I have used both of the cases on several different i phones. I have probably purchased 12-15 generic cases and all have failed within about 2-6 months. The Apple cases still operating perfectly. Once you put the Apple case on it becomes one with your phone, you never know it`s there. Turns on and off as needed no need to be messing around with it. I know it`s expensive when purchased but so is your new i phone. I feel the compatability and protection it gives your phone is well worth it just knowing your phone will not be overcharged for one.
The Apple case shows both batterie's charge status. How do you know when the alternative case is using the main battery or the backup battery? And how juiced it is? Its a little confusing. Thank you.
I don’t see the power button as a negative. When I leave the house, everything is fully charged for the day. The negative that I see with the iPhone charger is that it starts charging a phone that’s already fully charged. So if I don’t start using my phone till hours later, the case is already mostly drained. If I want to go out after work I’ll have no extra charge left. Personally, I see it as a bit of a nuisance. But Hey! It has a camera button!!🤦🏻♂️ Lol
i know this video is old but to me the biggest issue is the difference in capacity. you can see the cases are not much different in terms of size but the other could give what is nearing an extra day of usage and to me thats shitty. i can understand the cost of integration with it working so well with the iphone but to me its excuseless to not offer it with 4-5kmah
except the biggest issue is drestorying your iphone with a battery that doesnt charge your iphone at the proper voltage. i risk I WOULDNT TAKE to be cheap.
You forgot to mention that apple smart case recognizes that a case is on it and the generic one the phone thinks it’s connected to wall charging. Also the apple cade has two 1400 mah battery cells not just one like the generic battery case. The smart case uses less battery than the generic case too as it recognizes that it’s not charging and will not use as much battery.
Also I forgot to mention. The generic battery case is only 5 watt QI charging and the apple case is 10 watt QI charging so apple smart case charged faster.

Can you name the generic ones you've used and if any of them are still working properly?
Can you make a drain test on both of these cases? Is 150% extra battery really guaranteed?

Nice that the Apple battery has better integration but man that is a lot of money for a weak battery. And quite ugly. Great thorough review!

I have iPhone 11 I only use wireless charging and last me 2 days maybe 3rd day last me like 2 times
