It was largely black African, black African Muslim slave traders selling other tribes to everyone else.
It was the way of the world for thousands of years.
The Slavs were subjected to slavery by many and it is where the English word for "slave" is derived from.
The Ottoman empire had European slaves.
The Irish were subject to slavery of sorts even in the early United States.
Various "Native" American tribes had slaves among themselves and among other peoples.

Let me say this again. As a believer in Jesus Christ in the Scriptures, I love your website and all of the great, hard scientific information you have available. The information contained in the book “traced“ needs to get out but to my mind it is buried in “scientific-eze“ that makes it hard for the layman to get to the main point, which is of course the truth of scripture. Science is never going to be convinced no matter how much forensic data is brought to their attention, and I think your energy would be better spent in short summaries to the believers. You can still have deep long discussions on the science, but I fear this information is going over the heads of millions. Great stuff!

So far what you've discussed is pretty spot on for what I've believed for years.
Although I might have to reevaluate the avg skin tone which I've always thought that eventually my descendants would have a slightly darker skin tone than I do.
I know this is a little far from the part where you had a photo of the middle eastern guide and the tourist.
The woman on the left I believe is the tourist. Why she has the more anglicized facial features plus the sunglasses on the head. The woman on the right I believe to be the guide because she has more Mediterranean facial features.
Your wife also has more Mediterranean features plus the curly hair.

Mid-Atlantic slave trade is not real event. Who brought 12 mil slaves to the America's and if so who did they work for? Also if you will remember their where all types of wars between colonial powers during that time so who had time, energy man power, and money to have this robust slave trade and fight all wars on different fronts. I believe like that them fallacy of different races is wrong, but to perpetuate any body of Swarty complexion has to originate from Africa is wrong all the way around. Also "African Decent" is not the the same as "African Ancestry"... P.S. DNA test are for entertainment purposes only...read small print

I've been listening to each episode looking for some kind of bombshell. All I have really heard is "what if's" and "consider the possibility of," etc etc. It is very reminiscent of how evolution supporters share their information, therefore, unless there is some good information coming in the next episodes, it does more to damage the message than to support it, in my humble opinion. The lessons on genetics are reasonable, but ... I am not getting any new info.

The premise began on “enslaved” “blacks”, who would not be moving about freely in society. It doesn’t change the “possibility” presentable in probabilities, but the AVAILABILITY of a “black” (likely female) is dramatically reduced, so the impacts are much more minimized, in my assessment. Looking at the mixture of peoples in the U.S., two observations historically can present similar obstructions. First, at the outset, much of our population originated from a small (area wise) source location, by ship, from England/Ireland/Scotland and west coastal Europe. In many areas, as settlement advanced, our ancestry tended to collect themselves with peoples from the same original source area. History taught them to collect to help maintain protection and, likely, to try to perpetuate a life that would most closely copy the world/customs they left behind. Perpetuating language comes to mind. Similarly, and most prominently with English ancestry, the source populations had already tended to push a centralized ancestry pool because of limited mobility of that population. I would suspect much of the early U.S. population was closely related.

@@NannyMAU Yes, Hebrew, Israelites, and Jews - I was using the term "Jewish" here as a generic term. Since the Temple was in Judah and they are the only remaining of the tribes. Strictly in the context of the nation of Israel which was intended to be an insular tribe which would take NO wives outside of it's nation and people and live strictly by god's law to demonstrate life under his law to the nations. This was to prevent the cultures of neighboring countries to be adopted into Israel, which did end up occurring anyways as they broke the lord's covenant.
We are no longer under that covenant.

I have a serious objection to your numbers in this presentation.
It appears that you make the assumption that if a person has any African parentage, then they belong to the 68% African-Descent, leaving those without any African parentage at 32%. But the huge majority of people with African parentage would still have a much higher level of Caucasian parentage. Your analysis does not account for this... Hence the African appearance disappears over time.
