BACKGROUND INFO:
Drake's first three albums, Thank Me Later (2010), Take Care (2011) and Nothing Was the Same (2013), were all critical successes and propelled him to the forefront of hip hop.[5] His fourth album, Views (2016), saw exploration of dancehall and stood atop the Billboard 200 for 13 non-consecutive weeks-making it the first album by a male artist to do so in over a decade-and featured the international hit singles "Hotline Bling" and "One Dance", which has been credited with popularizing Afrobeats worldwide.[6][7] In 2018, Drake released the double album Scorpion, which contained the US Billboard Hot 100 number-one singles "God's Plan", "Nice for What", and "In My Feelings".[8] Drake's widely anticipated sixth album, Certified Lover Boy (2021), achieved nine top 10 hits on the Hot 100, setting the then-record for most US top-ten hits from one album, with its lead single "Way 2 Sexy" reaching number one.[9] In 2022, Drake released the house-inspired album Honestly, Nevermind and the collaborative album, Her Loss, with 21 Savage. His eighth album For All the Dogs (2023) yielded the number-one songs "Slime You Out" and "First Person Shooter", with which he tied Michael Jackson for the most number-one singles by a male solo artist.[10] Known for frequent accompanying releases to his albums, Drake achieved critical and commercial success with the mixtapes If You're Reading This It's Too Late (2015) and More Life (2017).
As an entrepreneur, Drake founded the OVO Sound record label with longtime collaborator 40 in 2012. In 2013, Drake became the "global ambassador" of the Toronto Raptors, joining their executive committee and later obtaining naming rights to their practice facility. In 2016, he began collaborating with Brent Hocking on the bourbon whiskey Virginia Black.[11] Drake heads the OVO fashion label and the Nocta collaboration with Nike, and founded the production company DreamCrew and the fragrance house Better World. In 2018, Drake was reportedly responsible for 5 percent (CAD$440 million) of Toronto's CAD$8.8 billion annual tourism income.[12] In 2022, he obtained partial ownership of Italian soccer club A.C. Milan.
Among the world's best-selling music artists, with over 170 million records sold, Drake is ranked as the highest-certified digital singles artist in the United States by the RIAA.[13] He has won five Grammy Awards, six American Music Awards, a record 34 Billboard Music Awards, two Brit Awards, and three Juno Awards. Drake has achieved 13 number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100 (14 counting "Sicko Mode") and holds further Hot 100 records, including the most top 10 singles (76), most charted songs (321),[14] the most simultaneously charted songs in one week (27), the most Hot 100 debuts in one week (22), and the most continuous time on the Hot 100 (431 weeks).[a] He additionally has the most number-one singles on the R&B/Hip-Hop Airplay, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs, Hot Rap Songs, and Rhythmic Airplay charts.

It’s funny you dropped this video the same night Drake dropped again. Btw I thought I was the only one who felt this way about more life 😂🔥
nah bro more life is the best@@dill_stokes
how can you say take care hasn’t aged well 😭😭
hes trippin
if trav made it…..it woulda been a glaze fest😭
The only argument I could see is that it's too long... which it kinda is. Could've been trimmed by a couple tracks here and there.
@@DFMusic811which are the same problems his albums have today!
to be fair I think a lot of the sounds and structure is very dated
More life has always felt like it was slept on. I really enjoy it as well. The feel of the album is so fun and enjoyable. Passionfruit is arguably his best song.
take care at number 4 is insane
Say he doesn't hate Drake but goes on to hate Drake 🤣
Agreed. Album sequencing is a lost art and Drake has played a heavy part in making it worse.
to me, albums function as musical movies. they represent hypnotic, dreamlike, mind bending experiences that have the potential to change your perspective of what it's to hear and process sound in the first place.. it's devastating that not even the best modern day albums take full advantage of this philosophy, and even if they do rarely ever stay dedicated to it in my opinion
UPDATE: GUYS I MADE MY OWN ALBUM!!! I JUST MADE VISUALIZER FOR IT AND EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE ALBUM IS UNDER THE DESCRIPTION AND PINNED COMMENT I HOPE YALL ENJOY IT IF YOU DECIDE TO LISTEN:)))
drake is the leader of the cash grab albhm . click bait album cover , long tracklist , boring vocals and songs ment 2 to go number #1. i hope he retires or consumers get sick of his shit
@@crytstalcrustScorpio was quite literally just the game plan of throw shit at the wall and hope one of them lands, there was no other reason that shit had so many tracks
Loving this video. That Her Loss take caught me off guard lmao, you're the first person I've seen have any of the first 3 tracks as skips let alone all of them and then some. I've gotta applaud you for always having the most unapologetically unique rap takes.
