I grew up in the best generation, looking up to real men with the the coolest professions and skills. With hobbies like building motorcycles and cars/ trucks to race . The Baja 1,000 was the holy grail of the off road racing. Riding a customized Honda XR600R BAJA sealed the deal for me and planted the seed of a love for high performance dirt bikes. These guys were my role models, not rappers and movie stars lol ! Nothing like getting your first motorcycle and going on your first off road adventure with your Dad and riding buddies. My teens were so awesome and carefree I was fortunate that I got to be a kid and have people teach me mechanical skills and rebuild and drive my first truck years before my peers . Growing up in the country has it's perks. Just having fun. Still have my hobbies and racing but I have less time to to it , while having work and other responsibilities of adulthood.
Superb in every respect -- editing of helicopter and helmet cams; narration of the preparations, route, maintenance; and the drama of waking at 0 dark 30 to race another day. Impressed with your riding skills and attitude towards other riders and ancillary staff. A well-spoken, respectful ambassador for our sport. And now I understand better how you made it across Siberia!
GREAT VIDEO! Lyndon shows a great personality and even admit he could not catch the first guy demonstrates a TRUE sportsman, it's not just about win, having a good time and making friends are very nice too! I will keep this video running in our shop from now on! Congrats everybody!
Respect. Great sportsman, and a shining example of what it means to be a world class competitor. Best of luck in Dakar Lyndon, will watch your progress with interest.
Just love these videos. Tremendous quality capturing the whole experience. From the prep to the finish its all first class and I really don’t think I’ve seen it done better. Thanks for all the effort!
Brilliant Lyndon your the Man, really enjoyed this as well as the races to places stuff, great video editing chaps, very very very well done respect to you all.
Great to finally meeting you recently @ Piston & Chain. I enjoyed this video a lot...I like the background info on you and your origin and the play by play showing what's involved to run in a major race like the Baja Rally. Stay safe and keep up the great work!
I enjoyed that it's a very good watch. Very well put together. Also well done on completing the event it looks gruelling. The 450s looked pretty good. And I really enjoyed the unboxing and assemble of the two bikes like I said it's a really interesting watch there isn't a huge selection of enduro films out there so if that's what your looking for then I advise you watch this
That was a great watch! Thanks, to everyone, for putting it together and congratulations to the team for a successful Baja performance. It's shows like this, and folks like those, that inspire me to take my RD04 off the beaten track. Looking forward to watching more - ps: am a preparation nerd - more of that please :p
cool thanks for sharing. would like to see a video on the bike rebuilds as to what you change to make it the best it can be. It would be a great resource for us non- engineers.. cheers
42:55 love the map! Missed this part of history when USA conquer Mexico down to el Mar de Cortez though! Wonder if people from Sonora know about their nationality...Cool doc anyway!
Awesome! Can you briefly explain the difference between the Baja 3.0, Baja 2.0, and the Baja 1000? I can't seem to find any clear answers elsewhere online, but some movies show racers doing the race (seemingly) in one go, only stopping for fuel, fixes, and to switch riders, while this episode and other websites talk about bivouacs and sleeping between stages. Thanks
The Baja Rally is a separate organization from SCORE International that runs the Baja 500, 1000, etc. The Baja Rally is a rally with navigation and maps and stages, the SCORE races are all at one time with no breaks, and no navigation. You have to find small signs on the side of the trail and know your way and can't repair or fix your bike.
great work guys but just out of interest, why didn't you prep the bike before you shipped it? Also, did you use the standard KTM rear wheel spindle nut/ chain adjuster block? seen so many fail.
Good job Lyndon, If I may ask, do you have any price list of the custom build bikes like Basil :). Just want to know what is the price range as I could not find it on the adventure spec web site. Thanks

What was that powder you put in your water bladder at 31:00?
Mr Tomatoface It was a ScienceInSport electrolyte container...but I think it was actually Mexican cocaine.
Nice Gary very nice🧐🤓🤩
What is Lyndon's bike during Baja Rally? Is it KTM 450 Rally, or 690?
I too a moto-blogger... have a wish 2 have a ride like this ... lovely.. nice
Kick ass!!!
Hey just wondering can any help me what is the fuel tank on the Husaberg? race number 14.
excuse me if i'm being dumb but how on earth can you get done for speeding in a race?
Hey Lyndon... HOw much does it cost to run the baja rally?
35:10 i thought Lyndon was gonna drink some Motorex...
Silly boy. It's not for drinkin" but putting on you cereal. Keeps you regular.
SOUP HERB, AMAZBALLS!
LOLED at the BMW crate to carry a KTM.
Epic :-)
Why didnt you race the baja 1000? No sleep overs and hot meals.
He did that already, 4 or 5 years before this. The 1000 is roached
brill
great effort... BUT... WHAT "editor" stuffed it with the noise overlay (even overlaying the narration & commentry!! ffs) no relavence at all
I had no idea you could be penalized for speeding in a race!
Hardcore shit !!!!! respect !!!!!
Come and have a real motorcycle adventure, riding the Dakar Rally routes here in Bolivia. Motorcycle Tours Bolivia, Uyuni.
Seriously?
I didn't know jet li is a motorbike rider!
I think you'd have had a way easier time bringing the bike & kit directly into Mexico. The USSA can be a hassle and a half, man, these days.
really? thought it was pronounced badger
