      @@knobblyknob relays are way cheaper than that. Where are you buying them?
      You can pick up a decent number on aliexpress for pretty cheap. Just watch out for the ultra-cheapies

    Polarity switches are 20 dollars, not worth the effort

      not being a smartass. I'd like to genuinly see an example of this working with a polarity switch. I have my doubts.
