My own top 6 is:
6. Rumble Down Under: Annoying terrain, hate the crane and the truck, the kangaroos are annoying, looks ugly.
5. The Opera of Fear: Feels like a maze, hate the Murray costume, only thing I liked was the canal boats chases.
4. A cold alliance: like the map, like the enemies, loved the dragon fight, don't like the vampire mission, like using Panda King.
3. Flight of Fancy: Like flying the planes and like hacking minigames.
2. Honour among thieves: Like the Guru mission, like the plane section, love the vault mission, don't like the RC or swimming missions. Makes it feel like a test of all the characters (except Panda King) and their mastery
1. Dead men tell no Tales: PIRATES! Loved the Sea monster battle, liked the treasure hunts, LOVE the ship battles. Didn't like the RC mission.

OMG! yes! a cold alliance is my favourite episode of sly 3 too. it's so different compared to all the other episodes, but in the best way possible.

For me this is my rankings of the Episodes:
1. A Cold Alliance - Definitely my favorite, honestly probably the best episode of Sly period imo.
2. Honor Among Thieves
- Despite my hatred for the Dmitri bits this is my second favorite due to all the epicness of it.
3. Rumble Down Under
- Has the second-best open world in the game. The Lemonade drinking mission is arguably Sly Cooper at its best.
4. Dead Men Tell no Tales
- Despite the Dmitri level really enjoyed this episode. I particularly liked the ship segments.
5. An Opera of Fear - The reason this is so close to the bottom is that I find the open world to be the least fun of the bunch. That spaghetti mission
is a particular highlight of the game though.
6. Flight of Fancy - That stupid protect the hanger mission was atrocious and took me forever to beat. This episode also has the unique honor of being the only time I've played games asleep (which to my annoyance meant I had to play through everything before it again as I had saved and missed all the story of it). I apparently was a better player asleep than awake as even if I started playing immediately when I went to sleep I beat the episode faster asleep than I did while I was awake by like an hour.

Hey VIVI, have you ever heard about Sly 4: Deceit of Thieves? It's a fan project being made as a direct sequel to Sly 3 completely ignoring Thieves in Time. I think this has a lot of promise. You should make a video about it (unless you already did and I haven't watched it yet).
Man this game is a vibe, the best sly game for me😍😍
I actually like the ship sections even if they dragged, the turret section with the Panda King however is tied with Sly 2's TNT missions as some of the worst in the series.
I know it and nice surprise, but hopefully your ranking video will not take, because I want comment on a sence.

but VIVI going off the topic of games for a minute I watched the new animated movie on Netflix yesterday called over the moon and it was so good I thought! I really wasn't expecting much going into it but it just really surprised me! I mean it's similar to a lot of movies from Disney, Pixar and Dreamworks to some capacity, but everything about it, the songs, music, animation, characters, even the touching story. it was all heartfelt. I really highly recommend it okay?

OK, here we go again;
6 - Rumble Down Under - I like Guru's Gameplay, his interactions with Murray and Lemon Rage, and that's about it. Stage doesn't look too bad in terms of visuals but it's the least interesting one of the game for me, villain was pretty weak as well, easily the worst one we ever got for the trilogy, some of the mini games were pretty annoying, maybe more so then other episodes, and the less said about Carma-Larger the better.
5 - Honour Among Thieves - Doesn't do a whole lot to impress me but I like this one more then RDU, and it's easily my favourite final chapter of the series, giving us a taste of everyone's Gameplay style(except for Panda King for some reason), showing us how the Cooper Clan's unchecked ego creates people like Clockwerk in this world by giving us Dr.M who's been driven insane by what he did for Connor's gang by stealing all that loot that he's not allowed to have, the Ancestor's Gautlet and so on.
4 - Flight Of Fancy - Pretty decent episode with a lot of stealth involved, a really cleaver twist with the villain, fantastic hub world and such, though it can get slow at times and there's not too much to be overhyped about here.
3 - Dead Man Tell No Tales - Yeah, this one, the one many hate in this game. I'm definitely one of the few who'd enjoy sailing the seas, probably because I'm already so used to how the mechanics work, but the idea of going up against pirates is a really fun concept, especially now that the gang has changed so much into a group of outlaws themselves, Dimitri's Gameplay I also didn't mind much of myself either, so yeah, I enjoyed this stage a lot more then most people would.
2 - A Cold Alliance - Not the greatest in Gameplay since there are a lot of frustrating moments but in terms of story, this was the peak of the game(maybe even the entire series), Panda King and Sly's dynamic, Murray's van, and many more to talk about with the game's story in this stage is why I ranked it this close to 1, the reason I didn't though is ...
1 - An Opera Of Fear - The perfect all rounder for me when it comes to episodes, not just in this game but for the entire series for me. Great amount of presentation, level design, Gameplay and story. It all checks out for me being evened out which I like.

