Galaxy S23 Ultra is the latest and the greatest that is out there right now in the market and nothing compares to it! I switched from iPhone 12 to the S23 Ultra and am very happy with my decision - the S pen and Dex are features so useful for my daily productivity. This is some serious piece of tech, you can even answer calls without picking the phone up and the battery backup lasts much more than a day. Excellent experience with Samsung this time!

I just upgraded from my Note 10Plus to the S23 Ultra & it was long over due. Everything is 10 times better & my new S23 Ultra is outcold.
So far, I'm loving my new phone & learning all the new tips & tricks. IMO to get a better upgrade & more bang for your buck, I only upgrade my phones ever 2 or 3 years.

Awesome, I'm glad you liked that one! You can even do a 10 minute (or shorter) timelapse recording in that mode, as long as you have it on a tri-pod. It will take a long exposure of the galaxy. I meant to show that cool part in this video, I stumbled right past it, lol. Thanks for stopping by!

This is insanely useful. I’m getting one of these in a few days and I’m coming from an iPhone 11 so I know nothing about how Samsung works. The amount of times I heard “swipe down and go to settings” was pretty crazy though haha. I guess everything you need is pretty much there if you take the time to explore it

With Samsung find my mobile...you can lock phone, factory reset, change your password if you forgt it and lock SIM Card so it cant be removed

What exactly does it show, that's really strange? There should be the option for the Brightness Control, as well as "Device control and Meda output buttons", do you see them both? I don't have the S23 ultra, but a lot of the tips can be applied to the S22 Ultra. Also, you might need another device to watch the video while you are using the S23 Ultra.
Hi, thanks for watching. I'm glad a lot of these are useful for your s22 as well, very cool. I usually use my tab S8 ultra as a viewfinder while I record, as I can pull nice focus with it. But in this video, I had to use the fold 4 off in the distance, while the tab S8 ultra was used for showing notes. I'm sorry it's a bit out of focus in this video, I noticed as well. The brightness of the S23 was too high, and the bold fonts that I usually disable didn't help. Lessons learned as I go along 👍

Most of the tips also can be applied to my 5 years old Note 9!
One of my choices for the side key might be the voice recorder. I am sure there has to be one in this phone and I have found that to be very useful as I go about my day. One thing I never see shown in these videos but would be very useful to me, is a stop watch or timer sort of feature, there has to be one in this phone. Specifically, I'd like to be able to set an alarm chime to go off say every minute, or every two minutes, have the chime sound for maybe 10 seconds before going off, but chime again on the next minute or two minute mark, and so on. That's most important, so I can have it on me when on the exercise bike or out walking or jogging or something. It would be nice to be able to adjust the chime volume too depending on how loud any background noise is where i am. Also nice to have the chime sound in my ear buds rather than outloud if I am wearing those. Though less important, it would be nice if I could set a time duration for how long this would go on. So for example, a la the Body For Life cardio workout, I could set it to chime every minute for 20 minutes, and then I can sprint or do max effort for one minute, then relax and do light for one minute, then sprint or max out again, then light, and so on. The chime means I wouldn't always have to be looking at the screen, and some exercise bikes don't have anyplace to stand your smart phone on for easy viewing while riding. Anyone know if this feature is in the phone, or if an app can be downloaded for such?
Hi, thanks for watching. For the voice recorder, you can download the free Voice Recorder app from the Samsung Galaxy store, and it will directly integrate with your phone. You'll get the option to enable voice recording in many of the settings, and you should be able to assign it to the side key once installed as well.
For the timer interval functionallity, there's a ton of free high rated apps on the Google Play Store that do exactly what you're asking for. Open up the Play Store, and search for "workout timer interval", you'll have a ton of options.

Just ordered mine today I pray I'm not disappointed. I have a professional camera in which I don't take every where I go so I'm hoping this does just as well if I see something I need to pull over in the country side and take photos.
It does great, especially as long as you have good lighting conditions. I shoot with a Sony ZV-E1 full frame, and my good old Canon M50 aps-c, and the S23 Ultra hangs in there well with both of them. Of course the Sony beats it (it beats any camera I've ever used for video), but it's not really far behind, all in all. Congrats on getting it, and make sure to take a few pics of full moons, they're epic on this little guy.