he’s lying lol watch the her loss review he did, he literally said the first 3 tracks are pretty good im like wtf 😂😂😂😂😂
unrelated to the video but your coming out with the best music content ( content wich is music ) your accapellas are amazing and your mashups are just as great , keep it up your actually the goat in your lane ( not exadurating)
@@crytstalcrust 🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽thank you so much man😌
Despite the horendous placements I must say you argue fantastically for your pov. I almost gaslit myself into believing Honestly Nevermind > WATTBA. Love your production and commentary
L take for Take Care, Take Care’s easily his most replay-able album
The new scary hours 3 tracks are all amazing
To be very honest, i think that scary hours 3 is drakes best project in a while.
headlines weak???
im saying
CHECK OUT THE SPIRIT OF CREATIVITY!! Http://volksgeist.store
I was extremely happy when I saw u put more life as your personal favoite. Honestly his most slept on ptoject... It's a masterpiece and my favprite project as well... The atmosphere.. the transition from one song into the other and how it all comes together perfectly is just something else tbh
The edits you make on your videos are amazing.
More Life is so slept onnnnnn I'm glad you've brought light to the truth
Honestly I love ur ranking of the drake albums More Life is my favorite drake album
You are not beating the drake hate allegations
I see nothing wrong with "making an album to make an album" not everything has to be a profound concept album that takes a half a decade to make. Some people may call it a cash grab, but when I see drake drop 4 projects in two years I see someone who just loves making music and sharing it with the world, which makes me super proud and I personally will always be down to listen
Preach! Thank you! I feel the same too. Rather that than to be gone for 5 years and people still think it’s mid…
Except drake is EXTREMELY calculated and cares more about drake the brand over the actual music. Top artists used to pit out top quality albums every 1-2 years, not5. Just shows how weak music/artists have become
@@travisrowe7697Jay z put out an album every year from 96-03 and anybody who’s not a Stan would tell you every one of those albums aren’t classics let alone all that great
@@romaretaylor9953 I didn’t say they were all classics, but reasonable doubt, vol 2, vol3, roc la familia, blueprint, blueprint 2 double album, and black album were all VERY good albums with 2-3 being classics. During that stretch from 1996-2003 the only album that was sub par was vol 1. That 7/8 albums in a 7-8 year stretch that were at the worst very good and at the best a classic
“If you’re reading this it’s too late” was amazing because birdman refused to pay him for NWTS and Views. So every bar is directed towards him not getting paid. It’s also crazy when you realize he dropped it unmixed just to get out of his contract with Young Money. It’s nothing but anger towards birdman and ya feel the passion
honestly if you want an music with incredibly deep themes and evolutionary production drake isn't for you, I just like that I know what to expect from him, it's not gonna be crazy experimental or different, it's the same thing that I think he has improved over time which makes him great
How dare you diss Headlines
ikr he tweaking
that song still slaps
“I think it’s roughly objective… it’s just ranked based on what I listen to” like what’re u talking about bro 😂

While your intro I was straight thinking, "Scorpion" was the album where I thought, ok its peak is over. So I see this 💯💯💯 the same.
And I totally agree with your "Car Package" characterization thats why I would put this at least Top 3.
And "Views" place instead "If you Reading this its to late".
We will See on what Position "Scary hours 3" will be Entering today!
Great Video 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
You forgot to rank room for improvement and comeback season .
I can’t stand for this Take Care slander😭😭😭
man says Lord Knows doesnt go hard.
He’s tripping balls
yeah thats an awful awful take
Hey Volksgeist it would be nice if you make a The Weeknd album ranking video just like the drake one
Should make a video on ur thoughts on the 6 extra songs on Scary Hours 3!!
I love the More Life praise. Top 3 for me after Nothing Was the Same and If You're Reading This It's Too Late.
I pretty much agree his albums would be way better if he just focused and made a tighter project cus that scary hours 3 was exactly what I wanted
thank you for saying what everyone else hasnt wanted to say for years now
For all the dogs was so bad man. NWTS is his magnum opus
6pm in new york rnb track?? u good
I love your visuals, stands out, unlike Drake
this is so funny after the first person shooter vid dropped 😂
Respect Drake
Volkgeist editing is another level I’m not even a musichead but the editing goes hard
Where does Comeback Season and Room for Improvement rank? 🙃
you tripping maaaaaaaan, great video tho
this guy has the worst takes on drake omg 😂😂
He’s gonna pass Michael with the Cole collab track just like First Person Shooter. I love MJ, but damn that is fucking crazy.
Drake comeback season was fire as well
Scorpion being last on this list is a disgrace.
