    IGNORE THE GLOBE EARTH SITTING ON THE OCEAN - this is the animator's own speculation!
    An animated tour of the Universe, and what lies beyond, according to the ancient Vedic text "Srimad Bhagavatam". Visit soolaba.wordpre... for more information.
    Once considered only mythology, modern cosmology and "holographic universe" ideas are now approaching the concepts found in ancient Puranic traditions. Credit to Rupanuga Vedic College Publishing and Danavir Goswami (the author/producer) for the bulk of this animation. Splendid visuals and narration describe how the ancient mystics perceive our poly-dimensional Universe, and then the realms that lie beyond it, unrestricted by time and space.
    FLAT-EARTHERS ..... The Earth-Globe shown in this video is not at all the way the Earth is described in the Puranas, but only in the Jyotisha Shastras, where it replaces Meru in the model. Read my blog for further information: soolaba.wordpr...

      +joey143anna When I was 19 I was an atheist. However, through meditation and pranayama, I beheld a vision of Moksha (Eternity). Because of that realization, I met several Masters, who blessed me with a vision of the Supreme Being. Now I am no longer an atheist, and have had many life experiences confirmed by Hindu (particularly Vaisnava) scriptures like Bhagavad Gita & Bhagvata Purana. Enjoy the journey!

      +joey143anna To achieve Moksha you don't need to become Hindu. When you go deep in Hinduism. You will figure it out that Hinduism is not a religion but a way of life. So anyone can achieve Moksha no matter which religion they belong to. :)

      Hinduism is a deeply symbolic religion. Those who interpret it literally, under proper guidance, will understand it as speaking of a physical, metaphysical and non-physical reality. With this understanding, one is always satisfied with the superficial and deep meanings of the topic.

    • @m0rt4l4v4t4r
      @m0rt4l4v4t4r 10 лет назад +20

      The Vedas form the basis for Hinduism, and thus, for the religion. Though taking Hinduism literally may not be wise, the Vedas were intended as a symbolic understanding of the extents of all creation, from the incarnations of substance and energy to the basis of creation and intellect to the source of will from which all things spring. In addition, though they may have been handed down to humans that could not fully grasp their meaning, they were designed and handed down by higher beings in a form that could be passed on indefinitely and abstractly understood. Human's naturally look for patterns and relationships, and in so doing, make sense of our reality, and those that compiled the Vedas understood and took advantage of that for our instruction.
      It is never a mistake to look to faith for answers to all questions, including those considered scientific or mathematic in nature, it is only a mistake to believe that your current form can grasp all the answers you receive...

It's a rare attitude these days among scientific folk to be humble enough to accept this, instead of believing that anything that doesn't make sense to our "supreme" intellect and "supreme" sensory capacity is bullshit.

    India is the home of an immense diversity of religion and philosophy. It has been quite obvious from recent posts that many followers of Vedic [Vaidik] tradition do not accept Puranic literature. However, followers of the Itihasas and Puranas (The Fifth Veda) themselves find evidence in the original four Vedas to support their point of view, as Playitalready has clearly described in yesterday's comment. The fact that this video presentation will always receive cricitism from different schools of thought will never really bother me, nor other followers of the Srimad Bhagavatam. Polite and rational discussions are always encouraged here on my channel. Aum Shanti.

    It was beautiful... ...Watching this video my heart soared, found it's peace and place, and my mind opened up, and I recognized the deep, deep truth that is being conveyed here, beyond the pictures and words. .......All the 'scientific logic' behind it, can be argued and debated, agreeing and dis-agreeing, but in the end... that is not what matters (to me). What is depicted and shown in this video is the sheer beauty, life, magnificence and wonderfulness of creation / the cosmos we live in, and most of all it shows, the living consciousness of which we are ourselves a part, behind it all.
    Many thanks again. I felt myself moved and swept away to unimaginable realms and possibilities while watching this..... Life / Consciousness, put back into it's rightful place in the cosmos everywhere and in everything... Peace to you.