Hi🖖 Is it possible to make three rows of icons on the top, just like in your video (those with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc)? I bought my phone recently and now it shows only two lines. Apparently, this is because of a new update, but I still hope it can be changed somewhere in the settings.
Thanks for stopping by. For the quick toggle icons, I don't know of a way to change the number of rows. Though you do get to see more if you pull the notification down twice, or with 2 fingers. I might have more due to the screen scaling and zoom features, along with the text size I'm using. Those can all be adjusted in the main Display settings.

Hi, thanks for watching. It's likely not available in your region yet then, but likely will be soon. You can install via VPN or Nice Lock, please check my video for "good lock" and you should see a couple related to side-loading it.
What do you mean by voice in DeX? Are you referring to google assistant, or accessbility options? It's pretty limited when using DeX.

Maybe you can help me with a problem(?) with the S23 Ultra? The icons in the camera app changed with the most resent software update? There's the icon for Settings in the left corner, then blitz, timer and then normally you'd have the [4:3] icon and you can touch to choose what format you want - but now the icons is like this: 3:4, 12M, icon for censor movement and filters.
I really want icons back as they were before. Do you know how to do this?

Hi, thanks for watching. This is the Samsung S-View case, it's available on Samsung's website. It's pretty cool, except the power and volume buttons are really hard to press with it on. That's my biggest complaint with it over time. Otherwise, it's pretty cool, and I like all of the info the little window provides.
The acrylic clear case from otterbox has an amazing volume and power button feel to it. Not hard and stiff or awkward to press but it is a little expensive.

In as much as these tips are useful, they actually exist on my A52s 5g device I'm currently on. Except a few like samsung Dex and astronomy tool. 🤷🏽♂️🤷🏽♂️
Yes indeed, almost all of them are there. Once my channel starts to get a little bigger, I'll be able to use terms like "on your Samsung Galaxy Device...", instead of being specific with models like "on your Galaxy S23 Ultra...". RUclips doesn't recommend my videos if I don't add a specific model, they basically die the second I publish them. the video compression on S23 Ultra is HEVC, all the way from 30HD to 30 8K. Is this the problem I have with You Tube and Whats app, this format is not compatible? Everything looks jittery, to not to say unusable!

So I haven't paid attention to the codec really, but I do shoot in whatever the default is on the S23 Ultra and have used some of the footage in b-rolls in a couple videos. I didn't notice any problem. Are you referring to uploading the file and viewers aren't seeing it properly, or do you mean it's playing back jittery right on your S23 Ultra? Seems odd either way, and I'm not sure about WhatsApp.

Good explanation for many functions, but due to the update to One Ui 6, there are several that no longer work or work completely differently.
Also the image of the phone screen is not sharp enough, I don't think this has anything to do with your comment about it being overexposed.
Thanks for stopping by! Yep, One UI 6 is here and makes many of these obsolete now. I've done one or two One UI 6 videos since this one, but I really need to get a complete guide out there now that I'm back from 2 eye surgeries.
It turned out my Canon M50 got switched over to manual focus (I used to switch back and forth a lot), and I was just having a lot of problems with it in general. Since then, I upgraded to the Sony ZV-E1 and absolutely love it! Oh my goodness, I don't think I can make a video out of focus now if I tried, lol! It's awesome!
Sony does different things than most manufacturers, which makes the difference and is usually very smart. I have a Sony DSC-HX100V for many years and the videos I make with it, even in dark conditions with limited light, still look fantastic. My headphone and TV are also from Sony and I still use the Mini-Disc that they also invented@@RADERTECH

Is there an option to wake screen when you receive a message or notification?
Hi Keith, thanks for watching! Yes, you have a few options, here's a couple of them...
Flash notifications - go into Accessibility under Settings and there will be an option for flash notifications. This will light up your screen and/or camera flash when you get a new notification. You can also enabled detailed notifications on the lock screen, under lock screen settings. You can also download a free app from the play store called Glimpse Notifications. It will temporarily show them on your screen when they come in.
U can enable show on notifications option under always on display settings. This will show u that u have received a notification until u view them.
I cannot access the grid layout for home screen or app tray, it's mot in my menu . Did I miss a setting?
Pinch in to show the selction for Wallpaper, Theme, etc.. and tap the one called Settings. It will have the home screen grid layout options there. Thanks for watching!

