I absolutely love my V15, it's simply amazing. That said, it has broken 3 times within the first year. In the same spot. Supposedly there is a redesign in the works. The roller guide at the articulating arm constantly breaks. For some reason they used plastic in an area subjected to the most stress. Yes, Dyson has replaced the brush head under warranty. But what happens when the warranty is up in a year. The heads are $125 a pop. Dyson technician said they may do a recall, but no guarantees. Furthermore, depending on how much you use it, it needs to be thoroughly cleaned to work efficiently. You need multiple filters in hand.

I had the exact same issue and unfortunately Dyson did not have replacement head in stock. The wheels broke off on both sides, just a thin screw held them in with the entire weight of the unit. I waited for 2 months until they offered to replace the entire unit, but I returned it to the store instead. I might try again some day. For $600 I should certainly take sturdy wheels for granted.

@@816Physicist Same here, exactly. Online, Dyson has nothing in stock. They coerce you to go to their stores.

2:40 does it stand up on it's own? Is battery removable in order to charge it? Thank you so much

It does not stand up on its own. Yes, you can remove the battery, but to charge it, you just plug it in. It also comes with a wall mounting bracket (which I didn't show)

Hello again. I'm still waffling between what to buy ( when the next big sale hits ) and am inclined to do some v15 variant but am wondering if you've used the absolute or plus model of the v15? I am wondering if the wand with built in crevice ( though not a very skinny end ) comes off in one step to dump the bin or if you first remove the wand and then separately have to remove the crevice tool to get to dumping the bin. Furthermore, can you swap the wand with built in crevice tool with a standard wand without if one does not like the built in type? If the connection point is different, I'm thinking that all the attachments out there meant for the v8-11 won't fit in case I want to pick up some aftermarket attachments ( or extension hose ). I don't want to paint myself into a corner. It would seem silly for Dyson to make them differently but it would not be the first incompatibility they have I assume.
I think the weight of the built in model is a little more ( goes to reason) which is another detractor for an already not featherweight vacuum.
Maybe you or some loyal follower will have some knowledge on this. My chat with Dyson directly was , shall we say, not fruitful.
    Thanks to anyone in advance.

I haven't used the outsize version of the V15. It's similar technology, but it's bigger overall. Personally, I think it might be a big heavy. I prefer the weigth of the v11, but I default to the V15 for day to day use because I like the laser head.
The wand comes off easily as do all the attachments. You can dump out the canister by itself. I've got a pretty detailed comparison of the V10 vs v11 on my main channel. All the attachments work the same as the V15 ruclips.net/video/A79PApblV4U/видео.html

@@rmreviews3000 I was not aware of an outside version of the v15. I'm referring to the absolute version of the v15 that has the integrated crevice tool inside the wand. I believe this is the same feature the gen5 has . That's the feature I'm a little leary of. But if that model goes on a better sale, it may be the choice. It is also the one that comes with the 0.1um hepa vs the 0.3um, which you can buy separately and one online chat with them said the software is different to accommodate. Another agent said it's not. Trustable information is hard to come by at times.

Bright? I'm not sure I understand your question. I don't mention the gen 5 detect in this video.

I've got 2 and they're shedding every day so I use the V15 every day!
