These are the type of people I admire. A man who doesn't half-ass his livelihood and is exploding with his passion. Heck this man could be in an even better paying job because of his work ethic, but he didn't care and started doing what he likes. Hats off to you
+PCShogun the complex ones are harder to make videos of. After a certain point it's hard to see what I'm doing and this logo sort of Lent itself to taking you step by step with what I'm doing. So so hard it a videotape I'm always blocking the camera normally
This was a custom batch of 100oz for a specific patient customer. I'm happy to make more, but 100oz will be the minimum. Contact us through the form at www.pd.net od.net
HaileyBailey 72101 I'm gonna be weird for a second. You have a pretty face, and the blue filter you added is great! (How to pick up chicks via RUclips comments #101 lol)
You've mastered your euclidean space, sir. I'd bet you would do great working with 3d computer graphics, especially with your design background. It hurts my head trying to figure out how to build 2d images into a pull-able candy.
as a cartoonist/digital artist this video made me tense up so much from the complexity of the logo and the thought of how much time and energy that must've gone into something like this. something like that would have probably made me take a long break from candy making but you make it look so easy. x.x a true tell of the amount of experience you have doing this.
You know not everybody gets the type of level that I'm working at sometimes. I have to make sure that's enough sugar that when I bend it it doesn't thin the corners.
I find it clever that the guy ordering this chose blueberry specifically, as the "color to have" for STi-developed cars is a mica-infused blue they call, fittingly, "World Rally Blue," as it's the color most of Subaru's rally cars (which were actually developed in Britain!) sported during their golden years of rivalry with Mitsubishi for the World Rally Championship. Of course, we could assume that was a happy accident!
You can assume that the customer is a true expert and lover of Subaru's and I would not think this was by accident, but I don't know. I'm learning a lot about a car maker I've never really thought about before.
Love the overlay showing where the various pieces go together to make the image! I sometimes struggled in previous videos trying to figure out how you were building the image, sometimes it was obvious, other times I was left scratching my head. Thanks!
Its pronounced Im-Pret-Za But i love you channel my girlfriend has so many candy moulds at home but hasnt actually used them yet. Also just realised iv been watching you for 6-7 months and i still havnt subbed so iv just fixxed that
Thanks. I was not up on this car until I made the candy. It was hard to find out a lot of basics of it. Everyone who talks about it assumes you know all the basics already and focuses on the details.
This shows that making candy is just as much a work of engineering as it is an art. You know, I might order from you for my wedding! What is the Japanese style of image candy called, by the way? I'm very curious.
+Bauhauskiddo I don't know the name of the Japanese candy. Friends of mine bring it back for me from Japan but I've never seen it available online. I keep on thinking of making some flowers like they do and flavoring it with lavender and Rose Water
sam urai The candy is clearly engineered, so someone engineered it. Engineering can just mean planning, but in this case it actually is pretty technical. A materials engineer would be right at home here, working with different properties of candy as it cools.
Its too bad no comic book stores have requested a superman S or bat logo or GL or flash, wonderwoman etc. It would be epic to see those made in hard candy!
Hed make it , and end up getting sued , , Ever company owned Superman or Batman would definitely not let anybody else make money off of their product sheesh, even RUclips you have a problem if u use a song that is copyrighted
When I was a kid, my whole family would travel down to England. We'd visit a seaside town and a big tourist draw (back then) was getting to see sticks of rock getting made in person. I discovered your channel a while back and it takes me right back to when I was wee yin, I end up losing so much time watching all these wonderful sweets get made. The production value of your videos is fantastic and I just want to thank for for not only helping keep these wonderful traditional methods alive, but also for taking the time that you do to create these videos. It's unlikely I'll ever be in the US, let alone Florida, but if I am there's a snowball's chance in hell of me not coming to visit.
Disliked the vid, you didn't look into the camera while you pulled the white with your usual goofy smile. Kidding, loved the vid as always, the STI logo came out pretty awesome and the Hazy red actually ads to it since the red used in the STI logo is a bit lighter aswel.
I need this candy. This would be great for a local subaru meet, I have an STi myself. Also all STi's are all wheel drive, not 4wd. 4wd is freely able to switch between 2wd mode and 4 wheel drive sending power to both axles. Subaru's AWD sends power to each wheel individually (basically) through 3 differentials.
I love everything about your videos! I love the music and the history lesson you always add in. Everything about your videos are great! please keep making them
Thanks for explaining to us how you go about planning for a "logo" inside the candy. Now my curiosity has been answered!! Also, Happy Spring Greg and the rest of the Logy Pursuits Family!!
As an owner of two subarus, you did a great job with the description of the STI, and do a wonderful job with the production of the candy. Some day my family will come and visit in person.
When you speak of the design of the candy and the process of making it, you sound like you have a grudge. It sounds like, and looks like a lot of blood, sweat and tears went into this candy. And I must say, the end result looks beautiful and exactly the type of thing that I'd like, although blueberry isn't my flavor. You do fantastic work, keep it up.
Amazing artistry, Greg! It was thoughtful to show the different parts of the logo that you were creating as you were doing it with the sugar. It made it much easier to visualize what you were doing. This looked like a very challenging design to create, but the result was great! Thanks for sharing. :)
I really enjoyed this style of video. From explaining the design to the sketch and especially the graphic showing the design coming together. Awesome vid!
No matter what subject matter it is, as long as it's got a good level of skill and workmanship I can deeply appreciate most videos and this was very entertaining indeed!
With any car brand comes stereotypes; mustangs and pedestrians, subarus and VapeBros, Ford Focus RS and the Ken Block wanna-bes, and my personal favorite, Lamborghinis and the fanboys who always have "that friend who's doing a UGR twin turbo kit"...
Before I saw this video, I thought you were pretty cool and I enjoyed your videos. In this video you blew my mind with the complexity of the design. You're a candy wizard! Also, I love XKCD!
I have a bunch of Malic acid. not much difference, and to me not much of a taste difference. Some say that apple tastes better with it, but I can't tell. Citric acid is just easier for me to get and at my arms reach.
Well done! Love the detailing of your process, you haven't done that very many times! Was this your most complex design ever? I may have missed a few. :)
On video, this may be it. Normally I don't video the hard ones since I need to spend all my concentration on the candy. Also may designs don't lend themselves to this type of breakdown. I took advantage of the simple advantage that I could do it.
I really like that image style. How are you faring with catching up on back orders? Just curious so I know about when to expect my order from a while back.
I'm really surprised to hear these delays. I ordered a few days before Christmas and delivery came at the end of January. so around 3 weeks. I'm not sure why it's taking 6+ weeks for others...
If you ever changed your mind, or decided to do online classes; I'd be 100% there. I'd love to go into candy making and I watch so many candy making videos at work that people ask me when I'm going to open my own confectionary :P

