That was a nice build, and I enjoyed watching. For those of us that weld, this is an attainable project. The angled square stock that supports the cross pieces, you could cap those with black plastic caps, or weld them closed. You could consider adding some rubber to the angle, so there's less bang when you drop your dumbbells down.
I had a cheap dumbbell rack idea where I just bought a dumbbell rack from walmart and replaced the bars with 3/4-in long bars from home depot. Walmart sells a cheap rack for maybe about $35 then you spend and extra 30 maybe on some really long 3/4" bars and jam them right in the round holes. Honestly the bars will barely fit so they dont move, hell I even sold it and made a profit.
That’s a great idea. This project is definitely not cheap (metal is sky high right now) But I enjoy building things and making them to my exact liking even if it’s not the most cost effective. I’m not suggesting everyone does the same, I’m just sharing something I love to do and take pride in. Thanks for commenting!
I was definitely worried about that at first. But come to find out the sucker is heavy. You really have to put your weight into it to make it roll. Especially on gym mats. Thanks for asking
Well done. Great stuff 👍👍
I appreciate that. Thanks for watching!

I appreciate that a lot! Really like the idea of adding rubber to the angle. Thanks for watching.
that's a very impressive 3 tier dumbbell rack !,,,,,, I wish I had your talent (welding),,,,,
Hey thanks for watching! All it takes is a machine, few tools, and RUclips videos and you'll be on your way.
Well done nice project mate 👍🏻🙂
I appreciate that man. Thanks for watching and commenting

It’s it’s awesome when you have a small area to work with

Heaviest should be on the top shelf
Awesome rack! What is the distance between your shelves and what angle are they at?
Thank you! I have another video of the process in more detail. I explain how I got my angle. Check it out.
Yeah, but wouldn't that roll when you didn't want it to?

Where did u purchase the tubing?
I got it from a friend of mine but you can purchase at any metal supply company.
hi very nice can you share measurements pls
Thanks for watching. I've got another video that is more of a walk through with measurements. Check that one out.
Would ya consider building it to sell?
One day I'd love to do that! Not in the cards for me right now. Just curious, would you be interested in buying?
Its a great build but not much help since you dont tell the dimensions or what material or anything!!!
Damn and I just paid 1500 for a Fray fitness dumbell rack. I should learn to weld
Oh wow. How many dumbbells does it hold? Must be a huge rack!
