Oh my goodness, this is the most delicious pound cake recipe by far. And I baked it, thanks to your recipe Deronda. And my 12yo had 3 slices, my 6yo had two and the 4yo had some for breakfast!
This is a moist and tasty 😋 cake. It gives a hint of the apple cider but would have like to have a little more flavoring of the apple cider taste in the cake. It is something different but I liked it overall! *I doubled the recipe to make a big cake!
Derhonda, Tonight will be the third time that my niece and I have made this wonderfully delicious pound cake. She usually doesn't eat poundcake, but she sure loves this one.
Thanks...Googoo!! Ive never tried adding slices of apples to the top of this CAKE before baking!! If you give it a go please share your results with each of us!! ENJOY!! -Deronda :)
Shoot, I was going to post a pic of mine! It took 55 mins to bake. Unfortunately, I'm not going to get to taste this first one as I'm giving it to a neighbor. Sure hope they like it!
Thanks a million...Byron!! Always use 100% pure pumpkin purée when making a PUMPKIN POUND CAKE!! PUMPKIN SPICE POUND CAKE coming up on my channel, this Saturday!! ENJOY, my friend!! -Deronda :)
As far as im concerned, the speed at which you list the ingredients, id rather not even bother trying this, as good as it looks. You took longer using the mixer & i pretty much know that part already. Thanks anyway. It makes a pretty cake to look at.
Something seems off with this cake 1/4 teaspoon baking powder????!!!! The loaf looks good but no disrespect but the amount of baking powder just don't seem right
@@sylviaclement4710 You're correct, she does say and it appears to be baking soda in the video but the written recipe includes baking powder. Is there enough acid in apple cider to react with baking soda? The final product does seem to work but there's not telling how many times this had to be recreated and/or edited for the video.
@@monicaphillips2730 I made that this morning…I made it with 3/4 tsp BP & 1/4 tsp BS & I added some cooked apples I made w/cinnamon, I worked it in after pouring the batter in the pan. It came out wonderful my husband loved it..,!
Skewer tip! Great idea!
Ikr! Then tap the pan. And viola! No bubbles

Love this pound cake my dear, looks so delicious 😘🥰
Appreciate the step to minimize bubbles.
Love making breads. Can't wait to try this one. Have all the ingredients handy.
Thank you 😋
Will the cake recipe still be great if I omit the cider?
I've never tried!!

I confess I did use the pause and rewind button often. But, Omgosh it was worth it. The moistest cake and so yummy.
Something seems off with this cake 1/4 teaspoon baking powder????!!!! The loaf looks good but no disrespect but the amount of baking powder just don't seem right
Also seems like a lot of wet ingredients for only 1-1/2 cups of flour. I'll have to make this myself and see if it works.
Which is it? BP as she states in the ingredients or BS as she’s mixing the ingredients??!
@@sylviaclement4710 don't know but 1/4 teaspoon baking powder!!!!!!!!

Sorry but that looks like a cup of apple cider (the cup looks like a double cup )
The measurements she said are what I followed and the cake turned out super good. I had some with morning coffee!
