Excellent video and commentary. I absolutely agree with your recommendations. Thank you for the huge effort. I did this hike 3-4 times between 2004 and 2009 This before my use of Strava, else I would have all exact details. My first time was with a bunch of RAF and Emirates pilots. We got lost (no fault of theirs) and it was great to see how these professionals reacted in stressful situations.
You’re welcome. I guess I save the life of many people... It’s too dangerous, I only realized when there was no way back. My mom was like: “Why Pedro? Why? You’ll kill my heart one day!”
Imagine me, thinking that, while going up "One slip I'm done". And I knew the only way to get out of there was going up, going down its like suicide...
I’m only able to watch this kind of video because I know that nobody died since the music is life-affirming.. Very scary. Very beautiful but scary as hell
Hey Pedro, I have a friend who really wanted to do the hike, so I agreed to take him up. I did the hike before and so I knew the way. I'm now done, it's way too much risk for me, no more. Which way did you take to hike across the top to the start of the descent? We took the road and it took ages. Like you, we finished in the dark. It's a 6am start for this one I'd say. Great video
There are GPX route points for this route. Do a little digging and I am sure something will pop up. I've saved all of the points in the past. I might be able to dig it up if you are planning to do this hike.
@@bartcasey i did the one on Wikiloc by Lashari STH Right Bank Feb '23. Didn't feel anything deadly about it & hence was curious as to which route OP took.
@@EnglishRain Exactly. There is nothing dangerous about it if you use common sense. Let's hope that this message gets passed to other adventurers wanting a unique experience in the UAE- there are so few 'outdoor' fun things to do in the UAE that don't cost an arm and a leg!
Wow. It looks like you was unprepared for this one Pedro. I'm in doubt so gonna leave it out! Stay safe.....pleeeease! BTW....have you been to sheri village? My first ever hike, returned home totally smashed like you!
It has been about a year since my previous hike, so I was very unprepared physically. If after all that time I could do 27km hike I think I’m good for anything...
@@pedrotravels - I’ve seen the video and my family wouldn’t cope with the 27km. That’s some serious endurance required. Climbing over the rocks at Fossil Rock / Al Fayah was enough for them.
I've done this hike many times but last one about 10 years ago. The route wasn't dangerous back then. Perhaps a different route now? Anyway, took me about 8 hours to do the round trip.
I did it and can't believe l made it, l broke all my nails, grazed my knees open and the last big stone l couldn't make it and my friend pulled me up, my life was in his hands. Would never do it again, so dangerous
I completely disagree. Know the risks, go with someone more experienced, have a plan, take precautions. It is a FABULOUS experience to do this hike. Why would you want to close it down!?
I can’t believe you did such a dangerous hike. A testament to your health and fitness.
So amazed at the trips you have shared. The views were amazing. You’re a brave soul.
Thank you so much!
You are definitely brave. I definitely admire you and I enjoy seeing your adventures
Thank you very much, I’m glad you enjoy
Been there last week. Took us 13 hours. There was a thick fog so we didn’t see the view but it was cooler and not that sunny. Awesome trail.
Oh shame, after such a hike would be nice to see the view... I'm glad you're back safe!
i love all your videos...tough hikes..cool attitude..super
Thank you! 😁😁
Awesome guys...Thank you for taking us with you loved from Sri lanka
Thank you! 😁
Amazing hike....always marvel at human spirit. Well done.🙌

Thanks Pedro! Looks super dangerous and scary as you say...need to think twice before I’ll do this one now. But amazing views from the top there, wow!
This one was the only and last time... really, when I started the trail I had no clue it was going to be like this.
Content you did it for me, one less thing off from my bucket list lol. Gracias Pedro.
Your poor mother!

It’s an amazing hike but quite dangerous
Wow I wish i could try this someday together with my friends. Thanks for sharing.
You're welcome! Make sure you guys are prepared for it. It's not a hard one, this is expert mode...
Radically astonishing brave you are bro...awesome cool hiking
Very beautiful place and views, but it indeed looks like a dangerous hike. One slip and you're done.

Do you think I can go with my Jeep? 😝😝😝 Great video! It is looks like a super serious hiking

A crewbuddy of mine fell on this hike and passed away back in 2012, RIP Toby Mack
Amazing bro, it really looks a bit rocky🤟🏾🤙🏾 brutal👍🏽
Looks way too rocky without a harness... foi top olhando pra traz, mas já não me apanham lá outra vez hahahaha
After watching this my hand is sweater than ever

I don’t even know, we were following a trail we had on a map, but there was no trail at all. Just coordinates. I didn’t even know there was a road…
👌
I have completed the this trip one week ago 😀
How was it??

Be taken the wife and kids up pretty much each of the lumps at Fossil Rock. Such stunning views up there.
Just don’t take them here if you love them. It’s way too dangerous the trail
