ABSOLUTELY! The writers of this show missed the point big time. How could they create such an amazing couple and then not go all the way; make them end up together. I stopped watching when the whole Maria story line. Edmund loved Brooke the way a woman wants a man to love her! What a complete waste of a good plot.
I couldn't agree more! Edmund comes alive with Brooke. He sleuths and you see him in action. With Maria, he was relegated to happy domesticity and I find that very boring in a soap couple. With Maria, he became 1 dimensional. And Brooke/Edmund LOVE each other, and more than that even, they are CONNECTED. Maria never got that connection with Edmund. Oh how I wish Edmund really weren't dead and secretly he and Brooke left town together and lived happily ever after!
