Le Concorde! It did Paris - New York within 3.5 hours for around 10k. It stop forever in 2000 after a crash. Its funny to think that when this puzzle was released, it was still in service. Congrats btw 🎉
Congratulations on your milestone! I think the lady with the lamp might be Florence Nightingale - also a pioneering nurse (very similar era, it seems), because she was known as 'the lady with the lamp'! I agree with others that the plane is Concorde - very distinctive shape. They were built near where I grew up, so quite iconic of the area (there's now a museum on the site).
What a lovely puzzle. I’ve never heard a penny farthing called that before. Congratulations on 2K. I found your channel through DonnaLouise yesterday..
Wellllll Hello!!!!!!!!!!!! so nice to see you, yes that was the perfect puzzle. Congratulations on 2000 subscribers... I look forward to spending 2024 with you!! Happy puzzling....
I'd called that Victorian bicycle a Penny Farthing (after the coins in the UK that had the same size ratio) Never heard it called a Velociipede before! Also think that the Nurse is Florence Nightingale and the jet is certainly Concorde
Congrats!! So well deserved!! I liked the word “dropout” which you used to describe the cut out sections. Such a cool puzzle! Thanks for joining in the next #BOTYP fun!! 💜🧩
Congratulations on 2000 subscribers. I found your channel thanks to you joining the next BOTYP as a guest puzzler. I watched some videos and like the content. As for your airplane... I'd agree... the Concorde... but I was hoping it might be the Avro Arrow... (wishful thinking from a Canadian)
You're back! You've been missed. This is a nearly perfect puzzle to celebrate 2k subscribers. I wonder if the the jet could be the Concorde? Oh, I see others have had the same thought. 😊 Happy new year!
The Titanic might be in here because that ship was a massive scientiic/technological advancement. It sank because the iceberg was overlooked, not because of a flaw in the ship (as far as I know). Considering this puzzle is from Germany and from a German brand they might've just represented important parts of their own history considering you can only put so much in an image. And you say no people of colour are represented, but do you know everybody who built all these things? I sure as hell don't. It's like that story where Alexander Fleming discovers penicillin. He didn't believe it was viable though, because the molecule is unstable so other people did that work but they didn't like being in the media so Alex ended up with his name on it when he only did the easy part of the work. There's always teams behind scientific advancements either small or massive. I suspect (almost) all leaders were white, but who knows? Lets hope we can change sexism and racism in science and engineering so the actual masterminds can get the respect they deserve.
Cool find for your 2,000 subscribers celebration! Thanks for sharing the details of the puzzle. They do feel a little dated. I also appreciate you mentioning the bias in representation. It is important to keep in mind which perspectives the puzzles we do represent and which ones are missing. I think the jet might be a Concorde. I'm old enough to remember when that was a huge deal. It may have drifted out of the general mainstream consciousness by this point. Anyway, huge congrats on 2,000! I am very excited to continue following your puzzling adventures in the new year!
So cool! 👍🏻🧩
Congrats, Dan! 🎉

The jet is Concorde. It was a supersonic passenger plane from France and the UK
@suebrooks447 You are correct. Its first flight was in March 1969 and it was retired officially in 2003. It was extremely expensive to operate.
Yes and because of two severe accidents. One happend in Paris. The Plane hasn't barely taken of when it explode.
Is this the jet Saudi Arabia wants to bring back into production?

Is that puzzle Y2K compliant? Congrats on 2,000 subscribers!
Concord, was the fastest plane apparently, but didn't have a good safety record so got pulled
Congrats on 2000!! Awesome jigsaw to celebrate with. I have a Ravensburger 1999 re-release of one of FX Schmid's shaped butterfly designs.
Yep, that's Concorde
Started earkuer this year? That was a quick 2,000.

Love this puzzle - and your channel! Not sure but maybe that jet is the Concorde?

I think they added the Titanic because it was dubbed the unsinkable ocean liner when built, but we know what became of that hubris.
Concorde??