Greg, you are incredible. You have an amazing level artistry in the candy making, doing it the best old fashioned way. Also your videos are incredible. Keep it up man. I can't wait to visit you guys in Tallahassee sometime.
An interesting point about your customer's flavor choice is that an iconic COLOR for the Subarus/STI cars is a very unique, vibrant BLUE color. Very cool and well thought-out to do the flavor as sour blueberry, as well. :D
you're a talented and beautiful man Greg. Mouth is watering at the thought of those sour sweets (candy just isn't in my language). Thanks for doing what you do.
These are the type of people I admire. A man who doesn't half-ass his livelihood and is exploding with his passion.

PsyCoCinematics go to my q&a video and ask why this happens.
was about to say that
psyco, what are you doing here.
Omg I'm a huge fan of your warframe video
PsyCoCinematics poop. Poop
Certainly one of your most complex creations from the numerous videos I have seen.
+PCShogun the complex ones are harder to make videos of. After a certain point it's hard to see what I'm doing and this logo sort of Lent itself to taking you step by step with what I'm doing. So so hard it a videotape I'm always blocking the camera normally

GoPro?
JM Kupihea Canon SL1
PCShogun 6 hours depending on where you come from.
I've never seen a video from you that involves so much precision over temperature and with as tricky a design as that.
+CheesyBread They are hard to shoot.
I guess its only fitting getting a STI would leave a sour taste in your mouth
Skyline Fabrication bruh
Lmaooo
No way I have been watching this channel for over a year never did I think you guys would do my favorite thing in the world. Subaruuuuuu!!!!!!
+Aaron Kemble Thanks. Make sure you cross post to Subaru forums.
Lofty Pursuits is there anyway I could purchase some of this candy or order it