    • @lukasdohnal1229

      That depends, I think. First of all, there is unfortunately more than one way to interpret the Vedas. And it's not like we can go and ask the author how he actually meant what. .. Other than that, I should point out that there is at least one interpretation of Vedas which is in conflict with what modern science already knows, namely the age of Earth. Age of Earth, as interpreted from the Vedas by the Hare Krishna movement (ISKCON), is much greater than what it actually is according to modern science, which has fairly reliable tools for determining it.

    • @soolaba
      @soolaba  8 лет назад +4

      Fairly reliable????? Modern Cosmologists are lost, there are many articles on this eg: www.scientificexploration.org/forum/those-ad-hoc-cosmological-epicycles ....... phys.org/news/2016-01-cosmology-crisis.html ....... www.cellularuniverse.org/MysteriesParadoxes.htm ....... etc,etc,etc

    • @lukasdohnal1229
      @lukasdohnal1229 8 лет назад +1

      Why so many question marks? Does that perhaps signify that you are annoyed, because I have touched credibility of the basis of your cherished beliefs? Or is there another reason?
      The fact that there are things for which we currently lack explanation does not mean that scientists are "lost". This is how science works. Science doesn't have all the answers right from the start. Science explores the universe and gradually gets the answers, as it gets evidence. Unlike religion, which thinks that it already has all the answers, and so doesn't bother verifying if they are right... But instead focuses on artifically strengthening and maintaining "faith" (i.e., "blind belief") in what it already knows.
      I was speaking specifically about the age of Earth. There are fairly reliable methods, which have determined the age of Earth in discord with ISKCON interpretations of Vedic astronomy. Age of Earth has been determined by radiometric dating to be roughly 4.56 billion years, based on decay of radioactive Uranium from the fragments of iron meteorite found in Diablo Canyon. Another thing, the age of universe, also obviously conflicts with Vedas and is relevant to the age of Earth. It has been calculated from how long it took the galaxies to reach their current destinations since the start of expansion of the universe (or, the beginning of the universe), based on their current speeds, speed of the expansion of the universe, and relative distance of the galaxies.
      There is plenty of evidence for various things from different sources, as to ensure that one of the sources does not get it wrong and we don't rely on it. This cross-checking helps to ensure that science is on the right track. I would take this approach any day over relying on old books and their interpretations as solid evidence for anything, because old books can be as wrong as any other book, and the scientific books at least work on evidence, instead of supposed reveleation from supposed godly beings that conveniently choose to remain hidden from most people (or at least those who don't a priori believe in them and then convince their subconsciousness further of their existence by chanting Hare Krishna).

    • @soolaba
      @soolaba  7 лет назад +4

      No Lukas, I am not at all annoyed. I'm just pointing out that when it comes to Cosmology, science cannot prove any of their theories with repeatable experiment, which makes Cosmology of all sciences, more like philosophy. There is no conclusive evidence about the method universal creation or the age of the universe, it really is a constantly changing theory. There is current debate whether the red-shift actually means universal expansion, just as multiple sets of data of the background universal radiation indicates that our Earth and our galaxy have an un-explainable alignment in the universe. This is dicussed in the documentary "The Principle (2015)".
      The age of the Earth is more substantial. There is experimental evidence of radio-carbon and uranium dating. In this regard the age of Earth lines up with the Bhagavatam's explanation of Earth's most recent recreation, which happens every day of Brahma. Each day of Brahma last for 4.3 Billion years between partial annihilations.
      You must also realise that I have no personal realisation about the age of the universe or the earth, but the eternal nature of the soul, God and the Vedic Scriptures have been verified by my personal experience. Hope this helps a little.
      When you say that science "Unlike religion, which thinks that it already has all the answers, and so doesn't bother verifying if they are right." I must disagree. The Vedas describe a spiritual science. They claim that if you perform the activities (experiment) according to the science (sadhana) you, or anybody, will undoubtedly receive the same result (realisation, evidence). The Vedic path never encourages blind faith. Every step requires to be verified or realised before proceeding. It has been tested and verified my thousands of practitioners in both ancient times and today. Also refer to my other comments to your previous questions.

