I am from Scotland and I am going to Mexico next year for a holiday and watch a lot of Spanish speaking shows on Netflix so have decided to start learning Latin American Spanish, this is the 1st channel that has got me to understand many things as it explained in depth, great channel thank you I hit subscribe
De nada. I’m so glad you found us! Thanks for your kind words. Don’t forget that you can find a lot of free resources to download at www.teachercatalina.com - hope you have an awesome day!
What I find confusing is often when I hear or see spanish tutorials, the pronouns are absent from the sentences. For instance, instead of 'Yo quiero ir al cine,' I see/hear 'Quiero ir al cine.' Why is the pronoun absent from sentence, is it because the verb has been altered to imply the pronoun usage?
Great observation! Yes! You are absolutely right. Although we can use the pronouns to add emphasis we don’t have to because the verb has already been changed (conjugated) to imply who is performing the action. So, I could say yo canto = I sing but canto by itself also means I sing. The yo is not required.
Hola - Unfortunately not at this time, but be sure to follow me on instagram and check my website in case anything changes. @teachercatalina on instagram and www.teachercatalina.com
Great question! Nosotros(as) includes YOU. It means WE in English. Ustedes doesn’t include YOU. You are talking TO a group of people. In English You plural (you guys)
Hi there. Thanks for your comment. I totally understand where you are coming from. Good eye and excellent point. We unfortunately cannot put tú and Ud. in the same category. Although they both mean you, when it comes to conjugating verbs they DO NOT share the same conjugation. Ud. shares conjugations with él and ella which is why they go together. Hope this helps :)

Great question! Nosotros(as) includes YOU. It means WE in English. Ustedes doesn’t include YOU. You are talking TO a group of people. In English You plural (you guys)
Why do you write usted after he she el ella , this confuses me, it would be more Clear to write after tu as formal of it
