Mr Hadelich was incredibly gracious in Mexico City recently. He gifted us this piece (in an, at least equally, magnificent performance) as an encore to his eye-watering, brain-melting, heart-racing performance of Shostakovitch's 1st violin concerto.
Found it 😊 this is also the encore piece at Sydney Opera House last Saturday 😀 totally enjoyed!

Wow~ This was the craziest Orange Blossom Special I've heard. It's an interesting rendition, definitely technically cool! But not the most memorable or fun to listen to compared to a lot of Augustin's encore pieces. But glad the audience loved it :D

Those notes aren’t written in my Orange Blossom Special sheet music. 🤔
He said in his Facebook post that he keeps the music going by also rearranging the other instruments that play during the piece. Because if you don't than the music stops, you can't do that as a soloist.
