  • This video demonstrates how to use Google Earth in integration with TCX Converter tool for DEM generation.
A digital elevation model (DEM) is a 3D representation of a terrain's surface. DEM is used to delineate terrain parameters, such as slope, drainage network, watershed boundaries etc., These parameters are often required in preparation of development and conservation plan for natural resources, infrastructure development, town planning, etc

Great process. Quick but value method. I'll try both with IDW and TIN methods.
    Thank yo Anuj and Mustafa

It good work; however, it is not quite right to use inverse distance weight (IDW) to interpolate the altitudes. The correct algorithm to use is Triangulated Irregular Network (TIN). Indeed, this is the way of extracting DEM from any elevation points.

Tankyou Mustafa .... surely i ll try using TIN and share the results... :)

Is there other program than arcmap to do this? I need just greyscale from points

What is the resolution of the DEM (Range) generated? Great Work Otherwise

Thankyou for the comment Mr Dickson ... My experience with google earth and other DEMs state that Google is using SRTM DEM so vertical accuracy is same as SRTM and for horizontal or spatial accuracy is 30 m (again same as SRTM) if we interpolate more than 30m the vertical accuracy will decrease.

I had an issue with altitude. It said Mal> instead of numbers.

nah thx. i found the prob. i have to update the altitude
look. i am making a game map. and i need to converst the CSV file to DEM. i am using MICRODEM program. i dont have GIS. you know MICRODEM?
