THE VDR STOPPED RECORDING? RIGHT WHEN THE SHIP TURNED TO THE PYLON??? Someone make me better about this please.
Sending prayers to the families💔
11 Bridge items now and counting.
Any other news ?
How far did the ship travel without power?
9.2 mph times 4 minutes
@@user-hj9dh6cx9o 4 minutes is 1/15 of an hour. 1/15 of 9.2 is .6 (.613333) [mph]. So a little over 3/5 of a mile.
Though it slowed down a little close to the bridge, which would mean a somewhat lesser distance.
Seems to have been very roughly 3/5 of a mile. See post by user-hj9dh6cx9o, and my response to it, of how I arrived at that calculation.
edit: I think that post was taken down.
And how can it steer if there’s no power to turn the rudder?
@@concernedcitizen7385 poor maintenance or short cuts of course. That company is going to pay.
what a tragedy
Why did the bridge columns not have any significant "dolphin" bumpers installed for decades ?
Why have you not been asking that for decades?
I heard that The same vessel had hit a couple other bridges in the past
Eight year ago the Dali hit a loading pier (not a bridge) in Antwerp. I have not read about any other accidents.
Who ever making judgements doesnt know the Maritime industry 😅.
I’ve seen season 2 of The Wire also.
Something fishy going on.
