Found this video by accident...i am absolutely gobsmacked by the footage.
I am a Brechin City fan living in Leeds all my life....in 1968 i was given the Topical times football annual for christmas and in there was an article about Brechin City’s famous hedge and from that day when i was eight I have been a Brechin fan as have my family and friends.
I have spent six hours watching your videos today and am looking forward to watch more in the coming weeks.
    Enjoyed watching immensely 👍

Hi mate, thanks so much for the kind comments! That's a funny story about how you became a Brechin supporter and it's pretty amazing that they're famous for a hedge of all things! Cheers for watching my videos, glad you enjoy them. More coming soon!

Just seen your Angus videos and as a gable ender living in Sheffield , it made me homesick. Lunan Bay was looking beautiful. Me and the Mrs drove up to the final game of the season when we clinched promotion a couple of seasons ago. I will never forget the helicopter landing at the beach with the trophy. We even got to celebrate on the pitch with the players. A great day ( even better night) in the long history of Montrose. Come on the Gable Endies

Lovely Angus, a beautiful county.and what a beautiful & charming ground. Way back in the late 60’s I played in the under 18 boys club league & in the following season in the Juvenile League, the league was based in Perth and the local area, and Cooper Angus Juveniles also played in this league. The reason I mention this is myself & Peter Doig were reckoned to be the best goalkeepers in our league, the year before joining the Juveniles we were both selected for the areas Under 18 Boys Club team. I heard that Peter went on to play for Brechin. If anyone knows him say a big hello from me, I used to play for Strathearn Rovers & then briefly for Letham Juveniles, end of 1969. Great memories

Brechin gets to call itself by the ancient precedent of having a cathedral. It is, in fact, a biggish village, scarcely a town. The most extreme case of cathedral = city is St. Davids in Wales. It's on about a fifth the size of Brechin, but it has a cathedral.

Angus has such beautiful little towns that just seem so homely and welcoming, definitely a place worth revisiting. It's sad that Brechin have since been relegated and might miss out on promotion back to League Two this season, although it is a pretty tight race with Buckie Thistle.

Just found your videos and they are very enjoyable. Glad to find more people who love Scottish football and are not acutally Scottish. I'm from northern Ireland and support Inverness caley thistle so would love to see a video on them one day. I'll also plug my own countries league and if you ever find yourself in northern Ireland in sure our league would be getting interesting to you. We have one of the oldest leagues in the world here with tons of history and famous old grounds. My own club here is called glentoran and we have a very old stadium called the oval. It's in desperate need of repair but we love it. It's very popular with ground hoppers the world over

Angus, God’s country. Weather like this is not unusual, it’s one of the coldest parts of the UK but also one of the driest. Arbroath has one of the best natural pitches in the country, Forfar did too but went 3G as the pitch never floods but does freeze a lot. Montrose recently replaced their first artificial pitch with a newer more modern one. Brechin’s pitch is much improved now but was terrible for a while and didn’t drain well at all.
I hope you come back when times are normal and get into Links Park and Station Park, both clubs are as welcoming as Arbroath and Montrose, hopefully you also meet Dick Campbell who is Arbroath manager but had long spells managing Forfar and Brechin and is still loved at both clubs and is one the biggest characters in football anywhere in the world.

I fantastic video was hopeing you would give a bit of the history behind the hedge at Brechin City.
I know about how a City became a City & not a town because when I first started to go down to watch Carlisle United games I always wondered why Carlisle was a City & then I investigated the subject and like yourself found out that it ued to be in bygone days that to qualify as a City you need to have a Cathedral
but I have always thought if that is true why is Paisley in Renfrewshire a Town & not a City when it has a Cathedral I dont know the answer to that one though all I know it though the decades there has been many a campaign to get Paisley granted City status but without it ever comeing to anything.
In Elderslie whare the village whare I am originally from we have many things named after William Wallace
there even ued to be a Elderslie Wallace boys. football. club when I was growing up but I have asked many English people if they have ever herd of William Wallace & most reply no never herd of him or they just know the name from Braveheart.
    Watched
Santa Fe, from Bogotá Columbia take
    on Deportivo Independiente Medellín
From Liga BetPlay Dimayor late last night.
Santa Fe is the third locality of Bogotá, Capital District of Colombia. Santa Fe is part of the traditional downtown of the city of Bogotá, the area where the city was founded by Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada on August 6, 1538. This area once comprised Bogotá's total main urban area and was known as "Santa Fe de Bogotá" with its traditional neighbourhoods.
& Medellín is the second largest city in
    Colombia.
It would be fantastic one day in the future if you where able to vist some club in South America.
    I would highly recommend
The Oval in Belfast home of Glentoran for a vist that is an extremely historic football ground
with bags of history as has the area of East Belfast it is in plus it has some spectacular views when I last over Glentoran where away to Cliftonville but I was still able to walk right in and stand on the open terraces.
Keep Safe Sam & keep up the good work download One Football app to my tablet yesterday after watching your video that's how much I like your Channel hopefully it go's someway to them continueing to Sponsor your video.

@@FootyAdventures Sounds familiar. I once left Dundee as my GF at the time was from Portsmouth. Definitely better for you going North than me going south though :)

Would never move south the north is more friendly. Should have built a wall at the start of yorkshire and had a propper north South devide.

@@FootyAdventures I feel a whole lot better there is someone apart from me who is a stadium geek. My partner used to say I was sad buying the aerofilms guide to stadiums every year . Women will never understand there is something magical about old stadiums with history and wierd locations like in the middle of a housing estate, or in a different town to their name. Keep up the awsome videos, and if your ever in Leeds come say hi to the other official geek.