hey vivi were you disappointed that sly 3 had 2 episodes less than sly 2? 8 for 2 and 6 for 3. I mean I was surprised at first and kind of hoped they would've gone all out with maybe another 2 episodes but I guess given the premise of the story overall, probably no need to be as long as sly 2 right?
I personally wasn't that bothered :)
1. an opera of fear, 2. dead men tell no tales, 3. a cold alliance, reasoning: 1, the story, the fact that they try to convince Murray to join, Octavia trying to get back at everyone for turning their backs on him, its actually good, 2, some of the missions, examples: freeing Dimirti, having to climb under the tables just made me sorta nervous but excited, finding the codes, the costume for the guard was cool in my opinion, and i liked how sly interacted with the guards, fooling them instead of taking the direct approach to kill them. reasoning for number 2: the fact that you interact will a villian, its rare for someone to interact with a villian, and mainly the fact that they are forcing sly to get along and play with the pirate talk game is interesting, reasoning for number 3, the fact that you team up with someone who killed his family is interesting to me, and the generals personality goes along with the theme of the forcing of a marriage.

Missed opportunity to play the original Panda King and Mugshot boss music in their respective fights
the general tsao fight has to be my favourite from all boss fights in the trilogy (havent played sly4), and cant forget those really cool details throughout the episode like the large pots tsao used for security, flying up to the dragon with rockets as sly and ofcourse using the goons as platforms with the help of the guru

My order worst to best is 6, 4, 2, 5, 3, 1. General Tsao outsmarting the gang after Jean Bison and Nilla just felt like the gang doesn't put forth enough effort to secure their base.
Woah episode 5 is my favorite. I love the pirate atmosphere and I love the ship stuff. I had so much fun fighting other ships. Lafwee is also a good villain. Pretty smart. I also love the introduction of the pirate map mini challenges. The resort of my picks of best to work are:
My number 5 pick is The Panda king episode. I like General Tsao a lot as a villain. He’s a sexist purist piece of crap, but he’s also smart. He even find the hangout and messed up their plans.
Number 4 is The black baron episode. I like the idea they are in a competitive and lots of old Cooper villains are here too. I do feel that the plane dogfights drag on a little sometimes though and the sewer missions are lame.
My next pick is Dr.M’s island. I like it for the story and seeing all the gang working together l, but I’m not a fan of most of the mission sections, except for Thr cooper gauntlet.
Number 2 is the Venice episode. I like the story element of Murry having felt guilty and him having to accept that it wasn’t his fault. But I dunno just having sly and Bentley for most of the episode...Sly 2 didnit better. Octavio also has a real strange plan.
My least favorite is the outback episode. I think the mask of dark earth is lame, and there a quite a few missions I don’t like. I do love the lemonade bar fight though.

Have you ever noticed how when he has his Dreamtime getup on in the game, he looks like he still has his mask on?
Fudge it’s been like 5 years since I played...From what I remember though:
6. Episode 6 (Cooper vault) - I like the idea of this episode more than the execution. It’s cool to be tested with every character’s ability (that’s what final levels should be). However, I don’t care to be tested on Penelope’s stupid toy car or the lizard dude’s gimmicky swimming mechanics. The last parts with Sly’s gauntlet was admittedly sick as hell though. Just wish the final encounter had a little more emotion to it (like said in the video).
5. Episode 4 (China) - I remember the missions being very annoying, but Panda King’s return and the boss fight with Tao made it worth playing.
4. Episode 5 (Pirate level) - Very cool episode theme with some questionable design choices. None of them made me hate the level though.
3. Episode 2 (Australia) - Nice change of scenery. Just a few too many vehicle levels for my taste though.
2. Episode 1 (Italy) - Very classical feel to it (no pun intended).
1. Episode 3 (Plane level) - Very pretty locale, and I like the plane theme. There was only one mini-game I didn’t like from this chapter...Flying the planes...
Vivi I seriously can’t wait for you to rank the sly 4 levels. If my number 1 choice isn’t the same as yours they’ll be no sly 5 at all! You know which one I’m talking about right? Second to last episode...