I tapped on the Expert Raw and when I opened it something inside app was removed I have no idea what happened and I do not have the fully functions on app. Can anyone please help me Please?????
Hi Terry, thanks for watching. It could be that it's not available yet in your area. There's an easy way to check though. Open up the Samsung Galaxy Store app, it will be the app drawer, it's installed by default. Once opened, search for "Expert Raw", minus the quotes. If you don't see any resultes, then it's not available yet, but should be soon. If you do see it there, perhaps there's an update available and/or it will let you isntall it from here instead. Happy to help futher if you need more assistance.

Being the pen can turn it off and on will it require you to enter your password so no one can get in your phone?

For screenshots, a quick press of volume down+power works, and you can also swipe across the screen with your palm, both work well.
If you're having issues with the Edge Panel that comes out from the side, I recently put out a dedicated video about using them, it was just a few videos back and has "Edge Panels" in the name.

Why do some s23 ultra phones have protect device in the battery and device care,,,and some dont??
Hi, thanks for stopping by. I'm pretty sure it's actually there for everyone, but many may not know it's been moved around a bit. Instead of being at the bottom (I think I recall it being there before, my apologies if I'm mistaken), it's now just listed under all the battery and storage options, and should Off or On underneath. You can tap that to go into the settings of it.
How does Good Lock differ from Nova Launcher?
Thanks for stopping by. Good Lock is a suite of customization modules that let you fine tune your phone native's OS experience, that being One UI. With Nova Launcher, it's more like a skin that sits on top of One UI, and offers it's own functionallity for the home screen, app drawer, and the overall look and feel. They can seem very similar at first, but once you get used to using a few different launchers, you'll see how they differ from Good Lock.
I'm used to dark mode because i'm a gamer I can't stand light mode. (Literally am a vampire of some sort). xD

Is there an ability to run music while recording a video without downloading an app?
Yes and no. So you can't really directly on the device, but there's a workaround that may work for you. If you go in to the Sound settings, there will be a section called "Seperate app sound". In that section, you can pick 1 or more apps that you want to push sound to another device, like earbuds, while those apps are running. In this scenario, you should be able to record a video, while playing music on Spotify (just an example) via your bluetooth earbuds. But I don't know of a clever way to play it drectly on the device while recording.

Hi, thanks for watching! For the 2 finger swipe for notifications, please make sure you're starting the swipe with both fingers from the very top of the screen. One finger swipe is supported right on the Home screen, but 2 finger isn't. You have to have start with your fingers way up top.

I only set dark mode for evening viewing but not to save battery because you are not actually saving battery. When you use dark mode you have to increase the brightness to get better viewing of the screen but when you are in the white mode you reduce the brightness of the screen.
Hi, thanks for watching. It's personal preference as to which one you like, we're all different and have our own viewing habbits. For me personally, I never chenge the brightness when switching between dark and light mode, even in sunlight. If you keep them both the same, you'll definitely save battery using dark mode, it's just a by-product of being OLED based. But I see what you mean if you feel the need to increase the brightness in dark mode, that would certainly defeat the purpose in regards to saving battery, lol. Good Lock is completely safe to put on your phone, there must be some settings you have off unfortunately. Good Lock is made by Samsung and is designed to work with your galaxy device. It must have been a glitch, or you've enabled a setting that's still very experimental in Good Lock. There's a few of them in there, that way we can all test before they become a regular option on all phones. That's what Good Lock was initially intended for, then they made it more mainstream about 4 to 5 years ago.

Please don't give up on Good Lock just because of this one experience, Good Lock is solid, I've been using it for years on all my galaxy devices, tablets included. If you truly want to customize your galaxy device without installing a bunch of 3rd party apps, Good Lock is the way.
