Appreciate the fact that you gave away the asset pack for free, thanks
Yes, we want more. These are great. Really enjoy the balance of art and technique. The pace is perfect for demonstrating your process clearly without any filler time what so ever. Big fan!
^
It's really hard to believe how humble you are given the amazing quality of your work. You're a living reminder of what a great artist mindset should be: improvisation, experimentation and an open mind. It's really refreshing to see you talk about your work with such ease, without getting hung up on technical details, I think if you stick around, a huge portion of the newest generation of 3D artists will cite you as an inspiration. This is all incredibly top notch!
This is so sick, would love to see more process vids like this. amazing to see how you create such a visually complex and interesting piece with only a small handful of assets
These videos are becoming one of my highlights of the week
You have an amazing imagination, that makes your work brilliant
In my opinion your style of art AND the style of your videos is unique. Your efforts lead to the success of making our world a great bit better ! This is true art which AI never can reach. 🖖👌👍 Thank you so much.
You got that right, brother.
i was just thinking, doing this in 3D and Photoshop, instead of drawing it yourself (preferably on paper or canvas) was the previous "conflict" between artists and technology. Can we call the output of a 3D program art? Real artist know how to draw perspective grids and create from scratch!
And now 3D artists are protesting the next tool..
@@HoofCreaition Yes, to some extent I can agree to your thoughts. But: Can we call "google for a picture or its parts" (or in picture libraries etc.) art ? Has it a level of creation if we put a searching term in a search engine ? In my opinion its all about the "level of creation".
@@HoofCreaition I have to say I respectfully disagree with some of your statement. He is still drawing it, he's just using a mouse instead of a pencil and Blender instead of paper. Using the circle tool is no great difference to using a compass, and even Scott Robertsons brilliant book on Perspective talks about making perspective grids you can re use to save having to re-draw them every time. The idea that digital art programmes are somehow 'doing it for us' isn't really accurate in any way. I'm sure he can make all the assets he's using, but does he need to prove that everytime he needs an archway by remaking that archway from scratch? I do agree that Blender makes it possible for someone who hasn't learned perspective to make images with perfect perspective, but there is a very large amount of work needed to be able to use the programme and a large degree of artistic and design sense to make anything good. A crap image with perfect perspective is still crap. In that sense, yes, it is a shortcut, although I have put time in with learning perspective and have found that using Blender has actually been helping deepen that understanding.
Creating AI art on the other hand requires no skill whatsoever. Prompts are a lucky dip of adjectives that then spit out something random. To make matters worse, every element of that random image is stolen from artists who put years of work into creating their images. The argument that all artists borrow from other artists is true, but if I do a Leyendecker study it will only be recognisable as such because of the years of work it took me to teach myself to physically make those marks. I also would never claim that master study as an original piece of art.
That Ai can produce beautiful images is undeniable, but is the person who typed in the adjectives an artist? Not really. A creator, perhaps, but an artist, no (in my opinion).
I'm assuming from your handle that you are a musician (?). Does the existence of Pro Tools mean that anyone can download it and make an incredible album? I would argue not. But if you could get an Ai guitar, type in 'Jimi Hendrix, Ballad, Beach' and get a mash up of Castles Made Of Sand out of it could you call yourself a musician? Not really.
Again, only my opinion, and I think it's important we all discuss these things and respect each others views. Ai is here to stay and will filter into every industry. Conversations about the ethics of how we allow that are pivotally important. Sorry for the long ass reply! Happy New year 👍
Yes, definitely more of these videos! This is awesome work! Very inspirational and educational!
Yep, those videos are really helpful! Also, If you could turn on the visualization of the keys that you are pressing, that would be even better! Thanks Max
Well Im making a basement scene right now with like A LOT of pipes... thank you, Max
Loved this! You should break down your composting process/photoshop polishing in a video!
He has shown the photoshop process in previous videos - they are all well worth watching
OMG bro just keep doing videos like this, I really enjoyed watching your channel (JUST DON'T STOP MAKING ART AND VIDEOS) I'm lucky to find your channel, I'm learning a lot from you THANK YOU!
And thank you for the asset pack, I really Appreciate this.
Keep it coming with these amazing video's!
Very cool. Yeah, more would be great!
Yes please, make more of this kind of video! A lot of other youtubers get lost in the details, but we already know how to model and texture. Seeing new ways to generate ideas and concept is what personally interests me, and this video was perfect for that.
Would love a walkthrough of the techniques you apply in photoshop to get the finishing touches.
Keep doing these kind of videos. It's very helpful!!
A lot goes behind the scenes but you make good videos, these tutorials are more for advanced than for beginners
This is incredible…
intresting scene breakdown. Finally looks stunningly complex but now i know how to approach projects like this. Really pariciate this
Awesome! Liked and subscribed! Very interesting channel!
Man yours tutorials are awesome! Also thanks for the pack!
Really crazy stuff - your speed is enormous and it all looks so simple to do ... incredible work!
i just got into blender and i dont comment on videos but your workflow is crazy
Would love more of these videos! Super helpful to see your process and hear you talk through things
Your God man, just giving away the assets for free. It helped alot.
