Love all of these! They look so clean and fresh 😊 I've noticed green and navy are gaining even more popularity in the spring stuff coming out so these were great choices. Hey at least you got a lot done too! I know how you feel though it never EVER ends when you have your own business and branching out. Y'all take care, hope you get some down time soon to take a breather xx❤️

Love how you updated everything! The clay mold piece turned out great😀
I’ve opened my spot and you’ve been a huge inspiration for me! I’ve gotten lots of compliments already for my ‘Pinterest worthy’ space!😁 Thanks!🙋🏼♀️
Jen Campanini that’s awesome!
It's so funny, before Christmas I found about 3 plaques like the ones you're putting the paper clay on an I was thinking about making them into chalkboards. I have a narrow mirror like the one you have too. I attempted to paint it last summer, but I have a small pile of stuff that I ruined and set it aside for one of those clean the shed days. Love how everything turned out, so pretty.
Thanks! I usually pass on the plaques but I’m not going to anymore!
Thanks I appreciate that, I love crocks, and I love the assorted colors you guys have.
thank you so much! You have taught me so much. I never knew how to distress or the wax. I need to get some wax and your brushes are great going to try to stencil soon.💙💜💙😊😊❣❣
I love the videos when you guys have a clear out!! I also totally love both clocks, the floral wall hangings and that mirror. Absolutely LOVE your videos. Thanks guys!
Thank you! (We’ve got a few more videos like this coming up if we’re gonna get that garage clean!)
@@JamiRayVintage oooooh i cant wait!!! You guys are so inspiring!!
I love them all, thanks for letting us know what you spray and paint by hand.
Good Monday morning guys, well you definitely got me going, you’re such inspiration! I have always loved thrift store shopping & restoring but Sometimes my pieces are ... well kinda boring, but after watch your channel all the time now🥰 i love how you show that a simple appliqué can take a piece from boring too fabulous, I mean WOW!🤩 guys you have inspired me so much all I wanna do now is paint & create!!! 🤪 Unfortunately though I still have to work full-time so time can get really short & I’m extremely
Impatient! but as I always say... Someway, some how it will get done. I do want to ask one ? though... how big of a compressor do you need to run a spray gun? I live in a very small apartment so I don’t have a whole lot of storage so I thought maybe you could help me out on that! I buy sooo much spray paint, I really like the idea of the spraygun especially how you have different hoppers for different colors and tones! anyway thanks and keep on keeping on ! Love your channel, ya’ll are awesome💖
Love the way the blue clock came out...happy accident with the white wax. : )
Yeah it was!
I love it all!!! Thank u so much for showing us ur techniques! Great job!

You guys make beautiful products, I can't believe they're thrifted!
Thanks!
Love them all! Thank you for sharing all your tips with us 😁
Well thats interesting. I didnt even know there was such a thing as paper clay. Very cool. I’m also thinking I need to paint some of my baskets. Our place came with a furnished cottage. A lot of that was just trash, no saving at all but I scrubbed a lot of natural baskets to use in sewing room but think wound be better painted.
I love painting the baskets. Even if I don’t get full coverage it gives them a fun aged look.
Great finds and great look I love the clocks .
Lived everything

Jami ray and her husband, work fast , yet their results are beautiful.

Just discovered you guys this morning for first time brilliant ideas and techniques. My dad (85yrs old) and I go rummaging in the charity shops after we finish food shopping. I'm definitely gonna copy some of your ideas. Nice one 🤓

You guys do such an awesome job!!

Boy they all look good!
Can you explain finishing techniques? Wax, clear coat, epoxy? I don't know the differences and appropriate uses with different items.