Right?? I was so excited to see this 😍
Aaron Kemble I agree with you, but if you love Subarus so much, then why is your profile pic. A Chevy?
I will make it a mission to come see you guys
agreed
HaileyBailey 72101 their like 45 min away from me ha😂
HaileyBailey 72101 I'm gonna be weird for a second. You have a pretty face, and the blue filter you added is great! (How to pick up chicks via RUclips comments #101 lol)
Leshelou112 I bet hes testing pickup lines on youtube comments. But I dont know.
I went and it was SO FUN!

+Friendly Metroid yes, I'm good at three dimensional visualation.

Lofty Pursuits Now try non-euclidean geometry. Create something Lovecraft would be proud of.

Trighhorn no you wont
Joke police, this joke is too funny!
Oh my, you win! ♥

Mickey the Luxray or the buyer works for Subaru and thinks it makes sense that way 😉
Lofty Pursuits what happens to the extra candy that you pull off before you cut it
We sell it in the store under the name unicorn droppings.
Lofty Pursuits I saw those at ur store when I was there u also showed me the drawing for the STI
Love the overlay showing where the various pieces go together to make the image! I sometimes struggled in previous videos trying to figure out how you were building the image, sometimes it was obvious, other times I was left scratching my head. Thanks!
that's an unfortunate name for a Subaru company...
It's a japanese car. The Ford Nova must have been a great seller in spanish speaking countries. (Nova = no va = "no go") It happens.
Lofty Pursuits o-oh...
Its pronounced Im-Pret-Za
But i love you channel my girlfriend has so many candy moulds at home but hasnt actually used them yet.
Also just realised iv been watching you for 6-7 months and i still havnt subbed so iv just fixxed that
Thanks. I was not up on this car until I made the candy. It was hard to find out a lot of basics of it. Everyone who talks about it assumes you know all the basics already and focuses on the details.
Well your a candy artisan not a mechanic and i hope i can one day try some of your candy but do you ship to the UK?
This shows that making candy is just as much a work of engineering as it is an art. You know, I might order from you for my wedding! What is the Japanese style of image candy called, by the way? I'm very curious.
+Bauhauskiddo I don't know the name of the Japanese candy. Friends of mine bring it back for me from Japan but I've never seen it available online. I keep on thinking of making some flowers like they do and flavoring it with lavender and Rose Water
Lofty Pursuits That sounds really cool, be sure to show the process if you do!
Ooh, lavender candy!
Excessive planning does not equate to engineering. It equates to planning, amazingly.
sam urai The candy is clearly engineered, so someone engineered it.
I;ve done the bat logo. It was for a kids birthday party.
Lofty Pursuits might need to do the batman logo for my fiancee and logo for me for our wedding in the future lol
Hed make it , and end up getting sued ,
, Ever company owned Superman or Batman would definitely not let anybody else make money off of their product sheesh, even RUclips you have a problem if u use a song that is copyrighted
Say that to every Ice Cream truck that has Winnie the Pooh or Mickey Mouse on it
As a Subaru owner; Thank you for the effort! As a sour candy lover; I'd love to try it!
+savagedias The response has amused me. Please spread the video around if you know any other Subaru folks out there
Am i the only person that feels a little uncomfortable about eating candy with "STI" on it? lmao
Cas Marshall lol
Subaru Technica International.
That’s exactly what I was thinking lol
Only brits should be uncomfortable as in the us they call them stds not stis
no? grow up

Julian T. Is there local Subaru meets?
i like the 2014 Dixon Ticonderoga better than the wrx
Julian T. No one cares about technicalites lol.. 4 wheels equals all wheels..
Faelan Redmond that's a good one
still a 12yr old at heart :)
I love your voice Greg, and your candies are beautiful . I look forward to each new video and rewatch old ones in anticipation between uploads.
Whoa!!! You did it! You actually did it! That design seems like it'd be impossible to make in candy, but holy cow...!! There it is.😲😮😀
Lol that rolling pin bit is hilarious.
I love everything about your videos! I love the music and the history lesson you always add in. Everything about your videos are great! please keep making them

Lofty Pursuits does this mean you can make Japanese candy now? Or Chinese or whatever Asian language this is.....
Alucard
Chinese looks sooo different from Japanese. Go back to school.
Oh I love this! My husband and his friends are huge car guys and he would love this! I’m going to send it to him! 😍❤️
These are some of my favorite videos on youtube
+mistyaqua Thank you.
Love watching you work your art. The history stories make it that much better.
as an automotive enthusiast with a sweet tooth I think this is pretty darn awesome!

