I don’t have a riding channel, sorry. Thanks for the comment about the cooler! Back in 2002 I bought a trailer from “Bushtec” and it included a hitch install. Years later I bought a rack that utilizes the hitch and can carry the cooler you saw. It works great! Now for the problem, Bushtec has closed.
Had a great time riding with you guys again! This run has been a goal of mine for years, and I’m glad I was able to make it with you two! Looking forward to the next one!
Rode this highway about a month ago. Much of the road has deteriorated and gravel slows the rider down. Otherwise very beautiful, especially the last couple of legs.
Great video. Been to all those places on my Africa Twin. You discovered the hard way that the Nation was closed on weekends last year due to Covid .keep the content coming
I've done it twice. Coming down on a R65 BMW and going up on a K75 BMW. It is better going up under power. Stay at Hannigans Meadow - a 1926 log hotel. A great ride - better than Tail of the Dragon. Very little 4 wheel traffic and less police presence. The Morinci mine at the bottom is surreal. I don't believe it suitable for a big Harley - my opinion.
I’ve done this ride many times . Not as scenic as taking the Beeline Hwy to Lake Mary Rd back down Oak Creek Canyon/Sedona to Jerome over Mingus Mtn into Prescott down through Skull Valley and back on the Carefree Hwy.
You are both troopers to endure that last day in the cold rain. I'll always pack rain gear from now on - even inexpensive top and bottom - to be prepared. Thanks for sharing your ride!
Thx for sharing. Sorry to see rain dampen your trip...No fun:( This was my fav road/ride while living in AZ from 1997-2003. I used to stay in Alpine (only downfall was food options).
If you don’t pack your rain gear, it’s a certainty that it’s gonna rain - a lot. I ride in AZ winters and MN summers, and I use my rain gear and heated gear in AZ way more than I ever have in MInnesota. Beautiful ride and great footage!
Thanks for the positive feedback. We now make sure we have packed our rain gear and we recently purchased heated gear that we are excited to try out. Hope you stick around for more adventures!
I very much enjoyed your video, the production values were spot on and the drone footage was beautiful as well. A couple of points, while the chicken sandwich in the Pinewood Tavern might be great (I haven’t tried one yet) they served me and my riding buddy the worst baby back ribs either of us has ever eaten. Also as a fourth generation native of Greenlee county I will tell you the only folks who call it the Devils Highway or the Coronado Trail Scenic Byway are tourists. Long time residents of the area call it the Coronado Trail or most often just The Trail. As in “did you go up The Trail yesterday?”. I was in my fourties before I ever heard it called the Devils Highway, although I do understand that has much more cache. Anyway again I did enjoy your video and will look for more.
Thank you for the feedback. We are definitely tourists, lol! It was such a beautiful ride, our favorite in AZ. Thanks for warning me about the baby back ribs. Next time in Pine try that grilled chicken sandwich and you should not be disappointed.
I was riding around southwest NM, and met a guy that told me about the Devil’s Highway. This was a few years ago, and I have ridden it numerous times since. That 120 mile stretch of road is my favorite grin-producing road in the country, and I have seen some country. In 2019 my Connie and I did over 22,000 miles through 34 states and 4 Canadian provinces, on roads like Hwy. 1 from Northern California to the Canadian border, the Alcan highway to Alaska, Top of the World highway into the Yukon, the entire length of Skyline Drive and the Blue Ridge Parkway, the Tail of the Dragon(again), and thousands of miles of those squiggly red lines on the map, usually in close proximity to mountains. The Devil’s Highway has Tail of the Dragon beat by a long shot. Great scenery, good pavement, no LE, very little 4 wheeled traffic, and enough curves to make your shoulders ache, especially if you ride from Alpine to Clifton and back in the same day.
We would have to agree! We just rode the Alcan to Ak and Top of the World Highway. The Dalton to Deadhorse wore us out! Currently in Anchorage and getting ready to head back to the lower 48. I have riden Tail of the Dragon, BRP, and Skyline as well and Devils Highway is the best. Alpine to Clifton and back in one day sounds very tiring!
@@wrongwayro960 Lol, I saw you. It was quite memorable because no one else waves that high. It seemed like you were definitely trying to get my attention. It worked! Enjoy the Dalton. Safe travels.
the devils highway is originally route 666, located in new mexico now us highway 491, it was called 666 because it was the 6th us highway routing off us 66.
@@LivinLifeLoud i am correct i used to live off of us 666 when it was actually named us 666 from gallup nm to cortez co. people used to steal the signs.
Just rode 191 on May 13, 2023. Lost of loose grave and road. Would be a great ride if Arizona would clean the road.
That’s Buck has a RUclips channel as well?? That cooler setup is soooo sick!!! Keep the good content!!!

Fantastic job folks. Planning my own ride on the Coronado, and your travels have aided in my planning. Thank you

Live just north of Camp Verde and I never heard that Payson, Globe, Alpine and Show Low loop called the Devils highway. Learn something new everyday.

Fantastic road, when I rode it last the loose gravel was a bit tricky. Great video
Thanks Donal.
Great video guys! If it's easy and comfortable it's probably not an adventure!
Great point!
One of the best rides so far(2018)
Great channel! So many places to see on motorcycles!
Yes indeed!
Awesome footage 👍💯
Thank you!
100%. Great video footage. It’s all why we ride. Nice job out there gang. Ride safe and ride often. Life’s short. Just buy the bike. Peace
Thanks for the great feedback and be safe!
We wav d at you yesterday right by Yakima! I was leading and raised my arm really high.
And you waved right back real high, Joy! On our way up up up the Dalton.

Hey any good spot in this area for car photography?
I'm planning a ride for May including some of the same areas. Would you be willing to share your map?
This ride took place on Arizona 260, 188, 70., and of course, 191!
666😂 DOZEN AZ NOW IT'S CALLED 191
What time of year did you do this trip?
This ride took place at the end of October. Thanks for watching!
Less of the camera pointed at you more road the only reason I watch 😢