Love it all! Great ideas too.
agreed! such good ideas
Hi Jami! I've been watching your amazingly inspirational videos for a couple of years now, working my way towards starting my own line of home goods. As I was watching this one I was reminded that I often run across cool looking small stuff like this in my local Goodwill, but many times they're made from plastic. Sometimes solid plastic and sometimes hollow. Do you guys ever re-do plastic stuff, or do you try to stick with wood, metal or plaster? Thanks! -- Brenda --
All the time. A lot of the decorative little shelves and sconces we paint are plastic. ❤️❤️
I've used many Home Interior golden plastic shelves & sconces painted them off cream then put dark wax on them... especially the ones with extra detail..I Love them. I did some in red chalk paint then used a dark gray glaze on them..got so many complements.
I just came across your videos over the weekend and enjoy watching you guys. Your updates to your thrifting finds are lovely. Love the paint colors! The molds are a cool way to enhance a piece...I will be purchasing soon. Did you seal the paint on the rolling pin? If so, what did you use? I want to paint and seal a bread box and knife block with food safe products. Thanks for inspiration!
Angela Hupp we used butcher block oil or the equivalent
Great video! You guys make it look so easy! When do you decide to use a top coat versus the wax to seal the paint?
Usually if we are worried about bleed through. Wax doesn’t pull stains through the paint like a liquid top coat does. The top coats dry fast and sometimes pull stains through paint like a wick as they dry.
I really love your channel
Thanks! ❤️❤️
Everything lools great, thx for all the tips and info.
Beautiful work 😊👍👍
Thank you! ❤️❤️
Wow just found you two today💜
I'm a new subscriber
TFS have a blessed day
You too! ❤️❤️
Great job 👍. Where can I find that type of molding and clay? Thank you for sharing

great and thanks for sharing....
cool great job
Nice job guys!!
Are spray painting with the same paint over all materials? Metal, wicket, wood, etc?
Yes. The brand is DIY paint and adheres well to most surfaces. Even plastic frames on mirrors.
jamirayvintage.com/collections/diy-paint-and-finishes
where have you guys found your crocks, galvanized tubs, etc for decorating your house?
All over. We go thrifting and junking every week. Sometimes I find them on Facebook market place.
Thank you for your reply. I've used mineral oil before, just wanted to ask your experience based opinion, sometimes I find it a bit think or heavy on some wood types.
I like Howard’s butcher block oil. It absorbs well.
Nice stuff!
I just recently found your channel and have been really enjoying your videos. I was wondering if you could share what compressor you use with your sprayer?
looks great
Great job!
hey jami, do you need to remove varnish off your furniture before painting it?
We don’t. If it’s really shiny we scuff it up a little with 220 grit sand paper. Not much, just enough to knock the shine off.
Love it 👍💜
I enjoyed the video!
Great teamwork! Could you answer how you decide what you're going to do with a piece when there are SO many options. You have said before you often choose colors based on what's needed at your shop, but if that was not an issue how do you look at a piece and decide on style, color & embellishments etc.?
I find that part kind of paralyzing so I put things off because I can't decide. Thanks :)
Madina if a piece is dark I paint it light and if it’s light I usually paint it dark that way I have some contrast to my distressing
Did you guys do some white wax over the little black dress on the key rack ?? That turned out so cute!
Yes, very lightly.
Awesome! ❤ just a tip on the molds...if you get a long flat blade from the craft store for clay you can actually use the blade to drag across the edge/ridge of the mold (The raised outline around each feather) and it'll take off all the excess clay and flatten the back! Just a tip! ❤ God bless!!
,over the painted navy clock!
Found your videos and love them! Do you have the sea sister molds now to be shipped if I purchase?
Yes we do, I show 12 in stock as of posting this. 😊
@@JamiRayVintage Just placed my order! Im so excited!
Thanks!
Hi please show us how big is your compressor for painting ?
It’s a 60 gallon husky compressor that we use now. Minimum suggested for the spray gun is 30 gallons.
We used an 8 gallon for a long time and it did ok it just ran the whole time.
@@JamiRayVintage Thank You so much, love your show !!
Just subbed
Looking forward to more videos
In this case, whats the advantage to using paper clay, instead of quick cure resin?
Not much advantage. The look is different. The resin is going to give you a perfect impression. The paper clay will have some slight imperfections adding to the age of the piece.
Do you know if this top coat you sell works to seal regular water base paint?
It does
Can u show price tags on your finished products at the end? That would help thanks
Curious??What kind of wax for a table top after I chalk paint it?
I would use DIY clear wax. I’d probably do 3 coats. Tables get a lot of use.
What kind of sprayer is that?
What’s the difference between the sweet pick in’s top coat and wax?
Wax is less likely to cause bleed through and gives a nice matte finish. Sweet Pickins Top Coat is fast and more durable for high use pieces.
beautifullllllllllllllllllllllllll
Any suggestions for another food safe oil? I'm allergic to walnuts.
You can get food safe mineral oil from most hardware stores and a lot of grocery stores. It’s the same thing as butcher block oil.
Where did you get those hooks? I really like those. Thanks!
They are from IKEA. Fair warning they didn’t come with any screws.
@@JamiRayVintage Should've know. ;) Thanks for the head-up!
I just subbed today.
Thanks!