Actually it sounds like I had a cold coming on when I did the voice overs. :( sorry it sounded like a grudge.
Torfi Þorgrímsson
He’s too busy making amazing candy to worry about displeasing picky RUclips commenters.
Amazing artistry, Greg! It was thoughtful to show the different parts of the logo that you were creating as you were doing it with the sugar. It made it much easier to visualize what you were doing. This looked like a very challenging design to create, but the result was great! Thanks for sharing. :)
I am so excited! I will vist Lofty pursuits because of a school field trip! I'm so happy! hopefully my crush will sit next to me.... :)
lemon goodness How did it go?
lemon goodness hope she vomits all over you
lemon goodness So are you and your crush married now?
I really enjoyed this style of video. From explaining the design to the sketch and especially the graphic showing the design coming together. Awesome vid!
I hope I'm not the only juvenile person who laughed at the "rods going flat" part.
No, no you are not. And I don't think it was said by mistake.
I only laughed when i read your comment...
An AMAZING job !!! You have certainly found your calling in life. You are a perfect candy man !!
I watch these vids for the candy but I mostly watch these vids to be satisfied. Doesn't anyone else
No matter what subject matter it is, as long as it's got a good level of skill and workmanship I can deeply appreciate most videos and this was very entertaining indeed!
This is a little off topic, but are you as excited as I am about the Black Currant Cola that Pepsi is producing in their 1893 lineup?
Your a great narrator. Truly a pleasure to watch and learn a true art
Of course an STI dudebro wants his candies EXTREME SOUR!!!
bulbinking it's actually pretty annoying for actual Subaru enthusiasts to be considered dudebros because of teenage posers
I'm a mechanic for Subaru not a dudebro and I ordered it to give to customers when they picked up there vehicles
can i have some? pls :)
I wonder if they asked if the candies can be vaped
Subaru is one of my fav car manufacturers. And Lofty Pursuits is my favourite candy manufacturer
OMG an xkcd fan. :-)
Amazing skill ❤️such a beautiful way to keep handmade artisan candy alive .. I absolutely love this
It's torture watching these videos while waiting for you guys to get to my online order, lol. Oh well, the best stuff in life takes time.
I’m a huge Subaru fan. Seeing outsiders laughing at the STI badge is kinda funny. It’s incredible watching you work your magic Greg.
before you put the finished logo in the log, it really looked like bacon. lol
Before I saw this video, I thought you were pretty cool and I enjoyed your videos. In this video you blew my mind with the complexity of the design. You're a candy wizard! Also, I love XKCD!
Do you ever use Malic acid instead of Citric acid for candy- What are the pros and cons of them for candy making?
I have a bunch of Malic acid. not much difference, and to me not much of a taste difference. Some say that apple tastes better with it, but I can't tell. Citric acid is just easier for me to get and at my arms reach.
wow, never knew you could put so much detail into hand made candy!
Simply OUTSTANDING. You are a candy making GENIUS!!!!❤❤❤❤
Subie gang
It made my day finding out that you read xkcd
I really like that image style. How are you faring with catching up on back orders? Just curious so I know about when to expect my order from a while back.
darkether same here .. ordered mine about 6 1/2 wks ago.. sweet tooth is screaming @ me FEED ME LOFTY CANDY !
My order was 5 weeks ago. Still haven't received anything. Not impressed.
zalmaflash They are a rather small company. cut em some slack
Shit...im 3 weeks in hoping it was coming this week. Then i read all these comments 💔
I'm really surprised to hear these delays. I ordered a few days before Christmas and delivery came at the end of January. so around 3 weeks. I'm not sure why it's taking 6+ weeks for others...
I just got my candy order and it is so good!!!! I got blueberry and variety pack, it's the best candy I've ever had!
Do you do classes?
Except for employees in training, not so far.
If you ever changed your mind, or decided to do online classes; I'd be 100% there. I'd love to go into candy making and I watch so many candy making videos at work that people ask me when I'm going to open my own confectionary :P
