This is a bit off topic, but I wonder if Detlaff knew that he was within arms reach of his 5th and final victim at Orianna's party. Also the writers made a mistake when Anna Henrietta said that Detlaff sat at her table, they were at Orianna's estate.

You make a really good point about how the urgency of the main quest leaves no room to do any sidequests beforehand. If a game has side content that can expire then it should create a natural pause in the main quest where this side content makes sense. In the case of The Warble of a Smitten Knight all they had to do was have Guillaume clearly indicate that he suspects Vivienne is cursed and it would give Geralt a reason to investigate.

Yeah, just a short dodge like "Why does it matter, I have already been caught and I doubt Detlaph will be willing to work with me again even if you spare him" would work as a dodge and something that Geralt might accept because as far as he and even Sianna are aware she has lost the tools to finish her plan. Sianna probably didn't expect the Dutchess to still be naieve enough to be in such a vulnerable position right in front of her and Geralt had no idea that the single person Sianna would have a slight chance to murder was her last target

*A Great Video Blood and Wine is Indeed Special. It Completes a Personal Arc for Geralt where he gets an opportunity to make amends for the Killing of Renfri in the very first book. Hope CDPR does an equally good job if not better for the next trilogy.* I think A Knight's Tale( *Jacob the Woodcutter* ) and Roach Quest also deserved a mention.

I think Blood and Wine is one of the best expansions ever in any game. Sure, the 5th victim plotline isn't great but like Mass Effect 2, the focus on characters both new and old and how you can directly change their story really demonstrates the choices available to the player, which the first 2 Acts of the game basically left out.

I appreciate you making it clear that Geralt would absolutely kill Detlaff. Geralt kills any monster that hurts/kills people, it's as simple as that. He would have done anything to kill Detlaff despite him being manipulated into his actions.

The fact that Neon knight was my go to Witcher guide that speaks what he knows about and this was before my older brother got the PS 4 with the witcher wild hunt and hearts of stone and blood and wine dlcs, so before then I'd just play my Skyrim as a Geralt of Rivia build and when I did play the witcher 3 I was so excited and got the best or average ending, I mean I got the Witcher S ending, Olgred survived during the Hearts of stone and the sister died during blood and wine and I'd say that's all good for me I can live with that and now knowing what Geralt would do during blood and wine I can play it again and do what's right. Neon knight thanks to you I can tell my friends and girlfriend all about the witcher really I'm no witcher expert it's you so thanks my friends just, see you on the path ❤
