Anyone remember Sonic Underground? That show was pretty epic! With Sonic's brother, Manic, and his sister, Sonya, trying to find their mum after being left alone for their whole childhood... And the theme song was catchy too, "Sonic Underground, they made a vow their mother will be found!"
Sonic Boom as a TV show is ridiculously underrated. The games are no doubt rubbish (spare Fire and Ice which is aight) but the TV show needs more attention and better treatment from the network
"Still being shown today on Cartoon Network" LOL! That's tragically incorrect, Cartoon Network kicked Sonic Boom onto Boomerang, and are neglecting the heck out of the series. It's a real shame, because season 2 is a huge improvement over season one. Only 25 out of 52 season 2 episodes have aired so far, and I already consider those 25 better than the original 52 episodes from season 1. There were only 2 episodes this season that I did not care for, but even then, the episodes I did not like still had some funny moments that stood out. There were plenty of hit or miss episodes in season 1, and most season 1 episodes felt average, if not bad. Season 2 is doing a much better job at taking people's complaints about season 1, and either fixing them, or having a good laugh about them, without insulting the audience, unlike Teen Titans Go!...
I agree dude. Hopefully, Season 3 doesn't get stuck with Netflix like the How to Train Your Dragon show. Being Netflix exclusive will make things harder for RUclips users. Maybe Sonic Boom can take the Pokemon rout and get hosted on a different channel? Maybe Disney XD like Pokemon Sun and Moon. Regardless of what people may think of Disney, at least Disney XD respect their shows. Are there any other suggestions for possible hosts for season 3?

People hate the Sonic Boom games so much, but no one has ACTUALLY played them. The games are actually really fun. It feels like classic adventure/platformers like Rachet and Clank, Sly Cooper, and Take and the power of Juju.
All the Sonic cartoons are strange but charming in their own ways. Adventures being pretyt much a love letter to Looney Tunes, SatAM which was a more serious take on thing but is pretty dated nowadays. One you really forgot: Sonic the Movie (though you have clips of it) was kinda awesome and ends up feeling like a mix between the two, A lot of really silly moments, mixed in with some dark and serious elements... though overall still kinda light hearted like the games tend to be. Its not a series, but its still a sonic cartoon. Sonic Underground is... well It's my least favorite. I just find it hard to sit through, though it has some decent ideas. Its also trying to be a mix of the previous cartoons, but it doesn't gel as well for me as STM does. Sonic X is also a good series, probably a bit better then SatAM in that its less dated though the final season is kinda... blah. It tries to be faithful to the games of its era, which is helped byy them having plots rather then just game play. Sonic Boom though I think is my favorite, mostly due to Robotnik. He just really steals the show by evil hamming it up. Robotnik's long been stealing the show in the games as well thanks to Mike Pollock who's been the VA since Dean Bristow passed away, and you can just tell that he loves the role. Even in the weaker Sonic games you can at least look forward to scenes with him. So yeah, a show were Robotnik/Eggman is pretty much just the Ice King is the perfect portal for the character to shine, imo. So if I had to rate them it'd be: Sonic Boom Sonic X Sonic the Movie SatAM AoSTH Sonic Underground
Yeah, the OVA was pretty good in it's own way. Martin Burke is a pretty good VA for Sonic, though I don't think any of the voice actors he had over the years were bad.
I actually liked sonic underground... it was te first sonic show i ever saw, so it still holds a place in my heart (and is the main reason I like singing)
Leeny Devino The thing is, the show has no association with the game's canon. Season 1 was decent but Season 2, the show just became very self aware. So much that any hate makes the show better. After all, the show is being written by long time Sonic Fans. Follow Alen Denton on Twitter and you'll see what I mean. And no, just because we're older, doesn't mean we can't watch the show, that's like not watching SpongeBob. The show doesn't need random fart jokes or waffles. It has common writing and good interactions. I guess you're part of the bandwagon. :v
I used to watch Sonic Underground on Disney XD. That was my childhood! The theme song was catchy and it had a song every episode. I loved it as a kid, but it's ok now, nothing too special
Fun fact: Characters of the SATAM cartoon/Archie comics make an appearance in Spinball as well! In one of the minigames, the objective is to break the capsules near the top of the screen, and inside are characters like Sally, Bunnie, and Rotor.
I literally grew up with AOSTH and I still find it funny! Everyone has their own opinions about each Sonic cartoon but I've watched and enjoyed all of them.

