You shouldnt panic if your funds are showing loss. Or just dont look at daily progress or you will be disappointed. Keep investing through SIP for 4 years atleast and then you would be happy.
I am just 3 months investor in mutual fund but I have pledged to invest around 50k every month and have huge backup for continuous funding. My salary isnt large and i would be spending more than I earn for atleast 3 years. But then Salary would increase and my liability decrease. Even at 12% return I would achieve more than my goal.

Exactly. My newly purchased mutual funds show 5-6% loss but I am not worried. I know that the market just fluctuates for some time and again it would turn green.😂😂😂
Just be glad that in market lows you are getting more stuff at lesser price. That would lower the average cost and losses would even out at say 1-2%. But till next year onwards the same installment would generate huge profit.
