Great. My old version of Powerpoint does not have the word Export. If I go to print I get handouts as an option. I presume that this is what I should use. Am I right?
Thx for the tip. When I go to 'file' on my PP, it does not give me the option to ' export'. Do you have any idea why not and how I can fix this? I have a PowerPoint that I want to convert to either word or a pdf document or a jpeg- anything so that I can email my students a copy. However, with no 'export' option in my 'file' menu, this seems impossible. if you have any advice, I will highly appreciate it.
Great video and presentation. And I have a question. When I convert the PPT to Word the layout of the Word document looks like thumbnail pictures. So how do I make the Word file look like the PPT. Thanks so much.
Hi Michael! Thanks for the comment and question. I would recommend changing the layout of your document from Portrait to Landscape (support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/change-page-orientation-to-landscape-or-portrait-9b5ac1af-9998-4a37-962b-a82b689572a9) - then making the images larger (support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/change-the-size-of-a-picture-shape-text-box-or-wordart-98929cf6-8eab-4d20-87e9-95f2d33c1dde) I hope this is helpful!
I think that currently, Power Point does not allow creating tutor booklets or inserting Power Point files directly into Word. In the end, if people want to create Power Point slides they are going to have to do it specifically using their own Power Point and nowhere else. So you could technically make a Power Point slideshow, but I have no idea if you can import that into Word. If I try Word is not able to read the file.
This DOES NOT tell you how to convert PPT to Word - it only allows you to create handouts - text from the slides remains in a picture format.
Thank you so much. Your video was short and straight to the point. Much appreciated.
WOWZAS! thanks a bunch. Fast and to the point.

Hi Geoff. Yes, this process should work on any presentation you open in PowerPoint.
