Evolution of the Sauber Mercedes C9 '89 in Gran Turismo

- All of the Sauber Mercedes C9 '89 appearances in Gran Turismo, except GT Sport because I don't have enough room on my PS4 to redownload it, nor do I have 8 hours to wait for it to redownload and does it even work since the servers are offline? Anyways, GT7 and Sport are pretty much the same in terms of sound and graphics...on PS4 anyway!
The Sauber is unlocked in GT4 by winning the Formula 1 Championship, at least in the European version, which I completed that event today, April 21st 2024. So to celebrate I uploaded this video! ...But it was a nightmare to make! I was all driven out lol
Obviously, to me, GT4 and PSP had the best sounding engine. It shares its sound in those games with the Toyota GT-One, so there's really no contest! GT7 is nice, but 5&6...no.
And is it just in my gameplay that the Sauber got SO much worse in GT7. This car was a BEAST in the earlier games, but it performs so badly in GT7. Other cars around its time like the R92CP, XJR9 and 787B still run fine. IDK. I still like it anyway!
Yeah I think for GT7 they used a the nurburgring spec Sauber C9, which is why it’s slower. But fully tuned the C9 is a beast like the rest of them.
I know its your opinion but damn the GT4 sound is soo lazy. Didnt even try to make it sound somewhat realistic and just copy and pasted the GT One
I disagree with it not being a beast in GT7. It’s still monstrously fast and easy to control, and is the second best behind the R92CP.
@@reekid_ace Maybe to use, but the CPU was where I was basing that statement off of, and they are awful with this car. But it's still not as great as it used to be.
The Sauber in gt4 sounded the best. Loved that sound, and the Toyota gt one.

Car is nice but I hate the sound in the 1st games as it is supposed to be a roaring V8 engine. The engine Sauber Mercedes is using is:

Like in a game called Automobilista 2, there the car sounds amazing. GT7 sound is way better than any other so far in GT franchise but I would still love to hear more of that V8 engine roar being bit more aggressive.
Ah yes. The mosquito sounds in Gran Turismo 5 and 6 😅
They really liked that engine sound effect back in the GT5/6 days 🥲
Fully tuned Sauber C9 in GT7 especially with nitrous is one of the best engine sounds in the series
Sauber C9 in GT7 is easily the best. It actually sounds like the real car compared to the rest, especially 5 & 6.
Since Gran Turismo 4 Toyota GT-ONE TS020 & Sauber Mercedes C9 are same engine sound 🔊

Not exactly the same. Very similar. But there were subtle difference. They were my favourite sounding cars and I remember comparing them.
Don't get me wrong, I'm aware that the GT4 sound hasn't nothing with the real one, but I always loved it for some reason

Seems like Ayumu Uehara's Sauber C9 in Gran Turismo 7 even with full upgrade and a nitrous, its constantly outperformed by even Gr. 2 and most of Gr.1 cars.
I’ve beaten tons of cars with the C9 in GT7 probably just need to be better at driving
Why did it take PD until GTSport to give this wonderful, historic car anything remotely similar to its REAL exhaust sound?
Loved this car in real life so when it made its debut in Gran Turismo, you can imagine my disgust at the PD standard catalogue sound given to it.
How does the psp manage to keep looking better than the ps2??
