Several things on this episode. Watching someone else's Grain. It looks like the little remotes are keyed somehow to a specific Grain. So, you cannot use your remote to dig through someone's memories. I would say that the "higher end" Grains would even be resistant to hackers looking. The way that the Grains are totally integrated into society is much more alarming than it first appears. Liam is being considered for a promotion. The executives need to look at his Grain memories for the last quarter. Are they just looking at his performance at work during working hours? Or are they looking at EVERYTHING he ahs done, on and off the clock, for the last three months? TSA reviewing your Grain for the last 24 hours when you board a plane. I guess security? But, also very invasive and nosy from our standpoint. Is this supposed to block highjackers and terrorists? Because if they look back 24 hours, just don't have a big planning mission within 24 or more of the planned event. Using the Grain to pay for every purchase. That's just Government tracking of your expenditures, with more surgery. And, the worst, most horrible thing? When the nice young woman who was mugged and mutilated calls the police because her boyfriend is being seriously assaulted. The dispatcher HUNG UP on her when she found out she did not have a Grain.
Jonas is not her boyfriend .. Jonas is just a guy who she has a one night stand with. She was Jonas' backup plan when Liam sent Jonas away after inviting him. Which was btw 1000% something he did because of Fi, later you can see it from Liam's POV and Fi clearly wants to keep hanging out with Jonas.
Loved your reaction, thank you for sharing. I agree that this is an excellent episode. In your discussion after the episode, you have no idea how many points you touched on that are in future BM episodes, can't wait to see those reactions. Please continue, IMO there are only a couple of sub-par episodes (you have already encountered one of them) through the four seasons. The rest are just great thought provoking TV.
Stewart B thank you!! :D I'm really glad you're enjoying our reactions! Honestly, the more I watch, the more I get captivated by the episodes (the first two of series two were brilliant imo) and I really hope you'll like our discussions for those as well ;)
@@kyuujinreactsI’m the same way! It’s a habit because when I’m talking to someone I want to physically engage with them so I’m constantly looking at people during movies when talking and turning my body toward them 😅 it drives everyone crazy but I just wanna connect! 🤭
Good reaction. I've been watching different reactions of Black Mirror episode's from different people. You both did a good job. And to the blonde one, you don't walk too much. It's good that you're starting a dialogue with your friend or whatever she is to you.
She does talk too much and misses loads as a result. Talking briefly, now and again is expected and is fine but most analysis is best left until the end, otherwise too much is missed. It's as if she's constantly desperate for a reaction, to her reaction.
"He's right, but he's observingly right!!!" Yeah, but he was right and right nonetheless in finding out the truth, which this technology is partly based on. But there are too many catch 22s and rabbit holes and evil people out there that would use this to break, maime, even kill people just because they don't like or agree with them. And, let's not talk about the ethical and moral dilemma this would cause. Whew!!!!!! Great episode. Very good reaction!
Please keep making more Black Mirror reviews plz :-) So Glad I subscribed to this channel :-) Its really awesome to see your reactions to the episodes and hear your opinions about them! Plus your both incredibly cute too :-)
Very pleasant surprise! Just came out of working for all night so now I can watch this lol. Looking forward to more episodes, I think you guys have good commentary! Though personally I think Black Mirror series 4 is not so stimulating with ideas, it gets a bit watered down... edit- and for the record, this was one of my favourite episodes, very well made and powerful.
I love how you said that Liams paranoia would drive her away. Women always say things like this. It turns out that Liams paranoia was entirely justified. Not only did she cheat on him but the child he loves and has brought up as his own isn't even his either. Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean you're wrong.
Why keep the chip if you can turn it off? So that you can analyze memories. It’s like the Pensieve from Harry Potter. If you want to cast away memories, just painlessly delete them. If you’re worried about privacy, the chipped people around you are all cameras anyway. The top unknown here is the guv. What are the legal consequences of taking out the chip, especially in state-sanctioned security/surveillance?
When u're only shown this one thing (that in fact turns out to be true) then u cant really call him obsessive and jealous , because u dont know if he was like this before with his wife do you?? Cause it makes sense to act like this if u f`ing feel it in ur bones that something is wrong . U dont hear his wife ever saying something that makes us think he's an obsessive/jealous man usually.. that is never implied ! Its funny to see some women go at the guy tho` .. lol !!

The fact that he was right the entire time. My heart breaks for him every time I watch.

The blonde one stops watching while she is talking and misses a lot of things.
Elle Keener I'll work on that ;)

Access to baby memories would be awesome tho. Let's see if Dad left some clues on what grocery store he went to
You wont be able to hack it as it wont be connected to the internet, aslong as it is a single seperated unit then its safe.
It’s to much I would say no

Less talking, more watching.
Reaction videos wouldn’t be any good if they didn’t talk.
