He seems such a warm and genuine person and speaks with such emotion about the book, the characters and the whole shooting process that makes me love the movie even more 😊
This movie was incredible! Will definitely be watching it again many times over. I thought it captured humanity and the human condition so well, I love relatable characters and authentic love stories.
i absolutely LOVED this movie completely! Saw it 3 times already and am going to watch it again. What an AWESOME cast, perfectly done. Super happy that I was able to watch it... :)
Just watched this film on Netflix, loved it.. I have only discovered this actor and seem to be seeing him in a few things recently. He was also in the Irish film The Last Rites.
It’s so so crazy that it actually is one of those films that you keep watching ocer and over!! i’ve seen it now probably 5 timea, at least!! and I don’t know what it is about it! but it just has this feeling that makes me well, feel!🙈😍it does something to me. the story around the occupation, around litterateur, hope and their silent romance! it’s like a comfort for me🥹❤️Glad other people feel the same way about it. I liked the book too but the film has that feel to it I can’t re explain.
@@sarahsimoneabacka4408same. It doesn't happen to me often, but as soon as i finished watching I wanted to watch it again. Just lovely and beautiful and soul-healing. It has this wholesomeness to it, but at the same it's interesting enough to rewatch again and again. Oh, and it's filled with longing which is my favourite romance trope.
@@sarahsimoneabacka4408 I agree! **Spoiler Alert** When it became clear that Juliet was going back to Guernsey, I was so happy that she would be reunited with her new friend, Isola. And how romantic to see a storyline between two people who only share a kiss towards the end of the move, but still had great chemistry together throughout. It warmed my heart that Kit had a second mother in Juliet after they both lost their own Mums so tragically.
@@ellelgreen3757 I agree with you. I just watched this movie for the first time...for some reason I missed it when it was first released. **Spoiler Alert** When Mark returned to the table to kiss Juliet so sweetly on the head goodbye, I actually felt sorry for him that he had lost her. But then he reached over like a jerk and took the bottle of champagne with him. I loved this movie, and it will definitely become one of those classics that I revisit time and time again.
I LOVED this movie. I will be watching it again.... and again.
Where did you watch it? Is it in cinemas now?
Netflix
How come I can’t find this movie on my Netflix list?
It's still on mine in the USA. Make sure you spell it right!
I watched it on Netflix
Watching this interview, I couldn’t help but think that Huisman's voice would be perfect for narrating an audiobook.
Tout ā fait d'accord

Loved it, loved it, loved it, loved it!! Going to watch it over and over again. One of the classics for the ages. Michiel was perfect
I stumbled upon this movie by accident and I’m so glad I did. Wonderful movie with excellent acting and cinematography. Highly recommend it!
I read the book and it's so different than the movie but I love them both. I religiously watch it every week. Michiel is damn gorgeous.

I am surprised to hear he talks in an American accent! He is quite talented and convincing in the movie as an native islander on Guernsey
I really like his English, you can hear bits of British and North American speech and some of his Dutch roots. It's a really cool hybrid :).
You can hear his Dutch accent coming through more than American!
He has a very good voice coach.
@@rosiealvis2770 No you can't.
In a previous interview, (maybe for The Age of Adaline) he talks about the years he spent perfecting an American accent with a voice coach.
Just a wonderful movie that all of the actors can be proud of for the rest of their lives!!! A Classic!!!
Love this actor, and the Guernsey book and movie.

Wow he seems so genuine and lovely!!
He really seems to be. Also impish, relaxed and very sexy and sensual.
And those dimples!
Duch people genuinely are kind people. So I hear
Gorgeous man

Omg kinda off topic but I was so excited to hear about him reading “my brilliant friend” bc that is my favorite book
Omg, he looks so different at any hairstyle.
I’m glad they made the film .
Thought he had a Guernsey accent !!! Well he is dutch and knows his languages and accents. Great film.
So READYYYYY!
Handsomeeee
Please want more of this movie much more just love the whole cast except Eduard meats lol
I love the movie 😍😍😍😍
Damnnnn! 😍
ok I DID NOT expect his lack of accent lol
Me either!
He is very handsome hihihi

I get that I was supposed to be on the side of the emo pig farmer, but long-term I was rooting for Mark.
Maybe Mark had money and status, but he was smug and had a tendency to be controlling. I wasn'f rooting for him.
I kinda was too, such debate lol. Mark was more modern and wanted a city life. Meanwhile, Juliet felt that world was not for her.
