Why is it in this game that the shinehorse always seems to be damn near unsinkable in spite of the massive heavy damage that she would have been taking and miraculously in this game she gets all her guns working again and it's able to fire accurate shots I called BS
Same situation for me, That's why I always aim for the turrets first, to at least disable them. I've found that it takes around 6 to 8 15 inch AP shells to permanently kill a turret.
It is my belief that Scharnhorst's armour is way too thick. My 1970's "Encyclopaedia of Warships" lists her maximum belt armour as 250mm, and in the discussion this is given as the reason why the German admiralty ordered the class to avoid engagements with enemy battleships. But Wikipedia and other online sources have her belt armour as 350mm, which is frankly absurd. Better armoured than the Bismarcks? As well armoured as the Nelsons? I think not. Somewhere along the line someone has made a typo which everyone else has slavishly copied.
who believes this carp. 18 knot WW I battleship scoring salvo over salvo on target. German 11 inch guns with twice the rate of fire not scoring a hit ? Old girls plates would be ruptured from the near missies
You can't invent specs for ships that you don't like. Wikipedia says 23 knots and the 15 inch guns had a rate of fire of two per minute. The ship would have had updated targeting. Armor might have been old but it was well armored certainly against tiny 11-in shells. Just because the Scharnhorst stood up to an atomic bomb doesn't mean it's going to survive a slug Fest with a real battleship.
At that range secondary armaments, and torpedoe,s work just as effective

Why use HE?
Not realistic ,, Shanrhorst will unleash two salvos x 1

Well that battle was too one-sided
