@@MeetMeAtTheTable I've always wanted to just really struggled to find the time and party to play. I've had it since it arrived eventually after the Kickstarter campaign like 6 years ago. I decided I would keep the core box set for now but Im not too fussed about the gambler's chest, I doubt I'll get to it for years to come 😅
@twisky1608 totally makes sense. The core game can one entertained for years. When that runs out the gamblers chest will be there. 😃😃👍

Looks amazing. Only annoyance is all the different sized cards for seemingly no reason. After seeing the big bone eater card tho, I do wish all monsters had one of those instead of a page in the rulebook
There are different sized cards now. I agree I would love a big card like that for the monster your are totally right. 😃😃👍

@@MeetMeAtTheTable Yeah my group grinded it hard. We played it every week for almost a full year. Played about 3 campaigns. We all agreed we had enough and were ready to move on to Gloomhaven. Then covid hit and the game group dissolved forever lolol. Womp womp.
I have a similar story of a gaming group COVID killed my gloomhaven group as well. Hope to start up a new one. Glad you go your plays out of KDM!!!!
I was relearning some things, is the strain system a part of the GC or is that evolved into something different? Strain cards are the ones with squares on the back of the card from some promo packs etc. Like long term milestones for campaigns.
Great question. From what I have read in the books and such strain is a new thing for the Gamblers chest and is implement in some of the campaigns based on your choices. That’s the cool thing about KDM. You can use the things you like based on what type of campaign you play. I’ll be starting my GC playthrough series very soon. My question is how do you organize those? Because there's several cards or groups of cards that don't have that card tab to keep them organized or separated and I don't know where to put some stuff. For example there's some of those IR cards don't know where they go there's like a resource cards that doesn't have a tab whatsoever for it. It doesn't seem like you're supposed to integrate any of this with the actual game it's a separate thing so where does it go..
That’s a great question. So some of those cards you mentioned are to help get your core box to 1.6 if it’s already there you don’t need the “perfect” basic resources. If it’s an older version of the game you will need the perfect bone hide and organ for future crafting. As for the IR cards I think they go with the monsters you collect them from. There are a ton of dividers that I think are for the knowledge deck that I didn’t use I just put the knowledges in alphabetical order. Not sure if this helps at all. @@MeetMeAtTheTable Yes and no on the helpful. I got the 1.6 update pack so all that should be good. They really should have had a piece of paper explaining some of these things. I emailed them and they just sent me a link to their rule guide.. But there was like an IR card for the Phoenix so like I'm just like what lol. But thanks for the info appreciate it
@DaSmurfSmurffies yes the gamblers chest has IR cards for core box minis mainly because the Phoenix is part of the core experience of the dream keepers but I know you can switch out some monsters but it is a little confusing. Love the super helpful KDM support 🤮. Sorry you felt with that. Hope things improve lol!! You could ask this question on BGG. I am sure that you will get a quick response that will be more helpful then me lol!! 😃😃👍

In a sense. It is an expansion, so needs the base game, but does have new systems/mechanics/monsters replacing the original.

The sprews were why I never got it and also playing all that content on the same map with the same bosses at diff levels.....not enough bosses n encounter mats
