I think Blood and Wine is one of the best expansions ever in any game. Sure, the 5th victim plotline isn't great but like Mass Effect 2, the focus on characters both new and old and how you can directly change their story really demonstrates the choices available to the player, which the first 2 Acts of the game basically left out.

I appreciate you making it clear that Geralt would absolutely kill Detlaff. Geralt kills any monster that hurts/kills people, it's as simple as that. He would have done anything to kill Detlaff despite him being manipulated into his actions.
The fact that Neon knight was my go to Witcher guide that speaks what he knows about and this was before my older brother got the PS 4 with the witcher wild hunt and hearts of stone and blood and wine dlcs, so before then I'd just play my Skyrim as a Geralt of Rivia build and when I did play the witcher 3 I was so excited and got the best or average ending, I mean I got the Witcher S ending, Olgred survived during the Hearts of stone and the sister died during blood and wine and I'd say that's all good for me I can live with that and now knowing what Geralt would do during blood and wine I can play it again and do what's right. Neon knight thanks to you I can tell my friends and girlfriend all about the witcher really I'm no witcher expert it's you so thanks my friends just, see you on the path ❤
Ironically, that kind of is a mission in BaW. When Geralt takes an extremely potent psychedelic substance to hunt an Umbra and finds himself able to talk to Roach

Especially after having accounts from people that explain her evil acts aren't born from nothing, and she was cruelly mistreated by the people who she killed.
@@MDOC321Detlaff murdered hundreds of innocent people because he's a manchild, Syanna murdered four guilty people (planned a fifth) and did everything she could to stop Detlaff's rampage. I don't think you can fairly characterise them as equally bad and therefore equally worthy of death here.
THANK YOU. Dont get me wrong, detlaff is likeable, but wow is he a simpleton
Dammit, NK, over 2000 hours of Witcher 3 + DLC's played and you make me want to start a fresh annual replay. W3 is my November/December hunker down and enjoy.
Going through a rough patch in life at the moment. You couldn't have dropped this at a better time. Thank you, Neon.