Name one more person, that doesn't love Sonic the hedgehog, my favorite series is Sonic underground. I like the villains, the show adding Sonic having siblings and bring royalty. I love the royalty with a rebel side, like sonic should be. The comedy is good, the action is great, and the characters are brilliant. I never played any of the video games. I love seeing the animation of sonic running. I like sonic X, when he turn super sonic, and the show bringing Shadow. I'm not a fan of Sonic boom, I never was. Very glad Underground was mentioned. This and SatAm are my favorite, with X and Boom as my other favs. AoStH was fine but it's my least favorite. The end of X and of one Underground episode are probably as dark as SatAm combined, in my opinion. It's really cool to see but sad. I loved the Sonic Says segments; it taught me about moss on trees when I was already an adult. The Chaotix were my favorite part of X. Boom makes me laugh alot, I don't know why people find it not funny. Dave's line "Don't tell me what to dooo, you're not my mom's boyfrienddd..." is gold!
Sonic underground Gotta say I would really love to see a crossover between this and the games to like sally meeting sonic sister and brother and maybe include shadow tails and Amy and knuckles somehow. Also get a new voice for Sonia so it will be a woman voicing her if they ever reboot the series and give it a game and movie maybe would be cool to see.
I used to watch Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog during my mid-elementary school days. The funny thing is as a kid I didn't even like Satam as much as I did later in life. I didn't hate it, but I loved the whole gang in Aosth better. Scratch and Grinder, man... What a pair. Most people seemed to be opposite of me and hated Aosth.
I'm no hardcore Sonic fan, but I am an animator. Don't downplay the work that goes into traditional animation. 3D is the new standard BECAUSE it is much easier, faster, and costs less money to do than Traditional animation. You make a model (which these Sonic models are super simple) and then you're set for life. All you have to do is position it on the screen. Not to mention, it's almost impossible to make a 3D model as expressive as a hand-drawn character. In 3D, you're limited to physics, bones, and polys that can't just morph into those good old exaggerated facial expressions without some serious tweaking to make sure things don't go through each other or fold. There are tons of 3D shows that are terrible. The quick production often makes producers sacrifice story quality. Sure you can make more complex character and background designs, faster and with less money, but in the end, your product may not even be enjoyable.

Your mistaken that Grounder did appear in Sonic 2, but the color scheme is very much different than his cartoon counterpart. So hes not created for that cartoon and you have to remember that The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog are took form the first 2 games only.
Granted, the green grounder we come to know is exclusive to the cartoons at the time. Scratch was based off a badnik in similar fashion that resides in Wing Fortress Zone.
I liked the addition of a scarf for Sonic, and I _loved_ the goggles on Tails, but the buff version of Knuckles made him look more like an oddly-shaped angry bird.
in a fan made series called "Super Mario Bros Z", which in my opinion is a really good fan series though the creator just recently rebooted the series, had an episode where Sonic used the fire flower against an army of "spiky koopas"
AOSTH: Great. The humour in it is on point SATAM: Honestly, my least favourite series. I’ve never gotten into it. I’m not sure whether it’s Sally Acorn or what Underground: The most underrated Sonic TV series next to Boom and its a shame it got discontinued X: My favourite series and was actually my first anime. The cartoons were good, but I like the Sonic video game franchise myself. And by the way, I love Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. because it's Puyo Puyo in the world of "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog".
I watched each of the cartoons (except Sonic Underground, which is just too weird for me). Honestly have to say that storywise, Sonic SatAM was the best of them. Sonic X kind of fell flat in most parts, mostly because it was a retelling of the Sonic Adventure games, which already had a mediocre plot. The third season, in my opinion, was the strongest because it actually took a turn towards an original plot with interesting characters. Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog is a pretty good throwback Looney Tunes styled comedy show, and surprisingly Sonic Boom is a pretty strong modern sit-com.
This was actually a pretty nostalgic trip for me! I remember having four seasons of one of the original sonic series and I loved it as a kid! I may have left the fandom for a bit, but hey. I might be back...