3: A Cold Alliance: The Panda King boss concept was great. You're right, General Tsao IS a villain I would want to punch in the face lol. And I would just love to visit China someday.
2: The Opera of Fear: Since I'm so used to this level since I've seen a lot of it when I first played/saw it, I enjoyed it more. The missions were fun and Don Octavio is my favorite villain in the game, next to Dr. M.
1: Honor Among Thieves: For how climatic it was and how much meaning the story was for Sly, it gets number 1 for me.

Totally agree with your list, except for some little change on the end:
3rd. "A cold alliance": loved the story, everything regarding Panda King, but didn't appreciate the setting as much as 2nd and 1st place.
2nd. "Flight of Fancy": loved the mission where you sneak in the room of the Iceland team (if i remember right), loved the setting, especially in the first part where it's raining (it's a simple and maybe stupid thing, but the rain is something i really love to get the atmosphere), the Ace combat
1st. "The Opera of Fear": I love Venice. I love how they depicted and the background music of the Episode, it just make me remember when i was a child playing the game (and already loving this Episode) still now when i replay it for 1000th time. I love the Opera setting, one of the first missions where you enter into the Opera basement, the start when you meet Dimitri and sneak into Carmelita's office, the part where you enter Ottavio's bar with Bentley to look for codes in the paintings, the duet between Bentley and Ottavio, the reunion with Murray and the boss fight. Basically, i love everything about this episode.

Dead Man Tell No Tales easily had the potential to be the best episode ever. Don’t think any other episode has ever did better with environment, some of the best music ever and the map is beautiful and I even liked the guards. LeFwee was a really good villain and smart, but that boss “fight” was a joke lol. I don’t even feel it’s necessary to bring up the ship parts and treasure hunt, those were pretty much a joke and really took away from the episode. Wish they would’ve done more on land and did the ship part in a different way. But I enjoyed the fight with monster at sea with panda king

6: Rumbel Down Under. I really dissliked it. The scorpions and stuff. It just wasn't for me.
5: A cold alliance. The car levels and the playing as the panda king was annoying in my eyes i did enjoy the first fight against that rooster.
4: Dead Man Tells No Tales. I love the pirate theme. And even tho the car level was stupid. The rest was fun. I really liked the treasure hunts.
3: Honor Among Thieves. The only i thing i dissliked was dimitries part the rest was great. The flying and the cooper vault was great.
2: An opera of fear. The first episode i ever played. The talking to the guards and all tjat great stuff it was fun. Distroing the big sighn was so sick.
1: Flight of Fancy. I am Dutch so i loved it. The flying is great and i can not stop loving the flying. The playing as the guru and beating up mugshot. It is great.

VTNVIVI: Episode 5 is the worst

"An Opera Of Fear" and "Flight Of Fancy are my most favorite of game. They had the most detail to them.
Top 3 episodes for me:
1. Honor Among Thieves, what made this episode for me was definitely the Cooper Vault being able to explore that was awesome. Also aside from the Dimitri segments which I hated too I had a lot of fun with the missions in this episode, except for the one with the sharks that one was a little annoying but other than that I liked this episode.
2. Flight of Fancy, my favorite part of this episode was the aerial fights those were awesome and I loved the fight with the Black Baron. The only missions I wasn’t a fan of were the chopper missions and the mission where you have to protect the plane, I’m not a fan of missions that require you to multitask.
3. An Opera of Fear, this whole episode just felt like classic Sly with the reconnaissance where you have to take pictures to the intense boat chase and getting Murray back on the team after defeating Octavio just felt satisfying. My favorite mission in this episode though is the one where you have to bomb the generators in the sewer I had so much fun with that it’s the only one that I go back and replay.
Top 3 worst episodes:
1. A cold Alliance, now not everything in this episode is bad I love the opening where you go into the Panda Kings mind and I like the RC car missions in this episode and the boss fight against General Taso is awesome and unique, but the one thing that brings this episode down for me is the Murray mission where you have to retrieve his van as I stated before I hate controlling the chopper and the turret section is so frustratingly difficult that I end up dreading it every time I get to this episode.
2. Dead Men Tell No Tales, this episode just reeks of wasted potential the RC mission is more annoying than fun and while the treasure hunts were a cool idea they never really did anything with them you don’t get anything for completing them so what’s the point. And about the pirate ship section let’s just say that Kingdom Hearts 3 did it better I did like the boss fight with Lefwee though I thought that was cool and the insult game was fun and hilarious.
3. Rumble Down Under, honestly there really isn’t much about this level that’s worth remembering I mean yes the bar fight was amazing and it was cool to play as the Guru but other then that this level is just kind of boring and not to mention it features a villain that just kind of comes out of nowhere with no backstory as to where it came from.

