Great battles here. As someone who’s loved and listened to a lot of music in my 55 years on this big ball … the tonal quality of your playing is outstanding. You have an incredible ear for riffs man and your humor is just a side bonus. Reminds me of my all time favorite guitarist SRV … sure there’s more technical people, but his soul and tonal quality was out of this world. Keep slapping bro you rock. 🤙

I have spent the last 50+ years travelling around Asia, and if you are looking for the pub with the best music for the night, find the one with the Filipino band. Totally professional musicians that mostly do nothing but covers of a particular type of music, but do it so well you could close your eyes and think the original artist(s) were there doing it. Not surprised at all they have some great bass players.

Not surprised Davie found plenty of great bassist. Just about every tv show I have seen about music in the Philippines describes Filipinos, I mean Filipeians as amazing musicians and extreme fast learners. I recall Anthony Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown” episode from the Philippines. The band members he interviewed said they needed to learn new songs as soon as they’re released so they are ready to play at a club, etc. 🙂✋

Davie, as much as you pretend to be the Devil, you’re an angel in disguise. Thank you for giving all of these inconsequential (for now) bass players a platform from which to grow from. Bass players are progressing at such a rapid rate- it is much more percussive and technical than during any previous era, and I want to thank you for helping to shine a light on these people, especially those incredibly talented musicians that weren’t lucky enough to be born in America. Keep doing what you’re doing- keep shining the light! But it’s okay to keep pretending to be an Ass*hole. It gets you views, and making yo7 $$$. And no matter what - you’re doing God’s work, and it doesn’t matter which ‘God’ you believe in. Keep spreading the love, brother.