Everyone likes Sonic X, SatAM and Underground. I personally like Sonic Boom, really. The game is literally the worst but the TV show is secretly gold. Oh my god? Inserting pingas, and Knuckles, other Sonic memes? That is just nuts. It actually has good humor, and its aware on everything. Aaaand its doing a great job on making me like SonAmy lol. The voices are amazing (dont include shadow god his voice is bad, like STEP IT UP). The stupidity is kinda high but the show uses stupidity in the right way. Even though it has it ups and downs, IT IS AMAZING. trust me. lets just forget about rise of lyric.
funny how they are shocked Sonic isn't doing well when the show is of the same Sonic we all hated from the videogames instead of Sonic classic. wonder why it's not doing well when you slap the same disappointing crap on to a new medium and hope it does better than the poorly received games.
noba ross except the tv show is actually funny and knows how to make fun of itself, and it's not like it's replacing modern sonic. Plus the funny thing is that season 1 actually did well in ratings as well as positive reviews, reason why it got moved to boomerang is because it wasn't teen titans go...which is all Cn ever freakin shows....it never ends
I love Sonic Boom. I love meta, sarcastic, self aware humor. I also like the Easter eggs and references the show makes. They even used the Konami code. Classic! I also liked Sonic X (not sure about the dub) and SatAM. I used to watch Adventure on weekday mornings before school when it first came out. I was in 7th grade. It was ok, but I preferred SatAM more. The show was syndicated and came on at 7:00 in my area. I usually almost always came close to missing my bus watching AoStH. lol I also liked Sonic the Hedgehog...the OAV where Knuckles wore the hat and Kikuchi Masam voiced Sonic.
Mango it had Chris, and even worse put more focus on that annoying brat more than the actual sonic characters. He was so bad he basically ruined was could have been a legendary show

Look, Imma be blunt here, Then, even though it was cheep and old, is much better then Now. Sonic Boom as a whole sucks; lack of continuity, out of character momments, lame jokes, bad story writing, and just the secondary characters themselfs are such an annoyance, it's not even funny. I will admit, Sonic Boom was okay with the first few episodes, but it has a lot to be desired; it just sucks(Don't get me started on the games. Minus Fire and Ice, its better). I respect the opinions of others who see differently but, I just can't see anything for Boom. Also Sticks is the best character(in my opinion), she has a lot of potential and her own personality, I just love her.

My theory is Calvin did unimagine Hobbes,but it stayed that way. Calvin kept his personality,but forgot Hobbes altogether. Very glad Underground was mentioned. This and SatAm are my favorite, with X and Boom as my other favs. AoStH was fine but it's my least favorite.
The end of X and of one Underground episode are probably as dark as SatAm combined, in my opinion. It's really cool to see but sad.
I loved the Sonic Says segments; it taught me about moss on trees when I was already an adult.
The Chaotix were my favorite part of X.
Boom makes me laugh alot, I don't know why people find it not funny. Dave's line "Don't tell me what to dooo, you're not my mom's boyfrienddd..." is gold!
Sonic underground Gotta say I would really love to see a crossover between this and the games to like sally meeting sonic sister and brother and maybe include shadow tails and Amy and knuckles somehow. Also get a new voice for Sonia so it will be a woman voicing her if they ever reboot the series and give it a game and movie maybe would be cool to see.