    • @lukasdohnal1229
      @lukasdohnal1229 7 лет назад +1

      I have to disagree. As I mentioned before, according to ISKCON, a part of appropriate mantra sadhana (using the mahamantra) is to have an a priori belief that Krishna exists and that the mantra has the power that it supposedly has. This a priori belief is required to gain the promised results. As such, it is vastly different from science. In science, gaining evidence does not require an a priori belief that the evidence will point to a certain result.
      EDIT: In other words, in science, the person undertaking the exploration follows the evidence, wherever it leads him. In ISCKON practice, not only the goal where the evidence is supposed to lead you is stated prior to gaining the evidence, but furthermore, you are required to believe in the truthfulness of the mentioned goal in order to gain the evidence supporting it. That, in my eyes, prevents objective recognition of what the truth really is, and as such, is an utterly ridiculous scientific method.

    Hindu does not appear in any Vedic Scripture. The point is life comes from life. No chemical cluster has ever gone from inanimate to animate. A frog in a well thinks that is the all, By crying out the names of God one may have realization of the inconceivable truth.

      As an interesting fact, there is no word for "religion" in Sanskrit and Hindi. For this "Dharma" is used to refer "religion". And now it has become common to use "dharma" for "religion". As there was no other religion at that time. However Dharma has very different and extensive meaning.

    Lord Shiva is not a demigod. He is one of the Holy Trinity . Also known as the Destroyer or The Transformer.

    • @soolaba
      @soolaba  8 лет назад +25

      +Manthan Naik Yes, you are correct, the tattva, or truth, of Lord Shiva is unique. The simplest understanding is this: there are only 3 types of beings. 1) Visnu-Laksmi tattva 2) Shiva-Shakti tattva 3) Jiva tattva. Let me explain. 1) The Supreme being is all-powerful, all-knowing, present everywhere, all-beautiful, all-loving, and the source of all existence. The Supreme is the original & most perfect male and female, Krishna & Radha. They manifest as the rulers of Vaikuntha: Narayana & Lakshmi, and transcendental Ayodhya, as Rama & Sita. 2) For the purpose of creating the material universes, Narayana & Lakshmi manifest a unique realm between Vaikuntha and the Mahat-tattva (Material Worlds) called Kailash, ruled by the unique forms of Sada-Shiva and Maha-Shakti. 3) Within the Mahat-tattva, Lord Mahavishnu's brilliant glance (Lord Shiva) impregnates Mahamaya with all the Jiva souls and the Time element, so that universal creation can begin. Within each universe are manifested the Holy Trinity of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, who create, maintain and destroy the universe in due course. All The Jiva souls (Jiva-tattva) take their births as Elemental Demigods (Agni, Varuna, Vayu etc) Ruling Demigods (Brahma, Indra, Surya, Chandra, Yamaraja etc) Progenitors of Mankind (Kasyapa, Kardarma, Manu, etc) The great Sages, Angels, Demons, Apsaras, Nature spirits, ghosts, all varieties of animals, plants and microbes. The only personalities within the universe who are not Jiva souls are the Avatars of Lord Vishnu (Matsya, Kurma, Narasimha, etc) and avatars of Lord Shiva (Shiva, Rudra ,Durvasa, Sankara etc). Within each realm of Vaikuntha, Kailash & Jada-Jagat, there exists all three Jiva, Shiva and Vishnu beings, although, by nature, it is only the Jivas who have the capacity to forget their eternal identities under the illusion of Mahamaya. If one worships Lord Shiva as the Supreme being, he attains the eternal realm of Kailash. If one worships Lord Shiva as the supreme worshiper of Lord Vishnu or Lord Krishna, he may attain the higher realms of Vaikuntha and Krishnaloka. Lord Shiva is only called a demigod in the sense that he is not the complete absolute truth. He is always above all other demigods like Brahma, Surya, Indra, Yama, Chandra or Agni.