my glorious king Neon Knight has returned
such an underrated video great job man.
It's funny how Toussaint is still in 'danger' if the Unseen Elder ever decides to go on a rampage.
Like, he, and other Unseen Elders can make the current world a new Vampire-like world.
That's exactly the point they can but choose not to so it's better to leave them alone and try not to piss them off 😂
Yeah, but elder vampires like the Unseen Elder are more concerned with finding a way back to their homeworld. They’d rather have as little to do with humans as possible if they can help it
I like to think he’s a more intense version of the Vampire you can find under Novigrad (cannot remember quest name).
“Is it 1358 yet?”
“No.”
“Then FUCK OFF!”
He seems chill, just wanting to be left alone sleeping for the next couple hundred years. Maybe in the next game which might be set in the future he’ll be active if the continent goes through a 2nd conjunction of the spheres. CDPR have confirmed Geralt will make a guest appearance, so if it’s in the future there HAS to be monsters for the game to be interesting right?
@@campber9908 in both my playthroughs I’ve NEVER encountered this nor have I heard anyone mention it, wow! I feel tempted to redownload the game to find this sleeping vampire 🧛
The 1 hour length was intimidating, but damn it flew by. So entertaining from start to finish and the writing is so tight and funny I can safely say this is one of the best videos I've seen on this platform recently. It also made me see quite a lot of stuff differently (namely the two quests at the end of the vid) and I am glad for that, great watch
Thanks for doing another one of these man. Love witcher lore but never understood it deeply while playing. You make learning it super enjoyable. No idea what you'll do next but im sure ill love it all the same. Keep up the good work bro!
I completely agree about Guillaume, after the Shaelmaar, i 100% forgot ab him and by pure chance found him while i was making my way to register in the tournament. Poor guy lmao
Thank you, good sir! I awaited another breakdown longingly 🙏
I never came across the basilisk quest, lucky me i started new gameplay recently, cant wait to finish all of the witcher 3
Man, I love that breakdowns of this game are still coming out. Quality work as usual. Much appreciated.
One of the reasons i bought the bookset was because of this channel, enjoying it a lot so far
This expansion is pure gold. Couldve been its own game.
I always used to hate the “good ending”, but this video gave me a newfound appreciation for it. Thanks for the much-needed insight!
I appreciate how you’re obviously a big Witcher fan, but despite (or because of) that you can still critique flaws, whether they be in the games, show or books.
What perfect timing! I just finished Hearts of Stone with your suggested choices for Geralt, and I hadn't even realized there wasn't a Blood and Wine video.
I was very happy when I saw the final video is twice as long as the Patreon Preview. Looking forward to it :)
Man I love your videos and this is another masterpice. Right now you are my most favourite youtube creator and I would love to see the last What would Geralt do vide from Witcher 1. Thanks for all your effort in those videos and keep making such good content
Wow I literally just finished the Hearts of Stone video, and just finished Blood and Wine a few days ago. Absolutely wild timing.
I expected to see many things in this video. Redlettermedia’s nerd crew at 35:09 was not one of them.
*A Great Video Blood and Wine is Indeed Special. It Completes a Personal Arc for Geralt where he gets an opportunity to make amends for the Killing of Renfri in the very first book. Hope CDPR does an equally good job if not better for the next trilogy.* I think A Knight's Tale( *Jacob the Woodcutter* ) and Roach Quest also deserved a mention.
Another fantastic, well researched and thought-through video! Thanks NK! Greetings from 🇸🇪
Video starts at 0:01
Thanks man ,couldn’t find the start 🗣️🗣️🗣️
Shut up
Wind's howlin
Thank you it is appreciated
Nah
This whole expansion is a masterpiece and it’s been a hot minute since I’ve played BOW, so thank you for this absolute banger of a video to grace our screens with
Man I didn't even KNOW Syanna could be talked down. God damn that's a good ending
That's crazy this is uploaded today. I've just completed blood and wine for the first time ever like 3 hours ago! Perfect timing ❤
When the world needed him most... He actually showed up
Glad you decided to defend Syanna. I remember a few years ago in the Witcher subreddit where users accused her of lying about the abuse she received.
That's one hour and 5 minutes of forgetting that these temperatures are melting me... Couldn't have been more on time!
Seriously it's 98 right now and it's supposed to be 104 today. I feel like I'm being baked alive 😂
@@darknesswave100 judging by the measurements for temperature that you use I think we live at very different areas in the world... But I guess the northern hemisphere is united in suffering at the moment XD
Blood and Wine really made me fall in love with the best we can do sort of endings I know rpgs usually have atleast one perfect ending where everyone lives happily ever after but there aren't really any endings like that here.
I'm certain I'm not alone when I say this: If/when you were to make more WWGD videos for less consequential stuff, we WILL watch them. Keep up the good work NK.
i really liked all the characters from blood and wine. Your take on the dlc was as great as always
My dumbass when met with the ribbon choice said “I’m gonna kick this kids ass at gwent”
Discovered your channel two months ago after starting another w3 playthrough, and have since watched all your content! I've been waiting for this video, so excited to watch it!!!
Perfect timing upload. Cheers 🥂
Been waiting too long for this. I know it takes a lot of effort to make these, ive just been looking forward to it.
By the heron,
I have long awaited thy labours.
My thanks bee upon thee.
Awesome video man. Was just watching your Cyberpunk 77 videos again as I started a new play thru
@Neon Knight I recently just chose to kill the Silver Basilisk, mainly after watching this month ago i saw and understood what your trying to say so i did and the Count threatened Geralt that all would know he is a brutal heartless killer and i laughed when he said that cause Geralt has been hearing that for years, in fact he ignores the man which made it even funnier
I am always blown away by the amount of work you put into these videos, sir. You always manage to make me appreciate the games and books even more with your careful attention to detail and ability to connect the dots. Well done, as always.
i love how independent these videos are. your videos never stick to the wisdom of the crab, geralt in all of his curiosity and thoroughness would be proud, i'm sure
when i saw this upload i couldnt wait, man is it good, makes me feel 100 times better for the sisters living and reconciled ending because of my dear regis' exile and all, and also makes me feel better about other quest endings too, very good video
Another fantastic Geralt Choices video! Thank you so much for all the hard work you put in your videos. It clearly shows!
Also, this video came out at just the right time as I’m currently playing through Blood and Wine.
Impeccable timing with this upload. I finished the DLC and the whole game for a second time mere hours before you uploaded the video.
Thanks for your hard work and remember to rest as well!
One of the best editors on youtube and I'm lucky enough to have them focus on my favorite game of all time. Great vid per usual. Gonna miss these WWGD vids. That is until Witcher 4 comes out. I have a sneaking suspicion it's gonna be create your own witcher though so we might need a re-tool.
Thanks for all the hard work you do to make these amazing videos covering one of the greatest games of all time. You’re truly one of the RUclips GOATS
You've outdone yourself mate. Bro spat fire from 40:00 to 43:00. Brought a tear to my eye. Made me appreciate this ending... Finally..
Blood and Wine is such a fantastic expansion. It's hard to believe it's ONLY an expansion.
I appreciate you making it clear that Geralt would absolutely kill Detlaff. Geralt kills any monster that hurts/kills people, it's as simple as that. He would have done anything to kill Detlaff despite him being manipulated into his actions.
Yep. Geralt’s killed people and other monsters for far less than what Dettlaff’s done.
"unless Geralt got bumped in the head really hard by Roach" got me laughing way more than it should have
Ironically, that kind of is a mission in BaW. When Geralt takes an extremely potent psychedelic substance to hunt an Umbra and finds himself able to talk to Roach
so hyped for this video. genuinely one of the best youtubers out there, if not the best. tysm for what you do ❤
Been waiting for this vid, as always you did an amazing job! Thanks for creating these amazing free videos for us!! Really appreciate it!
Will save this for a future watch when I have more time, but thank you. I've been waiting for this and I already know this will be worth it.
I HAVE BEEN SO EXCITED FOR THIS VIDEO TO RELEASE!!
1:17 lmfao Neon never fails to make me smile
great video! and very cheeky with memes. feels like you finally have life going good. glad for you! and thank you for your work
Loving the editing. Your videos are always a comfort watch, keep it up!
I've been enjoying your Witcher videos alot! I really loved the game when it came out almost a decade ago and I really enjoy how much effort you have put into your videos. Really good content here and I always look forward to your next!
Always add something to the lore I didn't know. Thank you again for another great video, keep up the good work
Man, this series is an absolute Masterpiece!
