- Traded Impulse MACD and Zero Lag MACD 100 times, are they better than a normal MACD?
The MACD indicator was invented in the 1970s, The Gameboy haven't even been released yet, so why are you still using it right now? because there are newer types of MACD that were created this century, like the IMPULSE MACD, and the ZERO LAG MACD

Filter trades with a 200ema - you're win rate will improve. This has been mentioned in a few comments already, together with the idea of using the non-lag macd as an entry signal & the normal macd as an exit. Perhaps do another video using this strategy on a 5 min time frame
Fantastic advice. Clear concise presentation. Thanks I am subscribing.
You’re the best Thankyou so much I watched all your videos and I can’t believe you’re teaching us this for free ! God Bless , & Happy Holidays ! 💕
Thanks for the analysis and heads-up!
Great video and content, very helpful.
Great video and effort, 10/10
Hey boss, please test a price action system on xauusd m5 to m30. You have a great way of explaining things. 👍
What is the win rate of old macd you did not mention it. Please let us know that.
Try adding a 200ema to this to identify the trend and only trade with the trend. The result might be way better
Nice video👌
Can we Use zero lag Macd for entry and Classic Macd for exit?
Thanks man.
What if you use the zero lag MACD for entry and the normal MACD for exit?
If you used default setting for impulse macd, it's slower (34/9) than normal macd.
I’m actually curious of the win rate if you add 200 ema on these MACDs. Buy only if it’s above 200 ema, then sell if it’s below.
just learn price acton and stop using indicator
@@Anthonyij price action alone is not enough, you need more confirmations.
@@Anthonyij u need to improve ur knowledge ☝️😌
@@UBCA-RAJKUMARM Nothing is guaranteed in trading ^_^
Thank you
GOOD JOB
Please also tell which timeframe do use use..
which system did you use to back test your strategy?
This Zero Lag MACD seems to be very well suitable for HFX binary options trading.
Greetings fellow brethren. Also try filtering using the specific times of day . If you keep your trading of this indicator to only trading during a major market hours or opening , during London and US. Try adjusting sl and tp sizes to find optimum levels which stay within a range,or some currencies require no stop or tp . Just use the entire account balance as stop if thats the case. You should see improvements also the suggestions below are useful as well ,The 200MA etc. GOD BLESS YOU IN JESUS NAME.
Yeah you need a 200 ema to find trend and only buy or sell when the price has actually done some sort of pullback so you can correctly place a stop.
Exactly, I think so
Zero lang macd and macd combination?
anyone know how to identify false macd signals? pls help..
Try doing it like Trading Rush did it. Use the Zero Lag MACD with 200 EMA and 1,5:1 RR
Would there also be an argument for using the ZL MACD for entry and regular MACD for exit? Gonna backtest that this week
@@JSquiff hi, i was thinking the exact same thing. How did your testing go if you dont mind me asking.
@@dhirenm3173 It went alright but you have to keep your eye out for divergences. I got around 65% success rate with a fixed stop loss and exit (no trailing SL or TP) I reckon with proper management this may be the most lucrative as sometimes the MACD signals just as a trend ends which can be detrimental, whereas the zero lag at least has potential for shorter but successful trades. Need to do a more extensive backtest with these adjustments.
@@JSquiff Thank you very much brother for that detailed report. much appreciated .
#1 Mathematics is not bound by time. #2 If you are going to test it, then test it as it was designed to be used. The Zero line is important. Above is uptrend the Below is downtrend.#3 the MACD line is Momentum. The ave line is trend. No one I know trades it the way you tested it.
Sounds reasonable! Do you have more input accessible somewhere?
No good if you don't use Trading View platform.
Would be nice if someone explained the configuration, to allow setup, on other platforms.
Set the ema times from 12, 26, 9 to 3,6,3 and the accuracy rate goes away up.
By activating the "Use Glaz algo" in zero lag it eliminates a lot of bad signals.
A combination of both macds is the winning team.
How to combine normal macd with zero lag?
@@yasinzeydulusoy You just have to select them both from the list on Trading view. They will both be on the screen at the same time👍👍
I appreciate the effort done in this video truly, but you can’t dictate an indicator is good or bad or not recommended based on one test, with rules that I believe don’t make much sense. For example, I’d have tried SLs to be at the last swing low or high, because I’m 1000% you had winning trades, but the SLs were just too tight. I’d have also tried decreasing leverage. And using a 2:1 TP:SL ratio instead of waiting for the next crossover. Bottomline is: the test failed, not the indicator.
Ok so i i will used it in early signals then the other macd in my sell hahaha
Try it with dinapoli macd ur analysis is wrong I tested it and it's more then 55% for 100 trades risk 1:1.5
How about using the Zero Lag MACD for an entrance signal and the normal MACD for the exit? That way you get the best of two worlds…
Woah, that can work really good.
Big brain
ask the VIEWER'S if they would like to see Your strategy with " LIVE " BUY SELL TRADE'S
Your earlyer signal is more risky
27 bucks I'm gona be rich !$$$
TEST MISSING WITH NORMAL MACD
)
dont trust that andicator
Normalized macd is way better
mostly OLD is BETTER :)
lol you're trading them wrong.. thats why you have a million losses ... remake this video but try taking long trades only when the macd is above the zero, and vice versa for shorts. you're welcome.
Works better the opposite way, I.e buy when a cross is under the 0, sell when above. However with this indicator I drew a black box across the 0.05 mark to remove weak crosses. Obviously using 200ema for trend. Did 10 wins 4 losses yesterday on a 2-1 across multiple markets.
@@osirisfilmproductions did you use the black box for the normal macd or for one of the variations shown in this video? Sounds like some strategy with 10 wins and 4 losses!
@@maxvanhorn8678 no because normal macd is smoother so less signals. Essentially it's only so I take the big spike signals and not every single one. That was for the zero lag one. You will see if you look at it. My version also has dots when it crosses which I changed to histo so I can see them better.
Do you really have it at 0.05 or lower? I checked and the zero lag macd never crosses 0.05, but it does with 0.0005 or smt like it
@@maxvanhorn8678 the 50 mark or whatever number looks like a buffer line. Most are the same. So for GU I have it as 0.00100 and -0.00100 (tradingview zerolag macd enhanced 1.2) i also wait for a stop of price not just every signal, has to linger or wick or be at a S&R line before trading too. Otherwise there is no low to put your stop under.
Is English your first language? This was difficult to watch.
What is wrong with your eyes?
It’s more difficult to watch a bank account with zero balance. Lol
zero macd & lag macd not available on my platform.
Useless info from u.
Better for u to improve the 'normal' macd.
Can't do it? Good bye.