      Read from Sri Brahma Samhita:
      TEXT 12: The same Mahā-Viṣṇu is spoken of by the name of "Nārāyaṇa" in this mundane world. From that eternal person has sprung the vast expanse of water of the spiritual Causal Ocean. The subjective portion of Saṅkarṣaṇa who abides in paravyoma, the above supreme puruṣa with thousands of subjective portions, reposes in the state of divine sleep [yoga-nidrā] in the waters of the spiritual Causal Ocean.
      TEXT 13: The spiritual seeds of Saṅkarṣaṇa existing in the pores of skin of Mahā-Viṣṇu, are born as so many golden sperms. These sperms are covered with five great elements.
      Here we see that in a portion of the unlimited spiritual sky a cloud forms. This is the Karana Ocean or Causal Ocean where Mahavishnu lies down and dreams. As He dreams many universes emanate from his skin as He breathes. Within each universe the next expansion of Vishnu lies on Ananta and creates Lord Brahma's lotus from His navel.

    This was marvelous! The only aspect I didn't agree is the mention of Shiva as Demi-God. Shiv is one of the three pillars which constitute Brahm (the source): a) Vishnu (the preserver of souls trapped in the illusion), b) Brahma(the creator of the illusion) and c)Shiva, the destroyer of illusion. Shiv is the primal energy, in un-manifested form as well (dark matter). There's also the feminine aspect of Brahm called Kali, Durga, Bhavtarini. She destroys the negative densities in the multiverse to maintain the tilt of good (Service to Others) sentience over sinister (Service to Self) sentience. All this if you believe in the Vedic interpretation of Astronomy, a unique aspect of the Vedic astronomy is that it marries astronomy with human deeds, thus combining all that we perceive and experience.

The seven dweepas of the Puranas are stated as Jambudvipa, Plaksadvipa, Salmalidvipa, Kusadvipa, Krouncadvipa, Sakadvipa, and Pushkaradvipa. Seven intermediate oceans consist of salt-water, sugarcane juice, wine, ghee, yogurt, milk and water respectively. On planet earth we see salt-water ocean. But not the other mentioned oceans. Dear GOD Can Be Seen, I am replying to your question here because no relpy option was available on your last comment regarding "Vedic Tour of the Universe". In the study of Veda and Purana, different sampradayas (guru-lineages) give different siddhanta or conclusions. Many schools conclude that Brahm is both origin and supreme. Others conclude that Narayana, Shiva or Krishna are supreme origin and refuge. Debate on this topic is lengthy and detailed, so unfortunately I don't have the time to answer all the questions asked on your link. However, in my tradition, a very short and ancient text Sri-Brahma-Samhita, re-discovered by the Vaisnava Saint Shri Caitanya in the 16th century, explains very clearly how and why Bhagavan Sri Krishan is the supreme goal and origin, for example, shloka one: " īśvaraḥ paramaḥ kṛṣṇaḥ sac-cid-ānanda-vigrahaḥ anādir ādir govindaḥ sarva-kāraṇa-kāraṇam ....... Kṛṣṇa who is known as Govinda, is the Supreme Godhead. He has an eternal blissful spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin and He is the prime cause of all causes " There are many interpretations of Bhagavad Gita, and great thinkers can provide any number of conclusions using any number of Veda, Upanishad or Puran shloka to support their view. My Gaudiya tradition teaches that Sri Krishna is simultanoeusly omnipresent, formless, having unlimited forms, and at the same time, resides in eternal Golka with a supremely beautiful form. Goloka is said to be the original form of Brahm, beyond Vaikuntha, beyond Brahmjoyti, beyond Kaal (time), beyond Brahmandas (universes) and beyond Satyaloka (heaven). Krishna is described as the sourse of Vaikuntha, Narayana, Sadashiva, Brahman, Brahmajoyti, Kaal, Mahavishnu, Mahadevi, 3 Gunas, elemental universal Devatas, and the Vishnu, Brahma, Shiva, Demigods, Manu and Humans of this universe, yet he appears to take birth in a human-like form. This utterly confuses the great Rishis, Lord Shiva, Lord Brahma and the living entities in general. Such is the inconceivable nature of Sri Krishna that we are taught in the Gaudiya Vaisnava tradition. vedabase.net/bs/5/1/en

