Killing Karl Mayer was one of the worst decisions of writers, he and Bree were an AMAZING couple. Then they realized their mistake and Bree end up with a character equal to Karl even he was a lawyer.
No they sucked as a couple, he was a selfish brat and she was stupid to fall for him whereas Orson loved her.. She was a much better couple with Orson at eventually at the end with Tripp the lawyer ❤️
Karl and Bree were hot and fun, and it gave Marcia the opportunity to showcase an entirely new side of Bree. Karl allowed Bree to let her hair down and have fun. However, she and Karl were never end game, due to their fundamental beliefs. Bree was extremely uptight, conservative and emotionally repressed. Karl was disgustingly hot morally bankrupt scoundrel who couldn’t keep his hands to himself. Bree would have never been content with Karl, and he would have resented her for keeping him on a leash.
Kathryn Joosten died from lung cancer a month after Desperate Housewives ended and Lupe Ontiveros died from liver cancer 2 months after the end of Desperate Housewives.

Most murderous season was sixth one, when Cherry killed off 12 characters. Least murderous? Seaon eight when they only killed Chuck, Mike and Karen.
57 main and more prominent characters were killed in this tv series. Yet, this is still the juiciest production to watch with the whole family. Real Guilty Pleasure.

John Slattery (Lang in DHW, Roger on MM,) the kid who played MJ on DHW played Don's son Bobby in later seasons of MM, The guy who played Lee was Ted on MM, Paul Young and Duck Phillips were the same actor...Even Martha Huber played Joan's mom on MM! That's quite a few actors in common for two VERY different shows.

I'm not a big fan of Edie, but I don't understand why she was killed off. I disliked Katherine though, and can't understand why she was kept on for two more seasons after season 4.
Katherine did not deliver.... They could have got a whole different character and did so much with the amount of time Katherine got on the show...... I really liked the Italian housewife (I have horrid memory) who ended up outsmarting and killing her psycho ex husband who stalked her and her family for years. Wish she could have stayed on longer
i was kinda let down when Katherine mayfair moved to paris with her lover. she came back in the last show, and Dana has maybe 10 mins in the show? i luved that character, i know Dana did "Body of Proof" .
I thought little Dylan Mayfair dying was tragic. I mean I get the humor of the behind-the-scenes anecdote, but still that kind of horrendous home accident does happen to little children.
I think what Marc Cherry ment was the reason you see all the ghosts at the end is because just like Mary Alice, they are watching over the people who were in their lives.
