Just Another Weekend - 20" of powder in 36 hrs at Steamboat

A nice surprise in February 2015 as Steamboat picked up a foot the night before we arrived and another 8" the following morning. It was good snow, too... knee-deep denser powder on the first day followed by a nice thick topping of the light and fluffy on day two. Ideal conditions for flotation!
We spent most of Saturday in Morningside Park until we decided to sample the goods around front in the double black Christmas Tree Bowl. We quickly realized the double blacks were the place to be and we rode all day Sunday in No Names, North St. Pats, and the East Face. With that much powder, these runs were incredibly enjoyable. Best skiing experience for me to date!