      "Kṛṣṇa who is known as Govinda is the Supreme Godhead. He has an eternal blissful spiritual body. He is the origin of all. He has no other origin and He is the prime cause of all causes."
      From this text, Gaudiya Vaisnavas understand that Mahavishnu is only an expansion of a portion of Sri Krishna. Sri Krishna is not an avatar of Sri Visnu, Sri Visnu is an avatar of Sri Krsna! On behalf of Bhagavan Sri Krishna, Mahavishnu makes millions of universes.

Mahavishnu makes Sense but his ultimate consciousness in human form may be Krishna and for some Buddha and for some Moses and for some Muhammad. So peace. I guess we should not deify the avatari messengers but rather aspire to be like them. Namasté Salaam... it's just a question of what you Truly want to believe in. What does resonate most with you as truth? From the heart i have strong feelings about islam on a deeper level it's the truth for me. just wikipedia "pole star" to answer this question. "Stationary Earth" refers to the fact that motion between all heavenly bodies is relative, there is no proof that either the sun or the earth are stationary, even my high school teacher told me that. To support the atheistic theory of "the big bang", schools around the world choose to teach the sun centred perspective as the only plausible model. As I've tried to explain to others, every scientific observation also has a super-natural dimension

    One major clarification, before the movement of 7 island or continent. They were relatively one flat land with meru at the center surrounded by ocean. After the tectonic movements it's not the same.

    • @soolaba
      @soolaba  Год назад +1

      Techtonic movements are theorized by modern science. The Puranas also have similar statements of a 'one earth continent' and the splitting of continents due to the sons of Sagara and the descent of the Holy Ganga to re-fill our oceans! Please remember that the Vedas describe the 7 heavenly concentric continents are beyond the conception capacity of humans bound up in Bharatavarsa or 'the known Earth'.

      I have been trying to express in these videos that that the world or Bhuloka is a flat plane, a cosmic disc, but the illusory potency (Maya-shakti) and inconceivable potency (Acintya-shakti) of the creators Vishnu and Brahma give conditioned humans in karma-ksetra (this world of action and reaction) the belief that the Earth is a sphere in space surrounded by stars!
      The Puranic size of the sun, the Jyotish size of the sun, the scientific size of the sun, and the Flat-Earth Society size of the sun, are all different!

  • @kakudmi

    Kind of confusing...mixing flat plane and spherical Earth....those two things don't mix.
    Also, how do we know the Earth is a ball?
    NASA's images and CGI?
    If you actually measure the curvature, and yes, you can do it on your own, you will find out it is not there.
    There is no curve. The Earth is a mandala, flat disc. Well, not flat like a CD, but flat like a plain, with topography and all that.
    But measure water, it is flat.
    Flat and stationery.
    Loka means location, place of residence.
    Planet means wandering star, or just wandering body.
    Earth is not a planet, nor it is a globe.

    • @soolaba
      @soolaba  5 лет назад +1

      Just ignore the globe Earth in this video. I wish I had edited it out of the compilation. The Earth is flat, has no curve and is stationary, yet it has some mathematical features similar to a sphere to enable the Bharata-varsa loka to act as a closed karmic system. The circumference of our earth globe around the equator is 40,075 km and the Earth"s diameter is 12,742 km.