Noise to Alpha, that's what I was looking for. Thanks for tip and for the pipes.
bro you are amazing 😍😍 your tutorials are great and very useful, thanks 🙏🏻
Very beautiful!
we want more of these kind of videos
Thank you! I always waiting your new tutorial. It motivates 💪
hey Max, you should do more timelapses too.
Yup, these are great. Thanks.
you are so cool! i need to sub and find time to binge your videos.
if i get good enough, i want to make things like this (already taking notes on tools/methods you mention)
to your question at the end, YES THAT WAS SICK
We want these videos every single day!!!!! MORE MORE MORE
Hey Max. You did a killer poster for a film I shot... The Artifice Girl. I've just started dabbling in Blender for set visualization and it's amazing... especially in the hands of an expert like you. Hope you're well and I look forward to bingeing your videos. Take care man.
Happy to hear that, thank you!
So happy you're making this content! Inspiring stuff, definitely going to take a break from hard surface and try these environmental renders. They look so sick!
This is amazing!
Keep them coming, very informational
Your idea of a five minute break is very similar to mine, except that five years later, I’m still on my break.
We want more! Great work, Max! Where did you learn your current workflow process (Inspiration, Brainstorming to the execution in Blender and then Photoshop)?
Magnifique Bravo c'est extra
love your videos man it's even more satisfying watching that working in Blender. 😁😁thanks so much
You're the absolute man dude! Thanks for everything you did so far!
Thank you so much! I'll try to do some cool renders with the free assets.
hey max! im watching your videos for 2 weeks and i love your tutorials. i started using 3ds max 12 years ago and i've switched to blender last year. and i always undermine the power of photoshop. i would love to see what kind of work you're doing in photoshop.
Yeah, of course we want more. Very inspirational
Fantastic work , I would love more videos like this.
The result is gorgeous!
Thanks for sharing this with us ! I'm amazed by your work 🤯
Great job max.....Thanks for sharing your valuable skills and knowledge
dude, this video is sick! nice work!
You're absolutely brilliant mate
Thanks for these beautiful pipes
Yes, very nice to see more!
Yes, definitely more tutorials like this❣️
goddamn Max, you're a gem!
Great videos, thanks! Please keep making them.
Great, thanks.
Hey dude. I'm super new to Blender and your videos are awesome, really good pace and not too much annoying fluff (nothing worse than the first 5 minutes of a video being an explanation of what the video is going to be about 🙄)
BUT....any chance you could get the Screencast Keys add on? Sometimes you click through a load of stuff assuming we know how to do it already. It would be super helpful to be able to see what keys you're pressing.
Thanks for all the awesome content bro 👍 Keep it coming x
I like your work flow
Definitely more! PLEASE!!!
Would love to watch photoshop editing too!
Damn good man
You should make a skillshare would love to learn your style and work flow
Great work Max! Loving the videos. :)
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing.
It's magic simple!
tbh u should make a master class where u teach us how to make renders tell us ur blender settings and everything and go really slow since u go really fast for bigginers
this is absolutely epic!
Liked before watching! Learned sooo much from your latest videos man 😵💫
Edit: thanks for the free pipes!
Very cool - great video. Thanks mate 🙂
Excellent work!
yo thank you soo much for the free pipes :)
Beautiful, we need photoshop tutorial how to pimp renders :D
Another awesome one man! Love seeing more of the process! Would you consider making a tutorial on how you make your fog brushes/particles? (or put them up for sale, I know I would definitely pick them up) Have made my own but yours always look so sharp!
amazing work, keep it up! great content!
Max Hay's family: Here's a crossword puzzle
Max Hay: Creates runes to summon a demon
Yes more of this! please!
are you using the name material for the ground/wall that use used for the pipes or did you just make a new material (im assuming a color with noise texture for roughness)?
absolutely amazing
congrats on 20k man !!!
YEAH
As always: you, sir, make these incredible scenes look easy. How dare you?! :)
I wish you would take the time to make an in-depth video on your post-processing. I can create scenes in Blender (kind of), but they always look like, well, like they were made in Blender. The Post is where a scene gets its life and I struggle with that. Either way, keep it coming, please.
Wake up babe ! Max Hay posted!
can you do a video on your photoshop post processing, especially on creating that mist
Awesome content brotha!
Your work is so incredible, you have motivated me so much with your videos, thank you!
amazing tutorial.. i have a question.. how did you add thickness to the circles and lines?
thanks again
Love these videos. It really helps me understand the workflow I’m trying to achieve. Quick question tho: do you use displacement in your texturing? Just normal, rough, and, albedo?
nice video by the way what is the display in the bottom right corner called i coulsdnt seem to get the renderoutput of the camera in there
This is great!! Learned a lot from your process. New to Blender, wonder how you set up the render preview in the right bottom corner?
That was so cool. But wouldn’t it be more nice to make a 5 second film of a camera movement rather than a still image?
So sick man! Does anyone knows how to do the screen on the lower right?
Damn bro, you're stuffs good.
Your workspace is super neat, love that little render display, how did you do that?
Love the process, Max! Only one bit of constructive criticism: the guys you dropped in are not steampunk - look like business dudes! ;-)
Hey , Max love your content.
can you make realtime video of post processing in photoshop like painting iver renders and etc stuff Thank you.
Sick content!!!