That's a candy masterpiece! I love Cars and I love candy too, never thought I would see them togheter!
My girlfriend gave me an STI.
I am a brewer. Just like you we must document EVERYTHING and pay attention to small details such as temperatures, times, and flavor production. We are like mad scientists my friend. Cheers🍻🍻 I hope one day I can try your candy, and you can try my beer.
subaru technica international
From a Subaru Ambassador, this was awesome! Great work!
you always talk about how important temperature is, have you ever considered a patreon or gofundme for a FLIR camera? then you could actually see the different temps like you say!
there's even a smartphone with a flir built in.
Or you could buy one with your own money like an adult.
Hats off to ya brother. That took some critical thinking and craftsmanship
The actual candy design turned out great! The name of Subaru's product is gross. Did their R&D guys get mad at the marketing guys & just let them run with this horrible abbreviation?
Katie Kok you’re gross ,sti life
Katie Kok it's not a big deal outside the US. It stands for Subaru technica international.
sexually transmitted international
Amazing example of just how complex the process can be.
When i saw the thumbnail i thought they made S.T.I infused candy. Imagine eating a gummy bear and getting aids.
mmmmm aids
The mastery at play here never ceases to amaze.
lol sti
Carol W Subaru technica international
Carol W Japanese company so how would they know? Just like the nova meaning no go in Spanish
I’ve never come across some that referred to it as “STI” I’ve only heard “STD”
I'm addicted to this channel
Evos all day
i love how these videos are like... showing how much of a science that candy making can be. like. thats so interesting
Subaru fans won't correct you because they don't even know what their talking about.
Stephen Fairbanks they're* Oh the irony..
Lmao
What's that suposed to mean?
This is incredibly impressive! Keep it up! :D
Greg, you are incredible. You have an amazing level artistry in the candy making, doing it the best old fashioned way. Also your videos are incredible. Keep it up man. I can't wait to visit you guys in Tallahassee sometime.
You are an artist, what beautiful craftsmanship!
Beautiful candy. I love to watch these videos. Thank you
The phrase "We appreciate u visiting us " wants me to go to tallahassee..grtz from the netherlands
There really is an XKCD comic for everything. :P It's always a pleasure watching you make candy! I can't wait to see it happen in person someday. ^^
My goodness...now that is true and absolute craftsmanship.
Candy making on this level must take a lotta know how.
1. This is an AMAZING video
2. You sound exactly, exactly like somebody else I know, to a degree that is blowing my mind.
So cool :) seriously genius the way you create all these different shapes, logos and styles :) great job!!
First time im actually eating candy while watching a lofty pursuits video. Its nice because I hate craving candy while watching these videos lol
Got your amazing candy a few days ago. Acid drops are great. Hope to order again soon. Greetings from Portugal
I've been following for a while now, and I've gone "wow, that's cool!" more than a few times. But this... this is insane.
An interesting point about your customer's flavor choice is that an iconic COLOR for the Subarus/STI cars is a very unique, vibrant BLUE color. Very cool and well thought-out to do the flavor as sour blueberry, as well. :D
sour blueberry is one of the best flavors. and i'm a fan of the more sour flavors in general
A great insight as to how you go about creating a complex design. Loved the video. :D
Extremely talented. Definitely calling in when I'm in the area.
yeah this is the best channel on the internet
I love the background music in all of your videos👍
Thank you.
I don't know why but your voice is so soothing
As a #SubaruAmbassador I have to say Thank You for posting this video! You're always awesome as well as informative!
This is so cool! I’ve seen so many of your videos idk how this one slipped by me!
So this was made with some of the best tasting colors. Its gonna be good!
Your voice is so therapeutic!!
you're a talented and beautiful man Greg. Mouth is watering at the thought of those sour sweets (candy just isn't in my language). Thanks for doing what you do.