      Beyond both the manifest and unmanifest reality resides Vaikuntha - the eternal manifest heaven of Narayana. In the centre of Vaikuntha is the sacred realm of Goloka, wherein dwells the original God of Gods, the Supreme Narayana, the ever-youthful and playful Divine Couple - Sri Sri Radha-Govinda. There, every single gopi is more powerful and more beautiful than thousands of Laksmi's, Durga's, and heavenly Apasaras. (from Bhagavat Purana, Brahma-Samhita and Garga-Samhita).
      Below Vaikuntha is the first formless circle of God - this is the English translation of the Hindi comment above:
      The first formless circle of God -
      = The basic system of creation is.
      Vowels are the origin of Shakti Shakti or Parabrahma.
      . . . .... . . . . . . . . .
      The second formless circle of God - Adishakti / Parabrahma
      = Say Adashakti or Parabrahma, meaning only one.
      . . . . . . . . . .
      God's third formless cycle - male nature and auspiciousness
      = Divination is divided into men and nature.
      The creation of creation can not be done without auspiciousness, the prevalence of auspiciousness.
      . . . . . . . . . . . .
      The fourth formless God of God - Trishaktiya of man and nature,
      = In the formless form of man, Shiva, Shriharri, began to conduct the creation in the form of Brahma,
      Mahasaraswati, Mahalakshmi, Mahakali, is formless, in the form of formless form for the operation of nature's creation.
      All these powers are same, all are different forms of Par Brahma, only the workspace is different.
      . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
      God's fifth realization cycle
      = Shiva took the realization in Shankar form.
      In the form of Lord Vishnu, Lord Brahma as Brahmaji
      So Mahasaraswati in the form of Saraswati, Mahalaxmi in Lakshmi form
      Mahakali in Parvati form Shubhata was born in Ganapati form.
      Mahasaraswati, Mahakali, Mahalakshmi, the inherent realization of the form is in the form of Durga.
      Similarly, the elements of the origin of the origin of all the divine powers Indra, Varuna, Pavan, Agni, etc are hidden.
      Formless powers are free from human bondage.
      But the energized powers in the form of realization have to follow the values of God as well as human values.
      And these human values are also the beginning of creation.
      . . . . . . . . .
      The ignorant people compare themselves with Shiva, Vishnu, Brahma, Durga etc.,
      Do not do that, all powers are equal.
      Nobody is superior, all are equal.

      I agree Arborele I laughed when I saw the globe FLOATING on the water!!! Ridiculous. Shame because the rest is good, that should be a flat island (dvipa) surrounded by antarctic ice which extends to where nobody seems to know. It's trying to reconcile the Vedic and modern globe but no globe earth exists in the Vedic descriptions so it's going to look ridiculous to both camps either it's part of the flat bhu-mandala or a globe in space (which it's not) but a globe floating on water oh dear...... hopefully this will be rectified at some point before anyone builds a temple based on it!

    Time on Brahma lokha is similar to ours. 12 hours day 12 hours night, 60 minutes 60 seconds. One difference is that a second on Brahma Loka is a lakh of Earth years. 100,000 years. A pendulum with one second oscillation would resemble a pendulum here on Earth. except the length would be proportional to the duration of similar one second oscillation. So the measurements need to be adjusted to take account. 365 x 24 x 60 x 60 x 100,000 = 3,153,600,000,000, seconds, Different measurements.

      +Sagar Kharal Yes, Vedas are accurate, Puranas, Upanishads and epics of Veda-Vyasa are also accurate, not mythology. However, there is so much Vedic literature, that without realized Guru as a guide, one becomes lost in the jungle of texts, each describing Para-Brahman from different perspectives. This presentation is not supported by modern science, which is atheistic and continuously creating theories to explain creation. It is also a fact that modern scientists are beginning to incorporate some Vedic ideas in their model of reality. One should also understand that the Bhagavata Purana, the basis of this video presentation, contains accurate distances of planetary orbits of all planets including Neptune and Uranus, but describes them as cosmic islands or dvipas of the celestial Bhumandala plane. In this way, modern astronomy confirms some of the mathematics of Srimad Bhagavatam Cosmology, written down about 5,000 years ago.

    Whiteguy, thx for your comments and sarcasm. The Vedic cosmic model simultaneously represents several concepts of reality. The Vedic model represents 1) the world globe centred on the Indian subcontinent, 2) the Solar System, 3) the Galaxy 4) The Universe, and 5) Higher dimensional meta-physical systems of planets (loka's). Scientists of this decade are moving toward such poly-dimensional models of the universe, and the astronomical equations used 5,000 years ago in India are still accurate. :)