We need one of this with Eminem, I love Em but God Damn he has a couple bad albums
Finally some honestly nvm respect 🙏🙏🙏
Man take care was a classic
Pretty decent take, honesty never mind definitely shocked me coz I thought it was trash then one summer heard it while driving and it was just a vibe. Scorpion u need to put some respect on, that album had some bangers not the best but definitely not last at all. And her loss should be higher, that album In 2022 might have saved that year and Metros albums but each to their own. Keep up the good work though
I use Drake as a social experiment of sort. Depending on the selection of Drake music one curates I understand their general taste and what point of life they're currently at. That's only possible tho since almost everyone has come across his discography which is imho his most noteworthy achievement.
The Drake slander is crazy you gotta know when you make music and it starts to be successful year after eventually you wanna try new shit or expand what you could do and that what I feel when I hear Drake now
scorpion is my favorite drake album by far 😭
WHAT DID HE SAY ABOUT TAKE CARE??? THIS GUY TRIPPIN!!😂😂
The two collab albums are underrated
I wish i could get a best to worst for my music...
Keep in mind everyone this is just his opinion and its not to be considered as fact.
9:16 i can’t see how you say that they all sound the same, i mean they don’t
This video was invalid the second you said god’s plan is the worst song on scorpion
Respectable ranking.
sadly you missed two tapes 😔
Bro said 6pm in new york is r&b ...wtf
disagree with your list but i respect your opinions on it, great video
Fair enough
5AM in Toronto is Drake's best song
With all due respect, I acknowledge everyone has a right to there opinion, these are some of the worst takes I have ever heard. I’m a huge Drake fan, but I can accept certain criticisms on him, but calling “No Friends in the Industry” a snoozer is ridiculous, among many other crazy statements
I'm a certified avid drake hater for years, and I don't say that because "i don't like the way he moves" or some other dumb reason ive gone in open minded and listened to every single album and I only came out liking a handful
I say all this because as said drake hater, no friends in the industry is a BANGER I still have that in my playlist, so yeah that was a crazy take ahahaha
You are crazy man 🫵🏼🔥
I need another Frank Ocean video!
Scary hours 3 is 🔥
I beg to differ. Drake's commercial success commenced with (Nothing Was The Same)
missing the latest one tho
yeah bro this came out today
Since this video istn‘t uploaded that long ago maybe somebody can help me out. I have an Drake "album" on my brothers old ipod that I always loved but never could find quality information about. It‘s called welcome 2 the future (if the info on the ipod is correct) and got me in first contact with Drake’s music over a decade ago. You can hear the producertag DJ Wideout or something on almost every tack. It‘a kind of a mixtape. Songs like the winner from the Mixtape Comeback Season with The Bizness or congratulations from so far gone do appear in the tracklist but also I’m goin in with Lil Wayne and some more.. Hope someone out of the community can help me since I always wondered what I was actually listening to.
Probably some fan made mixtape
How in the actual f Care Package is in 6# lmaoo
Scorpion is FAR from his worst. It was the last genuine/original Drake sound that we got.
The fact he has so far gone at 11 really shows his age and brutal surface level knowledge of hip hop history. SFG was a groundbreaking mixtape that was diff from anything else and influenced a ton of future artists.
Unless youre a 15 year old “fan”, you know care package.
Honestly Nevermind was a big ball of trash, dude complements it trying to be trendy.
His criticism of Take Care shines a light on his severe lack of knowledge and understanding that music/albums were once a real moment in time and events in their own right, not playlists for TikTok.
That said, OF COURSE more life is his fav. Cuz it was a disjointed group of songs tossed together into a play list for streaming. This isn’t a mixtape, its an incoherent amalgamation of songs for short attention spanned GenZ children.
Also, just cuz you weren’t old enough to experience the album in its time of release, doesn’t mean it didn’t age well or cant be amazing today.
This goofball loves to hate anything that came out before he graduated high school. He wants us to know how grown up and cultured he is. Lmao 🤡
Just my thoughts. Good content though, its good to spark debate.
Honnestly nevermind isnt trash its just not hip hop. Its house music and was heavily appreciated by the people it was meant for. this guys vid is all over tha place lmao
It really has been down hill since Scorpion
Holy shit what is that top 4?
First 6 tracks of her loss are skips??!!
WATTBA should be way higher brother. The only songs on it that got old are the hits, Big Rings and Jumpan. Everything else is fire and DEFINITELY better than CLB
Wait Wait Wait did he say God's Plan sucked and the MJ feature was creepy...both those hit!!!....I can't even trust your ear anymore...logs off.
