Thank you Diane - yes I remember making one, it was binka on the outside with cross stitching on it and felt "pages" inside. I remember making a gingham apron and matching elasticated cuffs for school cookery lessons too :)

Ooh I love this Annie! I had Inktense pencils on my Christmas list and am enjoying getting to know them! I will definitely try the little motifs, I have an ongoing project in mind . . . 😊

Ah they're one of my favourite supplies Nikki, I love the blocks and palettes they do as well, but the pencils are so easy and versatile and I love that you can just replace the ones you use a lot, you don't have to buy the whole set - although of course I did buy the whole set!! :) Hope you'll be able to join us for the live and make some little motifs along with me, I'm going to sketch a few ideas out ready this evening, so I don't have to think too hard during the live!

Looking good. I am just on with my first slow stitch square and really enjoying it. I've been thinking about using inktense with my slow stitching, aloe Vera is a great tip, thanks.

Thanks Anne-Marie, I'm so glad I discovered the whole slow-stitching "thing". I'd kinda been doing it anyway since I was a kid, but didn't know it had a name and a whole wonderful community built up around it. There are a few tutorials on YT using inktense with fabric, different approaches, this was the most straightforward method for me. Sometimes it's nice to just use water and let the colour spread but if you want control, the aloe vera definitely helps. Have fun - and please share your creations in the Arty Farty Annie Group on Facebook, we'd all love to see what you make :)
