  • "Katyusha" is a Russian of Soviet era folk-based song and military march composed by Matvey Blanter in 1938, with lyrics written by the Soviet poet Mikhail Isakovsky. It gained fame during World War II as a patriotic song, inspiring the population to serve and defend their land in the war effort. It is one of the most popular communist/socialist songs of all time.
This video features Katyusha in every single available language on RUclips.

as an Italian I can tell you that the song belonged to the red partisans, it's a long story. but remember that the red partisans are the communists of Italy, while the white or blue partisans are the Italian ones who wanted to put an end to the fascist occupation. (the partisans had bands of a different color). the red partisans are communists. and bella ciao is dedicated to all partisans. but unfortunately for political reasons the song has become a symbol of the Italian left (communists)
