This is the best bind-n-fly tiny whoop I've ever seen. I'm sure it will perform like a bandit. We'll see a ton of these at local races in 2024. Why build when you can just buy this and it will probably cost less too.
Happymodel did a great job with this. Hopefully that frame will hold up in crashes. In order to get more performance and flight time, weight has to be shaved off as much as possible so the tank nerds will crap their pants with this one. Haha.
Never heard of that idea. Angrydon pioneered the ultralight whoop approach to my knowledge and it caught on. It took the manufacturers some time to figure out how to pull it off successfully but looks like they’ve got it down now.
You can always get the higher KV motor and use a motor output limit in Betaflight settings to create an artificial lower kv setup so just go for the higher KV motor. Note, you can't go the other way around and get a low KV motor and make it higher. I made a video about how to do this at this link... ruclips.net/video/GAmGwP2A8Xg/видео.html
I know this is not the betafpv light canopy but I hope that this canopy holds up better. Myself and a few others ran through those canopies so quickly and it kept breaking on the same spot
I love the mobula line, I’ve got the mobula 8 and 7 and I must say they are great! And extremely fast! They are perfect for indoor flying/racing and outdoors as they are very stable
Great preview. Really like the 5-in1AIO FC. It's nice to see FC designs evolving again, after a few years of pause. It's great that Happymodel got the 2024 Mobula6 out to reviewers prior, so to give lots of time to test and collect feedback. FYI: Lunar New Year runs until Feb 17, so expect nothing for next 7-10 days, and even then a lag as they work through a backlog of stuff.
That AIO is going to sell out like candy if it is reliable. A 5-in-1 with serial ELRS?!!!! I will personally snatch a few for my whoops when they release it.
Only thing that bugs me is that ghetto direct soldered monopole. I'd kinda rather have the ceramic tower antenna or a connector. But for indoors short range I guess it makes sense.
@marblekitfpv 23k kv is a solid choice for lightweight whoops under 18g. Pairs well with 270mah bt2.0 batteries for racing when you really only need 2 minutes or less. I'm personally running 24500kv with a 95% scaled throttle cap, but will most likely graduate to 26000kv soon.
How did i not know you had a 2nd channel i have been a sup of yours for years i remember buying a 3s whoop type drone from ya the full speed tiny leader its been awahile
I'd love to see a teardown video after you're flown it a bit. I'd like to know what each of the new components weighs. I'm excited about the new FC and camera.
Smartaudio is not actually audio. Smartaudio is the communication between the VTX and flight controller. It lets the FC change settings on the VTX. Its a confusing name but Smartaudio is nothing to do with audio. To get audio in your recordings, you need to have a VTX with a mic. If your VTX has a mic and your goggles are capable of audio, it will work automatically.
Hi Albert, Can you please tell us in the full review if their tune has been updated? That softer frame will likely increase the noise and they would (I guess) need to add filtering.
Really looking forward to this. Especially the AIO. Hopefully the camera is good. Is the camera mounting the same as the Runcam Nano 3, used in the last gen?
Direct solder of the motors - that should make this little guy a true ripper. HM does make some really good stuff. Hope they do the same motor connections with the Mob8. . .
Nice. My whoop just kicked the bucket, it's now a wall hanger. I'm making a list of components for a new build. But if the reviews are good and prices are reasonable, may opt to buy one. Do you think that flight controller would fit in the Meteor65 pro frame? Thinking of going with the 35mm props, especially if I decide to go HDZero. Looking forward to seeing your review video. 👍😎

Very nice, thanks for the preview. Looks very lite, can't wait for the flight vids and full review on your main channel.
People will shave off even more weight from this one. Would not be surprised to see this go under 16g after mods.
I declare the tank era of tiny whoops to be over! Long live ultralight whoops!
Now let's get rid of all tank quads!

why tank nerds want tiny whoops that weigh 40g and can only fly for 30 seconds makes no sense to me!
because you don't actually listen and most of us want an 18g that won't break after 2 crashes. @@frankcastillo8869
Wait, why didn't they send you the hdzero version?
cuz people here hate hdxero!
Awesome, can't wait for the review!
I thought whoops were supposed to be a lot heavier to fly well? Why is this idea passed around so much online?
Never heard of that idea. Angrydon pioneered the ultralight whoop approach to my knowledge and it caught on. It took the manufacturers some time to figure out how to pull it off successfully but looks like they’ve got it down now.
I can tell this one will be the fastest and best performing whoop anyone can buy. Builders go home!
Nice whoop ... greeting from indonesia
This what i wanted to build except the betafpv pro frame with 35mm props. I prob could buy this just switch the frame 🤔
Should be possible but not sure how the 0702 motors will react to the larger 35mm prop.
Would you say for a beginner that sub 23000Kv is optimal?. Or should i follow suit to the racers with it above

@@marblekitfpv great info ty. Subbed
Im gonna buy this just for the camera and aio. Looks insanely good so far and I hope they fix the qc issues the other fcs had
maybe it's not common, but if you need to replace a motor is it game over? (ie, you need to do surgical micro soldering).
The soldering isn't that bad unless you've never soldered before.

Interesting Mobila6. Hope that fame can stand up. Nice review Albert. I be watching for the full review on your main channel.
Looks good. I wonder how good the camera is. Frame looks like it could hold up well.

Love my Mobula8, but it's too much for indoors so I've been eyeballing a 6 for a while. If it's anything like my 8 it's perfect for me.

Winter whoop season is a little late this year! I'm really hoping for a new 75mm hdzero whoop.
Way better than the tinyhawk i started with mamy years ago lol
Might be able to shed some grams with the HQ ultra light props.
Might only be 1g at the most.
I did see a lot of pilots at Whooptopia using 30k kv or higher, but Tdog uses 27k kv motors, so I'd say anything over that is unnecessary.
Honestly, even 23000kv is fast enough for me. It's nice that higher kv options are available for those pilots that feel they need it.

Pretty sure all the parts will be listed on product pages with weights documented.
who can explain me, ehat is smartaudio for? once drone is armed camera records terrible sounds. how to use it on drones?

@@xBarnabyJonesx surprised 😯 thnx
@@xBarnabyJonesx I've always been annoyed by how they name it that and it's never explained very well in config GUI's.
Can't wait to see how this holds in the full review, really excited to pick one of these up.
Curious how light n lighter can u make it
Very cool! Spare canopy is a nice addition.
Hi Albert,

The side soldering on the aio is a good news! So much easier and solid ;)
Really looking forward to this. Especially the AIO. Hopefully the camera is good. Is the camera mounting the same as the Runcam Nano 3, used in the last gen?
I don't know the exact measurements for the nano 3 compared to this camera but I'm pretty sure the camera sticks out a lot less.
@@marblekitfpv It would be cool if it fit in the old canopy, too. Those things are indestructible.
Glad to see that Happy model is responding to consumer preference. Fingers crossed that the camera is improved.
Looks like fun! 😎👍

I would think it should fit. Especially with the curved sides.
Agreed.
It's looking awesome indeed, Albert! 😃
Looking forward to the review!
