Thank you for filming. It is not easy in such conditions. Thanks to you I know what my son is coming through now climbing on the same path.

@@superczech6714 The year I have written that he did not get to the top. He made the successful attempt year after - last year. The decent was extremely difficult due to heavy snow fall and high risk of avalanches. Thank you for asking 🙂

Great Film Will and congrats for the summit.
I would have a few questions for you as I am considering to try the same route next summer. Did you have a local company organising the base camp for you (food, base camp tent...) or did you do everything by yourself?
What tent did you bring for the push? How much time did you spend in total for the trip?
Would you recommend extreme altitude gear in terms of cold?
I know that's a lot of questions but it would be very kinf for you to get me some answers.
Once again Bravo for this amazing climb.
    Laurent

      Thanks very much!
      - We paid a company (Kan Tengri - from memory) to fly us in to the glacier and arrange our in-country travel. We paid for a small package so weren't entitled to food or a tent (we brought those ourselves), but if you pay full package you can get those added in.
      - I brought a Mountain Hardwear Trango 2 for the push. I've stopped using this for summit pushes now though because I feel it is too light and use a Black Diamond First Light instead, but that offers much less protection.
      - We spent a month on the glacier from memory. However, we spent the last 10 days off scouting out and climbing an unclimbed peak (see my other video on my channel).
      - Most important thing are good boots - must be double boots. I wouldn't go for anything less warm than Spantiks - a lot of people use 8000m boots. The mountain despite only being just over 7000m is much colder than other 7000ers because it is so far north. I had a good pair of Mitts, Marmot Greenland Jacket, primaloft insulating trousers etc. The weather is terrible - we had lots of bad weather days on our summit push. We spent 8 days on the mountain on our push - much longer than we expected!
      Thanks,
      Will