It's kinda interesting that people don't like the pirate segment when a lot of its mechanics are extremely similar to assassin's Creed black flag mechanics
I think they really should do from the ground up remake of the visuals for the Sly trilogy. It deserves the ratchet and clank treatment, just keep the story the same lol

you know I do kind of find it weird how panda king is basically the only character not playable in episode 6 honour among thieves but everyone else is? even Penelope with her RC car? strange coincidence I think. lol
luckily there were only 2 Dimitri swimming levels. at least they didn't drag on forever right? lol

6. Rumble Down Under: Personally one of my most least favorite episodes in the franchise. Mask of dark earth was pretty boring and honestly the Australian map I feel like could’ve been done so much better. Minigames and missions weren’t that great except for the Lemonade section which is probably my favorite level in the franchise.
5: Dead men tell no tales: I love this section and everything about it music and gameplay were amazing and so was the map. It’s just literally every every episode besides Rumble could easily be the best. I will say though the ship stuff was just ok though.
4:honor among thieves: Loved this episode and is my favorite end of all the franchise but I never was able to play as panda king in true episode and that’s kinda sad.
3: Flight Of Fancy: Used to be my favorite episode of all time but in the past year I’ve watched different views of the game and replayed a lot more and felt like cooper hanger just sucks. Loved Black Baron, Map, Gameplay, and bringing back Muggshot.
2. A cold Alliance: Amazing throughout and Loved Tsao’s fight. Story with bringing back Panda king will always be memorable. Loved the map and gameplay and all the levels.
1. Opera of Fear: My most favorite episode of the entire franchise. The music is the best in the series, my favorite boss Octavio, one of my favorite maps, amazing dialogue, and the best missions and minigames. I don’t think I’ve replayed an episode more than Opera and is so fun.
I’ve gotta say after making this list though I didn’t realize how hard it be to rank these episodes they’re all fun except for rumble down under.

I like the pirate level, I even liked the ship battles... but yeah I hated the travelling in the ship.

1. Dead men. I personally just love the pirate thematic and seamonsters although i am scared of sharks :'D.
2. Flying fancy( i played the games in finnish so i dont remember the english names). Loved the theme, the main villain, the plot twist and the flying missions. Hated the boat mission in the sewers xd.
And at the last spot comes in episode 4 just because some missons were really annoying and especially the main heist. In general i love the sly series.

6. Honour Among Thieves - Let's be honest, Sly 3 doesn't really have any bad episodes so, in the end, it just comes down to taste. The grand finale just wasn't as fun as the previous episodes in my book. I enjoyed the sequence as Sly going through the vault and seeing all his ancestors, but Dr M. boss fight paled in comparison to an earlier fight that I shall mention later, and I absolutely despise the Dimitri section.I do however, love the fact that every previous episode is the set up for this one job. It bookends the game very well and ties everything together quite neatly.
5. Rumble Down Under - I'm sorry, I just don't enjoy the setting of this episode too much. Sure the Australian outback is cool, but not at night. I think this would've worked better in a Billabong environment rather than the desert, but that's just me. I also think that the mask is a really boring antagonist and just seems kind of weird. The mask did give us giant Carmelita, and "that face" - definitely Sly's personal favourite episode. That said though, it does have some great moments like feeding the guards to the crocodile, and, of course, the Lemonade bar scene is just freaking awesome.
4. Dead Men Tell No Tales - Go to admit, I'm a sucker for anything pirate themed. So I actually really enjoyed this mission despite a lot of its flaws. The opening section is pretty unremarkable apart from the insult competition, but when it opens up after you get your ship I really enjoy it. To be honest, I just enjoy sailing around and actively hunting enemy ships. I had an obscene amount of money by the end of this mission. I also enjoyed the treasure hunting, again probably just because I love pirate stuff, and the Penelope's duel scene at the end was a nice throwback to old pirate movies. The one thing I truly hate about this mission is, you guessed it, the Dimitri underwater section... ugh.
3. Flight of Fancy - Honestly one of my favourite settings in any Sly game. The layout is just really well laid out and diverse: the town, the little wooded area, the castle, the farm, and the airfield. I also loved way that Bentley is so honest that we no way of winning, "we'll have to cheat". Setting all the teams against each other by framing and sabotage is absolutely hilarious, and it was pretty fun insulting Muggshot. "If ya ain't nuthin' nice to say, don't say nuthin' at all", "..." . The dogfighting and gliding from blimp to blimp were incredibly fun, and the fight against the Black Baron was decent as a finale.
2. An Opera of Fear - I'm also a sucker for the classic formula: in a pretty city, going up against a rival gang of crooks. There are just so many great bits in this episode, questioning Dimitri, the recital, the boat chase, cracking the painting codes, "alto alto bass bass", and getting The Murray back. Just the whole goal of this mission, to get Murray back gives it a bit of weight, like we can't get started without The Murray. The one tiny gripe I have with this episode is that it's trying just a little bit too hard to be Paris from Sly 2. Don't know if I'm the only one who thinks that but, as I said, it's only a small issue.
1. A Cold Alliance - I think that we can all agree that this is the best episode can't we? General Tsao is the one who really makes this episode what it is, and easily ranks as one of the best villains in the whole series. He is, by far, one of the most evil and dangerous opponents the gang ever faced, having probably the best boss fight in the series and actually finding the gang's hideout. What other villain just completely ran rings around the gang like that? It also has the flashback scene to Panda King's past, and brings in a lot of tension between him and Sly. It is a shame that the tension isn't fully capitalised on, but you can't have everything I guess.The final fight against the dragon adds a nice and spectacular finish to the most interesting mission in the game. The one thing I really wouldn't be sorry to see go is that turret sequence.