Every year, when school lets out, I start my annual marathon of the entire "The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog". It is a guilty pleasure if mine.
Technically, Scratch and Grounder (and Coconuts) are also from the games. They're in Sonic 2.
I used to watch Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog during my mid-elementary school days. The funny thing is as a kid I didn't even like Satam as much as I did later in life. I didn't hate it, but I loved the whole gang in Aosth better. Scratch and Grinder, man... What a pair. Most people seemed to be opposite of me and hated Aosth.
I'm no hardcore Sonic fan, but I am an animator. Don't downplay the work that goes into traditional animation.
3D is the new standard BECAUSE it is much easier, faster, and costs less money to do than Traditional animation. You make a model (which these Sonic models are super simple) and then you're set for life. All you have to do is position it on the screen.
Not to mention, it's almost impossible to make a 3D model as expressive as a hand-drawn character. In 3D, you're limited to physics, bones, and polys that can't just morph into those good old exaggerated facial expressions without some serious tweaking to make sure things don't go through each other or fold.
There are tons of 3D shows that are terrible. The quick production often makes producers sacrifice story quality. Sure you can make more complex character and background designs, faster and with less money, but in the end, your product may not even be enjoyable.
That doesn't make Adventures any good, though.

Your mistaken that Grounder did appear in Sonic 2, but the color scheme is very much different than his cartoon counterpart.
So hes not created for that cartoon and you have to remember that The Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog are took form the first 2 games only.
Granted, the green grounder we come to know is exclusive to the cartoons at the time. Scratch was based off a badnik in similar fashion that resides in Wing Fortress Zone.
Sonic X and Sonic Underground were my favorites. Only reason for it is saturday morning cartoons in 2005 and beyond.

The cartoons were good, but I like the Sonic video game franchise myself. And by the way, I love Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine. because it's Puyo Puyo in the world of "Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog".
I watched each of the cartoons (except Sonic Underground, which is just too weird for me).
Honestly have to say that storywise, Sonic SatAM was the best of them.
Sonic X kind of fell flat in most parts, mostly because it was a retelling of the Sonic Adventure games, which already had a mediocre plot. The third season, in my opinion, was the strongest because it actually took a turn towards an original plot with interesting characters.
Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog is a pretty good throwback Looney Tunes styled comedy show, and surprisingly Sonic Boom is a pretty strong modern sit-com.

Everyone likes Sonic X, SatAM and Underground. I personally like Sonic Boom, really. The game is literally the worst but the TV show is secretly gold. Oh my god? Inserting pingas, and Knuckles, other Sonic memes? That is just nuts. It actually has good humor, and its aware on everything. Aaaand its doing a great job on making me like SonAmy lol. The voices are amazing (dont include shadow god his voice is bad, like STEP IT UP). The stupidity is kinda high but the show uses stupidity in the right way. Even though it has it ups and downs, IT IS AMAZING. trust me. lets just forget about rise of lyric.

I used to watch Adventure on weekday mornings before school when it first came out. I was in 7th grade. It was ok, but I preferred SatAM more. The show was syndicated and came on at 7:00 in my area. I usually almost always came close to missing my bus watching AoStH. lol
I also liked Sonic the Hedgehog...the OAV where Knuckles wore the hat and Kikuchi Masam voiced Sonic.

Look, Imma be blunt here, Then, even though it was cheep and old, is much better then Now. Sonic Boom as a whole sucks; lack of continuity, out of character momments, lame jokes, bad story writing, and just the secondary characters themselfs are such an annoyance, it's not even funny. I will admit, Sonic Boom was okay with the first few episodes, but it has a lot to be desired; it just sucks(Don't get me started on the games. Minus Fire and Ice, its better). I respect the opinions of others who see differently but, I just can't see anything for Boom. Also Sticks is the best character(in my opinion), she has a lot of potential and her own personality, I just love her.
