@@alukuhito Some stepmoms don't consider themselves a parental figure, especially if the child's mom is present; i think most mothers would even hate it if the stepmother began to behave this way. It would be great if the stepparent remembered the birthday, but it isn't comparable when the parents do not know.

I’d rather be loved unconditionally by someone who can’t remember by birth date when put on the spot, than someone that hates me and remembers everything all the time.

@@CT-vm4gf You don’t know them and you can’t tell from the video whether their love is unconditional. Many people can simultaneously be the resentful parent and the one who don't remember their child's birthday.

These poor kids, they had no idea their fathers were so very disinterested in them. I remember when I learned my dad could not care less about me, I was 12. It would have been nice to have witnesses, and recorded proof.

What is worse is that these dads don't think about how much this secretly hurts their kids or the long term damage it will do to their psyche. Even after realizing they dont know basic info they won't go work on it. The mothers would work diligently to correct themselves. These dads will go on acting the same way. Sigh...must be nice to be able to rely on a multi-tasking organized woman so they don't have to remember much. I hope they appreciate their spouses.

there was only 2 of us and i am the only girl in the family and my dad would call me my brothers name at times
I've heard a theory that it's because of the way the brain groups & connects information (kind of like putting similar things into the same drawer or folder). Since you are all in the same group: her kids, her brain knows it's somewhere in that group.
Also, don't feel too bad. Some moms have even thrown the pet's name in there before they got to the right name.

Obviously, this is a over exaggeration of dads knowledge. They interview all day to find the few who didnt know these questions. I know this because Ive been apart of this and they never used my footage because I knew all the answers, its rather obvious.