I feel Sly 3 is very underrated. I actually love this game way more than 1 and 4 but not more than 2. As for my favorite Episode in this game, well that is episode 3, i absolutly loved the dog fighting part and i wish there was more

I think we all can agree that the Panda King is the most OP playable character in the series, with his Flame-Fu and fireworks every enemy is pretty much a one hit kill. And also he has the best looking binocucom of them all.

I get the pirate ship being a mixed bag just with the pirate theme. They tried to incorporate something new and different which all games should do. I don’t hate it I don’t love it, i was fine with it.

Sly cooper 3 was my first sly cooper game I played when I was in 6th grade in 2006.

I felt that the "Honor Among Thieves" episode was pretty meh. I agree that the water levels were sucky and such! But what got the "Meh" response for me is the story of Sly's Father and Dr.M's story.
I felt that it was lacking something! "Your father left us behind, so we split up and I became a vengeful villain and wanting my just rewards, blah blah blah!". I feel that there was MORE to this story, but there's no real truth behind it.
Like was Sly's Father REALLY a bad guy to his own friends and partners? What was their relationship as a team like? Why exactly did Dr.M leave the team? My theory is that MAYBE Dr.M DID get his revenge on Sly's Father...What if he found ClockWerk and told him about Connor Cooper?
I mean, how ELSE did ClockWerk knew where he and his family were at on the night Sly lost his Dad? Yeah, Connor might've been hiding where no one, not even ClockWerk himself would know where they were. Until Dr.M relays the info to said villain, in exchange for wealth and even the possessions of the Cooper Family. This MIGHT be how Dr.M got the map to Kaine Island, WHERE the Cooper Treasure Vault was being held!
As Sly mentioned, Dr.M was still at the vault for YEARS, trying to break into it, because the only thing he never got his hands on was the cane!
Also, him being "Surprised" about the fact that Sly was on the island, but just says "Oh I had Sweeny on my side and tricked you into coming to the island." plan. HOW does THAT make any sense!? Sweeny was in prison for YEARS because he turned himself in, so Dr.M NOR even Connor Cooper knew where exactly the prison Sweeny was held in was at, unless the place was mentioned in the papers, but that's not the point.
Dr.M's bitterness at Connor's recognition may be what made the villain very jealous: Connor had the skills and the abilities as a thief, while Dr.M had the brains and the abilities to hack into any computers and securities and Sweeny had the strength and fighting abilities to take down the same number of enemies as Murray did in the Prague Prison.
That's EXACTLY like that one fan comic someone made, where Sly asked ClockWerk how he's going to be able to be a "Master Thief" when he's a HUGE mechanical owl that's about as big as a building!
If the Sly Cooper Trilogy EVER got a remaster/reboot, then I hope this questionable ploy about Dr.M's hate to the Cooper Gang is cleared up properly.
I recall saying the same exact thing regarding Dr. M and the vault!!! A deal could've been made with the owl: a map of the vault in exchange for Connor's whereabouts OR the Thievius Racconus. Sly Cooper has so much potential storywise.
