Thank goodness I found Marillion in time to appreciate their music for a few more years yet ..hopefully ..some of the best music I’ve ever heard in 64 years..
Like many things gaining age and experience has improved Marillion. They have shifted from a band of par excellence to other worldly. The prophetic lyrics and magical musical interpretation, everything gets better as they age.
How did I never know of this band...I know obscure stuff, used to work at a radio station, did a special show on unusual and progressive music. How did they hide?

I was so sad when Fish left this band....UNTIL I embraced Steve Hogarth and the new direction this extraordinary band journeyed into. Incredibly dynamic vocals, lush, emotive soundscapes, a sonic experience like no other band can create. Marillion is truly a gift to anyone who enjoys beautiful, thought provoking music.
They are truly amazing, and I"m so lucky to have had an honour to have seen them live during the Brave tour, I was 18 now I am 48 and still loving it. 🎉❤🎉🎉
Steve Hogarth has an incredibly beautiful voice. Emotive, powerful, distinctive! He pours everything into every word. I'm blessed to have discovered this band 40 years ago and blessed even more that they still stick together, writing, creating, giving us so much beauty to absorb.
This is stunning, quite different from the Fish Marillion era , like those two eras are different but both terrific. I wish I would have been there . Seems to me every band going to the RAH is exceeding in performance. This is one of the greatest life albums I have heard.

Been a Marillion fan since 1983 (city hall St Albans), "White Paper" was the first song I disliked, and generally I skipped it when playing F.E.A.R.... Then I started to get it, to the point that I played it on repeat endlessly! What an awesome song, possibly in my top 5 Marillion songs now!
almost every Marillion album is like that for me...I have to WANT IT, and WORK AT IT...lol....SWE especially....didn't like it much until I saw the tour live....now Somewhere In London is my Go-To DVD most times
Have you by chance got any pictures from the St Albans City hall concert in 1983 ? Would love to see how the city hall looked back then, and how the concert was.