I’m definitely not mad at the top 3 I’d put NWTS AT 1, keep 2 the same and put More Life at 3
Views is the best album he ever made 🤦🏽♂️
Scorpion is my fav drake album that’s crazy
Only song I've ever heard off of scorpion willingly is God's plan
Love Drake 🎉👏🏾✨️👍🏾🎊🫶🏾🎉🖤
I love that you put more life at first place but bro, Her Loss at the 12 place, CLB over it? Honestly, Nevermind at top 5? I would have put honestly nevermind at the last place, then CLB and then scorpion, but sheesh putting her loss so low on the list... respect your opinion but man... even saying the first 6 songs are skips on her loss is wild. Anyways i like how you put DLDT in the top 10, it's one of my favourites
Vato Volksgeist!
Uou dropped this at the worst time 😂 He literally just dropped SH3
i would put more life below views and honestly nevermind only above scorpion but aside from that i agree
This list is actually horrible
whats wrong w it
Saying Gods plan is the worst song on scorpion is pure comedy, ratchet happy birthday is right there man 😭
I been saying for years more life is fye bruh
1. Nothing was The Same
2.Take Care
3. If You're Reading this it's Too Late
4. Views
5. Honestly Nevermind
DONT EVER RANK AGAIN🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🗣🗣🗣🗣
Bro it’s funny to think about that iPhone comparison because I thought about it and the of era IPhone and Drake are kind of similar (I know this is a crazy comparison but hear me out). The first IPhone came out in 2007 and Drake starting coming in (07 - 09) depending on who you ask. But either way became popular in the late 2000’s. iPhone slowly kept getting better and people always argue that the best iPhone was the 6 which came out in 2014. From the time Drake came out to 2015 Drake was developing more and more as an artist. People argue Drake’s best album was IYRTITL which came out in 2015. So both Drake and the IPhone brand were at their best in the mid 2010’s . Then if you want to get more technical I guess you can say 2014 - 2016 could be considered the mid of that decade and I’m saying because the IPhone 6 (2014) was the best selling IPhone and Views (2016) was Drakes best selling album. And basically from 2016 to now they are both considered the most popular in their fields they haven’t added anything new or major since their peaks with quality and in numbers. That was a weird ass comparison but still 😂
Bro her loss is atleast top 4 drake albums
Views is one of his BEST albums! You trippin saying views was boring 😅
I really hate your list! Wattba is by far his worst to me I think. But even that is like a 6 imo. Drake doesn’t drop below an 8 really.
Honestly Nevermind better than Views? Name me one song that ain't Jimmy Cooks that is blasting off the top of your head
Massive. Done
Sticky
Flights Booked
Tie That Binds
Jimmy Cooks is the worst song on the album
I dont know wtf this guy is talking about. But it's clear he is not an artist himself. I've been in many studios with many artists over the years, and it's clear tnis guy is just off.
Drake is a decent rapper overall but he is just not that creative, expressive or impressive as people like to believe and then on top of that he does not sing well either. His albums mostly end up being casual, corny, and cringe content wise with a respectable enough style, beats and sounds thats somewhat innovative and pretty influential thanks to mostly 40 and company on the production side of things but at the end of the day, Drake does not excell at rapping or singing and there are a hundred rappers and two hundred singers better than Drake...I'm dead serious. Drake is technically not god awful for the most part but mostly just stagnant, underwhelming or lazy especially for the hype he as amassed over the years. His music is still listenable of course and catchy but thats about it, nothing else. Drake can give us gems and fantastic songs here and there but his entire career feels like deja vu. Each album feels and sounds way too similar. That main reason is crippling his discography. Drakes career is like if Kanye decided to create graduation 4 or 5 times over. That's not gonna make you gain respect or get praise in rap, r&b, pop, dancehall or just music in general from alot of people even if your the most listened to artist in the world. If your just a casual fan of music or don't listen to all the many different kinds of rap, r&b, pop, and dancehall from different eras you won't really understand how mid of an artist Drake has been. I'm not saying he is completely trash but him being called one of "the best ever" by anyone can never really be taken seriously. People who say that are casual fans of hip hop/music or pretty young or worse a dickrider. Drake is still a decent rap artist and i think nothing was the same is a good album.
Placing Take Care at 4 is…. *sighs*
what i do wrong bro
@@VolksgeistYour Lord Knows take, for one, is horrible.
@@Volksgeistbro i can the psychedelic stuff is more of yo thing
@@Volksgeist Saying Take Care hasnt aged great, but you have IYRTITL higher. I listen to that album, and it literally feels like im in 2015 🥴
Alright just admit your a Drake hater
I’ll never admit it
