We have tropical storm #Beryl heading towards the Windward Islands while we watch another system slowly organize to the east which could become a hurricane as well and move through the eastern Caribbean.

Pray for the Caribbean Islands 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
I'm really surprised it's a major hurricane already. But then again.. I'm already predicting the season to be pretty crazy. Thank you for all your hard work and dedication.
I feel terrible and is praying for those in the Windward Islands getting ready for the one-two punch they're expecting from likely major hurricane beryl and another hurricane from invest 96L that will be named Chris or Debby depending on invest 94L. I hope they're heeding the warnings and taking them seriously and they really should think about fleeing the islands given the potential for widespread destruction and loss of life. Though, none of us know what's happening down there. No fun and joke for those who think that everyone should relax as we're seeing this in front of our own eyes meaning it's real. I say that to spread the word to people who I believe everything is fine including one who replied to me yesterday saying "Absurd, it's June, relax", and now we know is obviously never that time right now. PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP ON TIHS!!!!!!
Most areas should be OK. Since Beryl is small in structure only a limited area should see intense winds. Also since the storm is moving fast there should not be too much flooding.
I believe from Dominica to Trinidad & Tobago really should be watching this one closely.
I think the GFS has secretly undergone some rehab work to it, it did a supreme job forecasting 90l one month in advance and now A great job with Beryl, This model blows anything away, shall we go three for three
Florduh here, we are waking up now. Thanx! Been a followere for yrs.
Thanks Mark for everything you do
Please pray for Haiti !!!! 5:35
Mark, you’re the best!
Thanks Mark, drive safely 😊
Watching from Barbados 0:31 🇧🇧
Me, too
Thank you for all your insights! Always get excited for these
Watching from Jamaica
Outstanding review, thank you.
What is remarkable is highly active MDR region is more like the end of August than what would occur at the end of June.
The fact our second storm of the season is a potential major hurricane hitting the antillies in late june/early july that formed this far east is maddening. And there being ANOTHER potential system behind it? Shades of 2005 for sure.
What’s scary about Beryl is that likely won’t cause much upwelling since it’s moving rapidly at 23 mph. That means Chris won’t likely be affected by lower ssts if it forms under upper level atmospheric conditions.
I remember Andrew (1992), and Charley (2004). Those storms were both wound up like a meteorological cinnamon roll but were anything but sweet when they made landfall.
Now, my knowledge about steering mechanisms isn't that great. But that massive H pressure that's east of Bermuda, seems to be getting pushed to the east. Wouldn't that steer the storm (or storms) into the gulf, then eventually over the Appalachian mountains, and out to the northern Atlantic? I understand that it's way out there to be guessing. But there is also a L pressure system that is showing up over the northern plains around that time when it gets towards the gulf. That would also influence the storms tracks, should it not? Thanks for the great work you guys do. I love learning about weather.
You are correct. There's a cold front moving through that could either push or stall Beryl once it reaches the gulf depending on the strength. Unfortunately, that TUTT, or Tropical Upper Tropospheric Trough, will not be present to weaken the 2nd wave behind Beryl. So this one will most likely go northeast if it does reach the gulf, but also may not weaken.
@@Agoodpro Thanks for the reply.

Considering how early this is, 2 hurricanes (some models even say the 2nd one could be a major ad well) well before July 10th! This is just a warning of things to come!
@marksuddath this is unprecedented as I am seeing for the first time in a long time not 1 but four hurricane hunters aircraft are hosted in the St Croix area 2/4 have landed already
thanks for updates. I do think Beryl and potential Chris will head to yucatan ...
GFS shows Chris will take a more northerly path than Beryl
I think something unknown has changed out there in the atmosphere, water or whatever lately and everybody is scrambling to understand
Tobago is on tropical storm watch rn but not Trinidad
double MDR hurricane (with potential for a MH) before July is astounding. I'd keep an eye out for even stronger RI than expected, as it often happens that forecast models still can't accurately predict RI.
yes please have Levi on your program.
He does his own videos on his channel
@MikeX3000 Robbie is saying that I should try to get Levi on for a chat about models.
Watching from Yucatán 🇲🇽
Watching from Cayo, Belize.
Hey mark you should talk about the ocean heat content because there’s a huge amount of it
It happened in 1933😮😮
And still nothing in the East pac
I think we will get to the name olivia there
Florida will get hit by a hurricane this year. Mark my words.
SO this guy has NO Degree in Metrology, rather Geography like my old Geography Teacher in High School.
It appears he rides the Coattails of others such as NHC National Hurricane Center which is located in Miami Florida...hmmmm.
Does anyone have a video of him ON LOCATION on an ISLAND being HIT by a CAT # Hurricane ? or is he comfortably located far from Danger....
He goes to the danger
Mark has been through many many hurricanes I’d do some research before you comment
This is great! Yeah, so geographers also study weather and climate and yes, I’ve documented, studied and captured data in over 30 tropical storms or hurricanes in my career. If you really were interested in who I am, you’d see my playlists of documentaries and other examples of my work. Let me know if you have further questions.
I live on "an ISLAND" and "this guy" was here "ON LOCATION" for 2014's Gonzalo on behalf of The Weather Channel. In less time than it took you to post your comment, you could have googled Mark Sudduth and found such footage.
I'm praying that it does not go anywhery near Belize for they have been hit with a lot of storms and rain lately....
