I don't really care anymore about what other people think of disney star wars, there will always be good things and bad things about it. And that's just how studios and streaming works. Everyone hates the Kenobi show and I loved it, for example. I might not be the biggest fan of the new trilogy, but I love the Mandoverse, I love the animated Filoni projects too. My favorites are still the prequels and clone wars but I watch everything. i wish more people would b excited about this one because it's really different from the other projects, I love seeing different types of Jedi throughout different time periods.
My grandma likes cheap wine. Always has a box chilled. I detect the chemical finish but... there's no accounting for taste. When I bring the good stuff for easter she drinks that too and loves it. I feel the same about fiction. If it was ''better'' more would enjoy it. I just wish Star Wars came with a pricing scale.
About Lord Yord, that' s actually something i was speculating about. In this era (apparently) Jedi are not supposed to draw they lightsabre unless they're going to kill, and he's constantly doing it. The scene that triggered the idea to me was when Sol goes with the padawan's idea instead of his.
The showrunner said that the order is a lot similar to The Clone Wars as it follows the Master, Apprentice, and Acolyte. For instance Sidious, Dooku, and Ventress. Right now a lot of people are guessing Qimir as the apprentice.
20:34 Unfortunately, that would work since Dark Side Force users take on new names when they become Lords of the Sith. I like what we're getting here. With this being set 100 years before the Rise of the Empire, one has to wonder if we might get a season 2. Why did they choose exactly 100 years before? I guess this is a question that should be asked after the series ends, but the text at the beginning set the scene.
Yeah, I'm thinking Force dyad, but I'm trying to figure out what she meant by incorporating a lot of Darth Traya's influence in the show. Traya wanted to destroy the Force because she believed both the Sith and Jedi abused it. This could tie into the Nameless from the High Republic books, though I might be reading too much into it. I feel Mae's partner is definitely the guy in the helmet, but I think he's the apprentice, not the master. We'll have to wait and see. I still don't know what the four Jedi did. I'm enjoying the mystery and can't wait for episode 3 to see what all the fuss is about.
Love the reaction and of course the dad jokes... maybe b/c I'm also in a similar age demographic. I've liked the two episodes so far but have similar issues as you do. I'm also here for the actual story and not judging the show based on others' opinions or trivial political drama surrounding Star Wars and its fandom. With that being said I wondered if there were some shows that were better suited for releasing all episodes at once as opposed to a weekly drop? Dropping the first two episodes did little to serve the actual story (IMO), having all 8 episodes might've kept some fans watching that lack the type of patience required with a story that relies on the "BIG" reveal as its selling point. Dropping all 8 might've also quieted those bummed about Trinity dying in episode numero uno. She's all in the trailers y'all. It's clear from the trailers that we are going to see what happened to the twins, the jedi, and the people in their village. A village that looks like they're all women? Are they witches? One seemed to use some type of power over Jedi Tobin in a flashback. The same woman we see in the trailer talking to one of the twins about good, evil and those that ultimately wield power to determine the difference between the two. I'm here for allllll of that. We see threads of that in the first installment of Tales of the Jedi with Dooku. Someone with the best intentions, turned to (seduced by) the dark side b/c of (from their point of view) the hypocrisy and dogmatic ways of the Jedi Counsel/ Order. Side note, I had no idea that was Tommen from Game of Thrones as floating Jedi Tobin (all grown up). He's also in the trailer sporting a young padawan rat tail. Talk about not aging well, hey Tobin do like the rest us bald guys and just shave it off. Bro, take it from me it'll make you look 10 years younger. Sorry, got sidetracked. Overall, I liked both episodes. Episode one a little better than two. Agree 100%, Lee Jung-jae as Jedi Master Sol is perfect. I have similar issues with the set designs as you do. At times feels a little CW sitcom-ish. Still much better than Obi Wans sets, I swear I saw a guy on that set wearing a Members Only Jacket with the tag from Target still on it. I'm fully invested in the story but just wished that they would've released all 8 episodes.
Rather than face the difficulty of consequences (make restitutions, receive punishment) Jedi are known for taking the easy way out. Either by hiding or now ''self deletion"
44% of votes are 1/10 on IMDb... review bombers are insane. Sure the show might not be good, or you don't like it.. but rarely is a show ever truly a 1/10. They probably justify that by saying they're just pushing the overall rating down to a 4.5/10 lmao
Star Wars gets graded on a pretty aggressive scale by the fandom. So while a mediocre or even decent show from a franchise no one likes gets 4-5 ; mediocre SW gets a 1-2 , and a bad SW also gets 1- 2s. The curve is all messed up from past achievements.

lord yord 🤣
Lord Smolo
This made me literally lol! 🤣
You like the subtitles. Did you notice the nemoidians don't have the same accent as in the prequels?
The apothecary is the master. Gotta be. Seems like a stoner, but easy stopped Mae attacking him. He's driving this bus.
I wonder if the mysterious event from the past will turn out to be another case of the Rashomon effect...
Mae fighting Torbin (or trying to) reminds me of Deadpool fighting Colossus 🤣
This "Smolo" intro is hiarious. i can see your kids rolling their eyes if this reaction was in the couch with them.

Yeah there's something these jedi did 16 years ago I mean getting a jedi master to kill himself is dark

@stevena.7022 why am I suddenly getting Salem witch trials vibes from this or like the holy crusade

Plus a ton of those were before the show ever aired, obviously biased review bombers.

This show is horrible. George Lucas is rolling in his grave right now.
