Hey Nicollete, you mentioned that you do need to be married/ cohabiting. Do they calculate both partners incomes if married out of community or if cohabiting? Or do they only consider the salary of the partner that is applying?
You and your partners' combined salary must be between R3 501 to R22 000 per month.

Yes, they look at your credit score which is made up of various factors including the types of credit lines you have

What happens if you applied prior the whole process of the home loan then it gets approved and you get the title deed before FLISP approve, would you still be eligible to get it?
FLISP do pay out either before the transfer is completed or after the transfer (title deeds received). I received pay out, after I got the title deed.
So what happens when they don’t approve you for FLISP? You’d still be responsible for the bond right? You’d have to honour it even without the assistance?

yes government employees do qualify, my niece is a nurse working for a government hospital and she qualified for FLISP.
