUclips loaded correctly. Windows ME is surprisingly still decent for web browsing. I even have ME on a real computer.
intel386DX, have you ever used it? Everyone says Windows Vista is awful and most of them have never even touched it. Yes, Vista was bad, but the keyword is "was". Once Service Pack 2 was released, Vista became a very stable OS that I used as my main OS for about a year until that computer died. ME in my opinion is the same way. I suggest that you try ME for yourself in 2018 and see if it's really as bad as you think. I'm not saying it's better than 98, but it does have some advantages, notably superior hardware support.
I am familiar with all windows versions from Windows 3.x to 7 :) And yes I used ME in some point and Vista too , ME is very bed , because it is DOS based like 3.x and 9x, but in the same time it tries to be far from DOS so you do not have restart in MS-DOS mode in shut down menu, the scan-disk is only in windows environment, and so on .DOS based applications are with worse support then in 9x and there are not so many drivers for ME at all, and it crashes more often then 9x , and the system requirements are much higher then in 95 and even 98SE

TendoFan *Yes.* If you want the real name it's Jojos Bizarre Adventures. And it's split into parts. As the time I'm writing this there are a total of 8 parts. Four animated (hopefully 5 soon ;-;) and four in the manga. They follow this order: Phantom Blood, Battle Tendency, Stardust Crusaders, Diamond is Unbreakable/(manga now), Vento Aureo(my favorite part), Stone Ocean, Steel Ball Run(arguably THE best part of jojo), and finally Jojolion(still going on btw). Each part has a separate jojo with their distinct personalities, stories, and (potential) anime. It's a 9.69/10 for an anime and manga for me imo :]!
I was born in 2001 so XP was my first introduction to windows and boy oh boy what a great introduction it was! If there's one thing I remember from my early childhood it's playing Tonka Construction on my parent's dinosaur computer.
I actually used Windows 2000 and MEPIS or Kubuntu 8.04 at the time Windows XP was out. I actually still have two computers that use Windows XP so I can play games like Age of Empires, but my brothers are always on them so... das nice...

RUclips still works on my Windows XP SP3 computer using Firefox. However, good luck getting a copy of Firefox for Windows XP or Vista because they stopped supporting those OS' a couple of years ago. It does buffer a lot though, but this is mainly due to the fact my Windows XP computer has a Pentium 4HT processor in it.
The latest version of Firefox still supports Windows XP and Vista. I know this because I just updated to the latest version on a 2007 Mac Mini running Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 32-Bit. I think you're referring to Chrome because Chrome support ended for Windows XP and Vista in 2015.
Dreamcast Gamer I haven't tried to install the latest version of Firefox on my Windows XP computer. However, according to Firefox the ESR version of Firefox still works with Windows XP and Vista. Unfortunately they are going to remove support for them in the next big up date. Also, according to a Firefox forum, the ESR version is what is offered to you when you go to Firefox's website with XP or Vista.
I wasn't aware of the XP/Vista version being different. That's really sad that support is finally being dropped. I think Vista at least deserves better than that since definitely a far more capable OS than most people give it credit for.
who cares about classic shell. it's just for looks. windows 10 is still spyware at the end of the day and there's nothing you can do about that. Windows 7 is and, by the looks of it, always will be the best Windows.

vista wasn't the best system but it did work to say the least, I'm sticking with my 7 pro for as long as i can (installed on a lenovo that was bundled with 8.1).

A couple years ago I put all the old PCs we had (2 Windows XP Dells, a Windows 98 IBM, and a Windows 95 Computer Renaissance) together in one of the Dell cases to make one PC with a ton of USB ports, a couple hard drives, and between 1 and 2 GB of RAM. It could actually do a lot more than I thought it would be able to, and i loved messing with it. I watched RUclips in at least 720p (I used Chrome), played System Shock 2 on max settings, at least got Minecraft running on a couple different updates, beat Tomb Raider 1 for the 50th time, and I think I got OBS working (despite not trying to stream with it because what would I stream?... System Shock 2 I guess). Windows XP is weird and old, but it just looks so beautiful and I love it.
