Glad I could brighten your day, all a while getting my NUTS OFF!! 🥜 Haha, thanks for watching brian. PS, if it's more than the commute that is miserable - you can definitely do something about it (you are watching me do the same!)
Thank you too, appreciate the view. Got the shock out the following weekend and it was even better with a few more clicks. More of that this weekend...
Is it a direct fit? The rmz250 KYB to the 450? I read somewhere you had to swap the bottom clevis?? Some say direct fit? Also, I see two different rmz250 shock part numbers spanning 2019 to 2023. I would imagine insignificant? I think 2019 to 2021 is one number and 2022 to 2023 is another part number. Thanks
Chase Sexton doing so well with the BFRC makes a good case for the shock being good. Think the hate is about it being different and people not being used to it. Could also be it only works if you ride at that level but unlikely.
You're right. I tend to think that when things are unknown or new, people struggle with them. Adam C was using it in supercross as well on his Kawasaki. However, those are both Works Showa units and probably share next to nothing but the shape with production stuff. Definitely a great shock in the right application!
Not working for the average joe is a death sentence to the shock imho. Gotta sell units to be a commercial success. Even if it works for racers , it means its sweet spot is too small which is bad .
So grateful! just took out my shock for service following your video👌🏻Just one doubt, What torque spec do you recommend for the shock bolts up and down one🙏 I forgot sharpie the upper one 😅
The sag should of been set before it was taken to the track Then all you have to do is slight changes on the clickers More speed is needed to test for twitching or bucking it's not a fair test after 3 corners find a more experienced rider similar Weight to set it up for ya then miner adjustments for yourself
@@mxrevival what more is to be had on the bfrc rear shock . I have a 2018 lowers link and a revalve and it works great but if there's more I can do I want to hear about it 👍
@@josephforcino6399 besides aftermarket valving and springs, all you can do is adjust it and that’s as good as it will get. It’s definitely not as good as most modern bikes out there.
I’m really curious what PC did technically to get the BFRC to work well? Obviously they revalved it but it’d be super interesting to see the BFRC internals before and after Pro Circuit reworked it.
So in theory you can shim the BFRC shock installed on the bike? because it looks that you can screw out the big shimstack silver "nut", IF of course everything sits ON the "nut"?
As a non-professional suspension tuner, I would imagine you'd lose oil but I do understand what you mean. There are some pretty good videos from MX Tech on the shock actually taken apart that might answer this question better 😎
Do you have to get the shock re valved and sprung for the 250 shock? I’m about to order the shock and debating on giving it a go with just oem set up not sending it out (trying to now spend a fortune )
Ultimately, you will spend the money on getting it redone. It’s valved for a lighter motorcycle to begin with, but no harm in trying it. In this video, it was freshly rebuilt and evolved by Pro Circuit. Truth be told I didn’t know it until recently, but I had some damaged cartridge seals inside the forks. So the true test of the shock couldn’t really shine through until those got fixed. Well, I can say that after getting the cartridge seals, replaced and rebounding properly, the 250 shock in the 450 is amazing. I really like the BRC as well, after being valved as well. But the 250 shock will outshine it still. Plus, it looks trick 😁 I recommend sending it straight in, getting it dialed in for your bike, riding ability, and weight. Make sure to send the forks in with it as well! It will be some of the best money you’ve ever spent on any motorcycle. Saver, faster, more predictable.. all of that adds up to more confidence and speed on the track
What torque spec do you recommend for the pro circuit linkage on the rmz450? Just installed mine today and having a hard time finding solid info on a torque spec.
Where did you get those CMT parts? I notice you gotta pay a lot in shipping if you live here in the states :( I want some of them carbon CMT side plate guards so I can stop tearing my graphics up lol.
I just ordered them straight from CMT 👊 it was a while ago so not sure if shipping has gotten worse since then but it's very possible. I may also have a line on some clear plastic ones for you, reach out anytime if you would like me to double check: www.mxrevival.com/contact

Clear, concise, well done. I know this is a popular mod for the 450, for those who can not find a good setting for the BFRC.
